This dance studio is more spacious with 10 X-Poles and mounts on the ceiling for aerial silks and Lyra. There is another room that will be utilized for private lessons as well. They are still working on finishing touches, but the space is already so gorgeous! Love the lighting. Signing up for classes is on Schedulicity.com, but I hear they will be utilizing a new system soon. Plenty of street parking and parking lots in the back and next door plaza. I love that tjey expanded not only in size but also the types of dance offered. My favorites are their heels classes. Admittedly some of the beginners classes don't feel like beginners because many people already know the moves lol Every class I've attend, the instructor had great energy, broke down the moves easily, was open to questions, and made you feel confident! If you're new to the Playground here are some tips: - come early to find parking. Yes there's limited meter parking, but there are streets that let you park from 8-8pm without a permit for 2 hours - bring water you will sweat! - you can walk in with a bag of your clothes and additional shoes since they have dressing rooms - come with a friend if you're shy and so they can record you if you want - make sure your phone is charged so you can ask someone to record what you learned - remind yourself that you're here to have fun! You can get in your head when so many around you are so good and comfortable. Also, instructors usually get dancers at the end to dance with them for videos and it can feel like youre not good when they don't choose you but remember: you're there for fun

Since the pandemic, the standard drop-in rate for Aerial in L.A. County is between $35-45. I would only pay $50+ if they hosted a Workshop from an instructor that I really want to learn from. The one-on-one attention from the trainers makes such a difference -- I mostly take classes with Jesse, McKenna, and Peter, and they're all incredible. I do a mix of small group and group classes, and I genuinely enjoy every one of them. I love how much focus there is on form. The trainers make sure you're doing everything correctly and safely, and they really individualize the programming to different levels. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, they meet you there and still push you to go further. The group programming runs for 5-6 weeks at a time, which I love because you can actually track your progress and see how much stronger you're getting. I've been challenging myself to lift heavier and heavier, and I've noticed such a big change in my body -- someone even told me I have "Madonna arms," which made my day! Real Fitness has truly been a game changer for me.
