We signed up for ongoing classes on our way out. The teachers are all so patient and caring, and the classes are appropriately themed and paced for their respective age group. I also love the focus on encouraging children to say kind words and affirmations to themselves at the end of each class, along with getting a stamp and some glitter! The little shop outside the class room is super tempting, so it's a challenge to leave without buying something adorable. Thankfully the prices are all incredibly fair, and the owners are very honest about how you can buy ballet and tap shoes in sizes that will give your child the most use. (Thanks for the sock tip!) I was happy to support Creation Station by buying dance shoes for our daughter here instead of online, and, to my surprise, they were actually less expensive at Creation Station than they were on Amazon anyway! After reading tons of reviews on other dance studios, I was very happy with our choice to enroll our daughter here in ongoing classes. The prices are fair, the ongoing enrollment means you never have to worry about missing a sign up period and losing your spot in class, and they make booking makeup's a breeze!

The freshman classes are still more advanced for those who have only taken less than 5 (or no) previous pole classes, but as long as you let the instructor know, they can give you some basic skills to learn. They use mindbody and making reservations online is easy. Free parking lot available. There's 13 poles that do spin. You must bring your own mat. Cubbies are available. I especially enjoyed Candy Cane's freshman pole class, as she pushed us to do our best and taught a fun little routine that we performed at the end of class. Heels are optional. Don't wear lotion to class.

I've been going for a couple of months now and have tried classes with…read moredifferent apparatuses and instructors, and while not every apparatus is for me, all the instructors have been fantastic. Classes are tough but accessible and attitudes are encouraging. I am an absolute beginner. (Or I was, a couple of months ago, when I started. Now I'm an absolute-minus-a-whisker beginner!) Not only that, I've never been particularly strong or successful in physical activity, or well coordinated, or confident. This isn't just the first place I felt a complete lack of judgment, but the first place that has actually let me develop physical skills. Never been able to do a push-up before and now I can do a few in a row. Never climbed a rope, but I can (almost!) climb a silk. Something else that really stands out is how much instructors pick up on your movements. Several times, I've been given suggestions about how to improve based specifically on how my body works, like trying something first with my left side because I'm left-footed, or the fact that I have some hypermobility. I knew there was something different about the way I moved, but that's the first time I had a word for it. Believe is a great place to learn. The atmosphere is welcoming, encouraging, and accepting. While every class is definitely a workout, it's more like an activity. It's fun and challenging, and writing as someone who has join several gyms and dreaded every workout... I look forward to going every week.

I signed up for Salsa classes on a whim to start the year with no prior dance experience and its quickly become one of my best impromptu decisions of the last few years. A big factor in me choosing Movers and Shakers(MaS) was the community aspect that they offer compared to other teachers and studios. In addition to learning a new passion ive gained a handful of new friendships that has made the experience that much better. I commute from K-Town to their Beverwill location and honestly its a easy 18-20 minute drive each Thursday. All in all its been a great experience and i quickly ended up choosing to continue on with my learning experience with them. 5/5 would suggest

Everyone is so passionate about salsa and dance in general and there are plenty of opportunities to really ingratiate yourself in the community while learning along the way. Aside from that, the coursework is amazing. You have great resources (literally an app with free dance videos), you can track your progress on it, and even communicate with other students. Danny has put together a really amazing introductory course (Salsa 101) and you truly feel supported every step of the way.
