Went to Lisa's the beginning of this week to get my nails done and when I told the technician what I wanted done she told me that powder was not good for me and to pick something off the wall. I wanted a simple light pink acrylic and she told me it would cost $50-$60. She refused to do what I wanted. I have been going there for over 10+ years and I would tell family and friends or just about anyone about Lisa's. And I felt that after I told her what I wanted and she refused, I felt that her and the technician that was sitting next to her was talking about it. The color that I chose is pretty but still not happy that I didn't get what I wanted. Not recommending Lisa's again. Definitely not going there again, I will be looking for someone else. Don't ever go here. This place doesn't listen to what you want at all and makes you feel like you have no say in what you're paying for. I got my nails done August 29th and they were too small and making my fingers feel like they were being squeezed. I also told them I wanted polish only and they went against that and used colored powder to charge more. I told them and they told me I'm wrong they're just sore from having them done. The shape was terrible too and not at all what I asked for but of course they didn't care. I finally soaked them off 3 days ago and they are filed so thin that it burnt me and there is PUS coming out from the middle of my fingernail. What A waste of $45. read more

The lady that gave me a pedicure seemed so rushed, left paint on my toes. I had to ask her to clean it up a bit more. She and another technician working in the salon were arguing the entire time. It took over two hours to get a fill and pedicure. The technician doing my nails kept arguing with the other technicians and made it very uncomfortable. Granted I couldn't understand what was being said but based on the time of voice and body language it was very apparent. Would not recommend. read more

I love going to Lisa's! Like everywhere else they have good days and bad days. I personally think for the amount of money you pay you are getting amazing service! I have only gotten pedicures here and I have been for years! Every time my service is roughly an hour and my feet always feel so much better when I leave! Plus they offer wine, soda or water while you relax in the massage chairs. I just went to have my nails done and it is so messy in there. Lisa has let it go hugely! There is stuff on the floor counters everywhere you look. The bathroom was a mess too. She needs to pick up and make it look like a professional place not a junk store. I have been going there for over 10 years and I'm shocked how it looks now. Quick place to get your nails done in a pinch, would not recommend this. Dirty Crowded Technicians have filed too deep when applying nails more than once. Like owe my finger is bleeding! I'm uncomfortable with someone using sharp implements on my feet when we can't communicate. She massaged way longer than needed or desired, then hurried through the polish. Didn't shake the bottle, applied thin coat that didn't evenly cover nails, then demanded the $30 I usually pay at the desk. I gave her the $30. She repeatedly said $30, pointing to the menu. I pointed to the money, said that it is $30, but she wouldn't stop. Feeling like extortion at this point, I gave her an extra 5. I waited a few minutes, then finally flagged her down to finish the polish. She blamed the nail polish for being thin. But finally applied more to big toenails, and that was all. Last month, I went with a friend and had good service. But my friend had a slob, almost dangerously unclean. I won't go back to Lisa's. read more

Today is July 3rd, Tuesday. My mom and I wanted a manicure. It was especially dirty in the salon today. Vickie was my manicurist. I wanted a gel manicure. I did not want her to sand down my nails. She did it anyway, her response was, "I make it look good for you." As a customer, I know what I want, not the manicurist telling me what I wanted. She did a sub standard job on my cuticles. My cuticles needed clipping even after she was done. She never placed a clean towel before she started the manicure. I noticed the chairs were dirty. My mother sat next to me, her manicurist was about to start her manicure she got up walked away and waxed another customer's brow. I had called ahead of time to set an appointment nd I'm glad I did..I have never seen a nail salon as busy as they were.. the place is clean, smells wonderful, has a certain type of class that is just uplifting..I am gonna be coming back.. Lisas does great nails. I am hard on my nails, but my nails have never lifted since ive gone here. Lisa is alway making sure you are satisfied before you leave. I have taken nail art pictures into her on multiple occasions and she has no problem duplicating them. I have read some of the other reviews and while I agree the quality of pedicures could be better, I can help but laugh that they reuse wax.. what a joke, if you look in the trash yiu woukd see the used foot bags still full of wax. read more

Not from Sonora but was visiting my brother and sister in law. We decided to do a spa day. My sister-in-law already went to this nail salon once and wasn't really a fan but I told her based on the reviews maybe she just had a bad day so we decided to go here and she decided to give it a second try. Our pedicures were amazing although in the middle of us getting our pedicures three to four employees were arguing and screaming across the salon at each other making bad looks at one another. The owner of the facility had her shoes off and was laying down on the couch that is supposed to be for the clients to sit down while waiting to get their nails done. Threw me off just a little bit. My sister-in-law got a manicure and all the lady did was file her nails down and do a horrible job at painting them. She hardly even massaged her arms and didn't even soak her nails in warm water like a manicure should be done. My sister-in-law's manicure was done within 10 minutes. When I pointed out that her thumb had an indent in the polish because they decided to do her nails while she was getting her pedicure done and made it really awkward for her to have to put the nail drying mechanism in her lap. The lady that was doing her nails name was Kim she mentioned it to her numerous times if she can repaint her thumb and she kept pushing it off then when I mentioned it 25 minutes later she sat there and looked at her nail and made all the excuses in the world saying so it's just your nail or it's just the lotion that I just put on your hand? Finally I pointed it out to a man that work there who seem to be the only one that spoke good English and even he noticed it and mentioned something to her about fixing it...after that she seemed to have an attitude and ended up having somebody else repaint her nail. I got a full set acrylic and although the guy that did it was very nice it was an awful job two of my nails were broken and he had to put nails on them.. they're crooked as heck. He did the acrylic fill super thick yet the nails that he replaced are extremely paper-thin and the gel nail polish job that he did is super lumpy on my nails. I would not suggest anybody going here especially since this was my sister-in-law's second time and again she had a horrible experience it was only my first time and I would never go back to this place. read more

I wouldn't even give my experience yesterday one star. I had grown out my natural nails and usually get the dip powder. I asked her to keep them long. She cut my nail back down so far they were bleeding. She filled my nail down with the drill to where there were deep holes in my nail bed. THEN she glued on a fake nail to try to make themlong again. I ended up with lumpy, crooked fake nails. I went to a place close to my home to have them fixed last night. All together I ended up spending 3 hours and $165 to have my very short natural nail painted until they grow out. Very upset. I kept asking questions and she disregarded me the entire time. 2 people came in to have their nails fixed and one person called JUST while I was at Lisa nail and spa. The tools they use don't come out of sterilized packages so they're probably not cleaned properly. All the staff seem tired and over it. They aren't friendly and are in a rush to do the job. Meh. I've been in here a handful of times, and honestly it's never been a great or even good experience. Nothing bad, it's been ok. There always seems to be TONS of people, all the techs seem stressed and busy. It's not very clean. If you are new in town (like me) and don't have a friend to recommend who to see... well it's the nails version of Russian roulette. I've had pedicures mostly, one gel manicure. Pedicures have been ok... one good one, all the others had issues. Weird nail cutting and filling, not the best paint job. After a red painting on my toes, I removed the polish and my nails were stained a pink-ish red. The one gel mani I did get was good. It lasted almost 2 weeks. Again, this place is ok. Some people love it, and others hate it. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many other nail salon options here. read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Terrible set of nails by Snow. Got full set of acrylic nails with gel polish. Nails glued on and coating put on. I said it was too thick but told would grind down when smoothed with grinding tool. Polish too thick and told her. Told would be better with top coat. When called told $35 for full set but charged $45. under poor lighting nails looked ok but when got outside you could see thickness still, divots in coating, polish thick. Didn't go back in to deal with poor quality because lots of people there and woman waiting behind me still waiting. Too crowded, moving too many people thru too fast to do any type of quality job. Gel nails usually last 3 weeks but four nails started pulling away at the cuticle area 6 days after applied. read more

I never write reviews but I feel like this needs to be addressed. I now live in Sonora, so I've been trying out this salon for my manicure for a couple months. I have had bad experiences each time but was trying to give them a couple tries just in case it was just a bad day. I recently got my nails done and will no longer be going back. As I am getting my manicure, 3 employees are gathered around me staring at me eating, and chewing with their mouths open and loudly. One is sitting criss cross with her shoes off on top of a small table with her dirty napkin on the table as well. Another employee comes to that same table and dumps their "sterilized" tools on top of the table right next to her feet and napkin. There are already crumbs on the table from someone else's meal. She starts packaging the tools up in the sterilized packages and two tools fall in the floor twice and she still packaged them and out them in the drawer labeled "clean". Because every time I go there they somehow make me bleed or pick at my skin too far, using dirty tools is just an infection waiting to happen. I'm usually not one to complain but I couldn't let others go there without knowing. It amazes me how dirty everything is and no one bats an eye. Maybe some employees do a good job but I have yet to get one. read more

I got a pedicure here recently for the first time and a couple of days later I had a fungal infection all over my ankles and feet. I also have an in-grown toenail. I've never had fungus develop after a pedicure and rarely have skin reactions, so I was super surprised, but it's the only explanation. This place was cluttered and very busy, so I wouldn't be surprised if their cleaning and sanitation is sub par. Do not recommend! read more

This place is awful. I walked in with a broken acrylic, needing it to get fixed. I sat down at "table 6" and the lady was very rude, and seemed to have a problem with fixing my nail. she spoke in her language, throwing her hands up and shaking her head. I was so uncomfortable, I felt like I should have just walked out. I then sat down with Lisa. From what I heard, she was supposed to be the best girl in there. FALSE. She had the same attitude the other lady did, made me feel like an inconvenience. She cut my cuticle, and didn't even file the nail in the coffin shape like I asked for. I tipped 5$ after paying another 5$, because i believe in good karma, but if i could give 0 stars I would. For all you ladies needing a good place for nails, Nail Gallaria in Valley Springs Elizabeth is who I normally go to, and she is the best i've ever had. been going for months and i'm always happy. read more
