I just had my eyelashes done here this place is filthy dirty and my eyelashes are caked on with black glue and stuff as a board. I am totally appalled that people even support this place. I had an appointment and waited over an hour. When I was getting my eyelash set on I can't even tell you how many times she got up and left me in the middle of applying then. The room was dirty as hell I should have walked away at that moment. I was leaving for vacation the next day so I pushed through it. My mom and I went in yesterday to get acrylics done. As soon as we walked in one of the lady's in the front told us the pick a color then go sit in chairs 4 and 5. I picked a pink and my mom picked a purple color. We both sat down and told the lady's the color we wanted. The ladies then started yelling in Vietnamese at each other then told me and my mom to stand up and then proceeded to see two other women in our seats so we stood there awkwardly then got moved to seats six and seven. We sat down and not even one minute goes by and they make us get out of those seats. They never even got our colors out. We had nowhere to sit so we walked back to the front to sit there. The ladies started yelling again to each other and then tried to bring us back down to sit. They were rude messy and all-around unhelpful. We just walked out because it was extremely frustrating and rude. If you like playing musical chairs, this is the place for you! If you're looking for good quality work without making an appointment I'd highly recommend beauty nails in the junction! Much better and more calm and peaceful. I've been here three times now...and the quality has seriously gone down hill in the last 6 months. I really hate to give bad reviews about local businesses, but I have to. This last visit was horrible. Here's what happened: It was August 14th (13 days ago)...I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. Gels normally last on me for 3-4 weeks, if not longer. I paid $75.00 for it, which was higher than the posted price, higher than the quoted price and when questioned the only answer I received was, "Oh, but I give you discount." Um...where? I came home and noticed that my hands were not shiny at all. They were very dull and soft. The reason for this? They use sub-standard gel products, their UV bulbs were so old that the gel didn't cure (even though I was under the UV for more than 15 minutes...with Gels, you should never be under the lamps for more than 2 minutes) and the tech did not clean the gels properly. I had to quickly try to fix my nails so that they could resemble some kind of shine again. After getting them back to a shine, my nails were OK for the first 7 days, after that, they started to lift, and on day 10 they were all cracking. $75.00 for a manicure that doesn't even last 14 days...amazing. Also, when my nails started to grow out, I noticed that I have deep ridges in them from when the tech grinded down on them so bad that they're now indented...I told her to be careful when she did that...but like Jessica C. said, they were too busy getting up to help other customers then to pay attention to what they were doing for me. Lastly...their tools are not clean. Many, many times, the tech that worked on me would grab dirty files and use those (she'd grab them from under a tablecloth at a table in the corner)... read more

After a very long month at work I NEEDED a pedicure horribly! If you are in desperate need, go somewhere else! They had to change both colors of polish because they were so old. I was there for 2hours and 20 minutes and I'm NOT HAPPY!!!!!! They charged me full price after messing up BOTH my manicure and pedicure. Check out the pictures... Lisa did my pedicure today. She is the owner. I waited in the chair in cold water for 45 mins. My toes were beyond pruned... (I was ready to add them to a batch of oatmeal cookie dough.) Gross! Lisa sat down and began her torturous "#1" pedi. Which consisted of pain, discomfort, and anything BUT RELAXING...ending in jagged, un-filed, oily and ridiculously painted toes. Her one handed attempt at a message was absolutely awkward to say the least. After she applied the first coat of color. I immediately asked her to remove it because the amount of clean up involved around my nails didn't justify the fact that the polish wasn't going to last anyway (due to the oil she over applied.) Usually technicians use rubbing alcohol before polish, right? Needless to say I left there in worse shape then I arrived. Horrible!! I was offended and unsatisfied with the service. Or lack there of....she made me feel very uncomfortable and super inconvenienced. She obviously wasn't into her job and felt like taking her bad day out on my feet! I posted a pic of feet pic. I would like to also say that I walked out without paying. She never asked me for money, understandably! However, apparently after I left she lit into my friend whom was still getting her nails done by Nai. She yelled at my friend, demanding she pay for my pedicure because I ripped her off. I don't normally yelp anymore because I find it annoying, but I'm very impressed with this nail shop. I came in on Mother's Day looking to kill some time while I was visiting the area and get a gel manicure. I was lucky to have Lisa (owner?) to do my nails and she handled the busy atmosphere wonderfully. I had to wait and she asked me if I was ok with it and I agreed. And the end of my service my nails were gorgeous and she gave me a little discount for being patient! I've had the same nail color for a month and wish her nail salon was here in Illinois. My friend and I went in to get fake nails and a pedicure, as soon as we walked in we we're happily welcomed in told to get our colors and where we could sit. My friend had never been to a nail salon before so they answered all of her questions and made sure she was comfortable with everything they we're doing. My first time experience as a new client: Owner was sleeping on the couch when I walked in. No shoes on. I was rushed into a chair as I told them I wanted a pedicure and french gel manicure. I've been to many many salons all over the country and have never had a manicure while getting a pedicure. They are all about getting you in and out here. My experiences with pedicures is when someone goes into get a pedi, he or she usually is going in to relax. I did not feel relaxed. Very rushed and "on the spot." I was in and out fast. Overall, the pedi and gel mani looked good. But I was dissapointed, when just 4 days later, my gel fingertips were already chipping. I called them and the man that owns or manages it there said if it's all how you take care of them. I'm do regular activities most people do and wear gloves when I was my dishes. When my regular salon was busy, I came to Lisa's for a simple gel manicure. Although they got me in quick, the manicure was deplorable! They charged me $25 for a color change, basically. They did nothing to my cuticles, did not nip any of the dead skin away from my nails and didn't even file them or even out the length. The guy basically spent 45 minutes on polish! There wasn't even any dusting off the nail dust, he painted right over it! At the end he spritzed some oil on my hand and called it good.The lady next to me kept wincing in pain because her manicurist kept trying to pry off acrylic. The place is a complete s*** show. Went for a simple manicure. Since I didn't have an appointment I expected a wait but it took more than 30 minutes to get started. The water was cold, Lisa never smoothed the edges of my nails and when I got home realized that she didn't remove all of my cuticles. After rubbing oil into my nails and hands she sent me to a sink to wash it off which was fine. But there were no paper towels to dry my hands and when I went back to my station she was gone. No warm towel like I'm used to. The worst part, though, was that the entire place was very dirty and very cluttered. I'm used to David's Nails in Modesto where they are constantly cleaning and wiping down everything. This place was NOISY! I went in on a Sunday afternoon and being a small town, this is the only place open. The bowl seem to be clean, only assuming. I didn't see anyone clean out any bows, now that disturb me. What I do not like is employees, that aren't working were on their phone talking loud and eating smelling food. Now on to my feet being done, that lady start cutting my toenail and then took her fingernail to pulled my partial cut nails across & not cut it. I stop her immediately and asked why would you not cut my nail all the way across. I wanna give them two stars because the techs I've always had were really nice, but I'm really frustrated because twice now, I've gone in with an appointment and they didn't take us until 45 minutes after our appointment time. Terrible experience. I had a mani/pedi. The woman doing the mani cut me three times and never said anything, I had to complain the blood was running into the nail polish before she did anything. The whole time all the technicians just yelled loudly at each other. A day later, I have painful hang nails on multiple fingers. My pedi was slightly better during the treatment, but when my feet dried, I had patchy dry skin that hadn't been scrubbed off and looked worse than when I first went in. I loved this place and always received great nails at a great price, but things have changed. The last and final time I went there the lady that was doing my nails was terrible, she didn't even file my nails before ripping each of them off. I always get a certain shape instead of telling me she don't know how to do that she just started doing them very wrong I had to tell her to fix them a ton of times. Not one nail was even close to the right shape or length that I asked for each and every nail was a totally different shape and length. I paid and left I will not be coming back. Between that and the fact that every time you go in there the prices are different depending on who does your nails they are now more the most local nail salons. I have frequented nail salons of several ethnic backgrounds over the years and have found that the Asian owned salons serve me the best... however, I have never been so disappointed in the service and level of professionalism that I experienced today. HORRIBLE 10-19-16. Do not wait for KIM. Honestly go somewhere else. I have never talked badly about a place as it seemed rude to me, but I had to for this awful place. I was there on 10-19-16. I read some awful reviews, but decided to ignore them hoping to relax at the end of a long day. Walked in, and was not greeted, or acknowledge even though there were only 2 clients. Was finally noticed, and told, "You want nail? Go sit" in an annoyed way by the employee Kim. I waited for a long time for a manicure as Kim was busy with another client. She finally came to me, and with unclean hands began to drill the life out of my nails while squeezing and turning my fingers so hard! I didn't want to be rude, so I stayed quiet. She used all the dirty tools she had just used on the client next to me, and she took about 20 seconds for all 10 fingers to PULL my cuticles. At one point she pulled a piece of hang nail. After all that pain, 80% of my cuticles were left untouched. With my drilled nail "dust" she immediately began to add glue, and added the plastic tips that go towards the end of your nail in such a hurry that both pinkies, and my index fingers are crooked. She added crazy amount of glue on my fingers once again, and began forming the nail with the correct colors I asked for, but in the incorrect way I wanted them. I told her, and she quickly told me, "Yeah Yeah, I know what you want." Next, the client seated next to me asked Kim to paint her big toes, and she quickly left me saying, "You wait now till nail dry. I'll be back." After finishing with the client and touching her feet, she charged her, and took forever to come back to me. She came back with yet again unclean hands. Towards the end of the manicure I asked her not to forget the hand and arm massage, and cuticle oil. She looked so annoyed, but said nothing. She quickly added one gooey layer of clear polish which left so many bubbles, and she told me to put my hands in the UV light, and that I was "done." Before I could remind her of the massage or oil, she went to the back room. I was charged $40. Was never given any refreshments, or even a basic smile, and was rushed out of there. I just went here. The lady cut my finger and was bleeding. and didn't even clean it up, I have blood in between my nail. It was rough and painful. When getting my feet done, the guy was really rough and it hurt bad. He spent like 10 minutes on "massaging" my legs before even starting the nails. I have been to Lisa's many times. It was my favorite shop. But lately things have been horrible. I called for an appointment and it took them 45 minutes to get to me. I asked for a full set and I had showed them what I wanted but they didn't do what I want. I noticed as well they don't use clean files or drill tips. my nails look horrible. I told them my nails weren't what I wanted. They argued with me. The lady that was doing my nails was also distracted by some men working on one of the pedi chairs and messed up twice. The service is horrible. Also my mother went and got a pedi. My mom wanted her toes to be cut short and the guy argued with her telling her they were too short if he did it. Also he kept picking at his hands to get this white stuff off and he told my mom it was nail polish remover or cuticle remover. Then he took the pumice he was scrubbing my moms feet with he used the same pumice on his hand. He was scrubbing his hand with it and then went back to scrubbing it on my moms foot. My mom noticed that they didn't use and disinfecting stuff after draining the foot baths. Overall they lost some customers in my family. I had a bad experience here a few years ago and hadn't been back since, but I gave them another chance today since few salons are open due to COVID. I should have made my usual trip out of town. I just needed gel polish removed and wanted a basic manicure/pedicure without polish or anything special. The removal of the polish was done with a rough dremel that left my nails with deep divots and very uneven. My experience always in other salons is to soak the nails and then remove the gel as gently as possible and use the dremel only if necessary. I wanted my nails trimmed short but kept the same shape, but the trim was done so badly that I had to file them more evenly after I got home. Also, I scraped my big toe prior to coming in and was unable to get across that she was hurting me scrubbing my toe and she thought I had an ingrown toenail and tried digging into my nailbed despite me pulling back and saying no, that hurts! I hate leaving bad reviews but having had the experience I did today, I felt it necessary. Literally the worst nail salon I've been to and do not recommend. read more

My girlfriend and I had eyelash extensions done by Lisa a few weeks ago. We felt as if we had chemical burns in our eyes! If you go here please check the type of glue and remover she uses to be sure that it's safe for your eyes. The lashes she uses are not of the best quality either. She gets up constantly to help other customers. Girls will walk in to have waxing done and she would stop with us and help them. Also, not everyone is quite sure of the prices, check with the boss to get a correct price before they start or you will get a shock at the register. This was HORRIBLE. We came towards the end of the day and after receiving rushed pedicures got to see the end of the routines. They do NOT use an autoclave or sanitize their utensils. They took the tools they had just used on us along with a bunch they had in a large bowl and quickly wiped with a towel (one that had been under my feet during my pedicure) and placed them in the plastic wrap. That plastic wrap had always made me feel as though I was getting clean utensils. THEN. As we were under the gel lamps someone opened a door to a side room where there was an employee taking the wax out of the booty's used for pedicures and putting it in a melting vat. Yes, THEY REUSE THE PARRIFFIN WAX. The lady saw our disgusted faces and yelled for the other lady to close the door. Not only did this happen, but they OVERCHARGED me. I asked and then she suddenly couldn't understand me, and then told me the prices on the wall were old prices. NEVER AGAIN. read more

I'm not quite sure why every review for the last 12 months has been 1 star... My step mom & I were VERY apprehensive about stopping in today as the reviews are horrid. We decided to try it anyways & said we would have no expectations! Upon entering we did feel the place was pretty chaotic & kind of a mess, so again... Reminded ourselves of no expectations. When we started the pedicures my moms jets didn't work so we alerted a young lady that worked there (that in all honesty looked like a cheap hooker in her 5" heels and short jumper), she pushed the button then when that didn't work she slammed the top of a bottle of nail polish on it a few times. That didn't work so when she went to put the polish back she just dropped it & it hit the ground, she meandered around almost deciding if she should pick it up or not ! Then she went & sat down to eat some chips ! Ummm.... WTF !?!? Finally a gentleman came over & fixed it in 20 seconds. The trip started off rough. We did the #4 pedicure & it was VERY pleasant!!! I was surprised at the quality of the pedicure, especially the way everything started out. We then, while sitting in the pedicure chairs decided we wanted to do our nails & they were quick in getting us in & done. They did a great job & exactly what we both wanted. All in all... Literally go ANYWHERE else. This place will nickel and dime you for everything. When you get a manicure (or pedicure) you have expectations, for example, getting cuticles trimmed or callouses scrubbed. Everything here is extra and when you get a manicure or pedicure they tack on additional prices for all of the previously listed services. A manicure that starts at $20 will jump to $40. And the end result??? There was gel polish all over my skin (which the man tried to scrape off with his fingernail... OUCH), uneven lines that didn't match up with my nail bed, bubbles, and dark spots. read more
