A month or so ago, my mother and I and my daughter who is expecting her first baby came in for what we thought was going to be a relaxing 3 generation pedicure. Quite honestly, it was the most underwhelming experience I have had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were not able to all three be seen at one time, but two of us went first, and then another of us went into a separate room to have theirs done. Which already took away from the experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was no music, no ambience and I had to ask if they had water or anything to drink. The pedicures were to include a calf massage. Which none of us received. We felt as if we were given a very minimal treatment. Though the pedicures we asked for were not even the basic. One of us had to return to have our polish redone as the polish on the toes shrunk and wrinkle within a hour of leaving. When it was all said and done we paid nearly $250 for the service. My husband bought me two services here for my birthday, a prenatal massage and a facial. Both were wonderful. My massage therapist's name was Susanna White and she did an excellent job. Very relaxing. She also didn't push any conversation which was great. I believe it was also a full hour of massage. The girl who did my facial was Emmie Cook. The best part of the facial was the shoulder and arm rub. That was very nice and relaxing. I don't know that I see any difference with my skin. She didn't do any extractions. If I were to choose once service it would be the massage. All the staff were super friendly and they have a great dressing and waiting room with beverages and snacks which is an extra nice perk. I booked a massage as a post-move treat for myself and I'm so glad I did - I've only had a handful of massages in my life, but this one was far and away the best! Now if you're like me and you're bougie on a budget, you might think a quality massage at an affordable price doesn't exist. And even if it does, you might think you'd feel out of place in a spa, like everyone would know you work three jobs and you're a fraud masquerading as someone who isn't up to their eyeballs in student loan debt. But life is too short to care what people think, you work hard and you deserve to treat yourself to a bit of luxury. Also, you got paid this week, so go for it. After checking out the website I decided to book a 60min. custom with Susanna W. because she has a background in trigger point therapy which I've benefitted from before. I got there about 20 minutes before my appointment and Abigail (the woman with the killer eyeliner) checked me in and showed me my locker, then helped me find the bathroom, changing rooms, and waiting area. The waiting room was lovely with lots of warm, diffused lighting, snacks and water, and comfy seating. The only downside was the group of ladies who hung around after their treatments and talked loudly (or at least it seemed loud in such a quiet environment) for quite a bit, which made it hard for the rest of us in the room to really lock in to a zen mindset. But also, I get it, it was obviously a girls day and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't invested as I listened to them dissect their frenemie's Instagram post. A few minutes after they left, Susanna came in and walked me down to her room where we chatted briefly about what areas I wanted her to focus on and she asked if there were any areas to avoid due to injury, being ticklish, etc. She let me know that I had the option of adding aromatherapy at no additional cost, so I chose lavender - if it's for free it's for me! Once on the table, Susanna asked me if it was alright to touch my scalp (obviously I said yes) and she started with a lovely scalp massage. After she made a few passes over my neck and shoulders (an area I had asked her to focus on) and checked in about the pressure. I told her she could go harder on my upper body - I have a significant amount of knots due to my aforementioned three jobs so I like my massages bordering on painful, and Susanna walked that line perfectly. She also worked my calves, another area I asked her to focus on, and worked on a knot that's been bothering me for months which felt wonderful. There was zero pressure from her to make small talk, just the occasional check-in to make sure I was doing ok, the pressure was good, time to turn over, etc. After the hour was up, she stepped out so I could get into my robe and was waiting for me outside with a cool glass of water. As she walked me back to the waiting area, she let me know that she noticed some muscle imbalances in my calves, and recommended doing some strengthening and mobility exercises to help prevent further pain/injury which I thought was really above and beyond. Check-in is upstairs and check-out is downstairs, which I thought was kind of odd when I got there, but on my way out I was too relaxed to care. As I was leaving the changing room, I bumped into a woman and we did the awkward smile and shuffle to get out of the way but we kept stepping to the same side. Then we both stepped back to let the other go. Then we both stepped forward to go first. My brain was swimming in happy chemicals so I was too zonked out to feel embarrassed about looking and acting like I'd had a lobotomy. So if you're reading this ma'am, it was nice dancing with you. All the employees I interacted with were kind and helpful, everything was clean and tidy, I feel like the price was a great value, and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. I'd love to make this a regular thing, but I may have to move into the next tax bracket before I feel comfortable giving it a permanent spot in my budget. Regardless of frequency, I will certainly be booking with Susanna again! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! It's not the same. I've been going here a long time and I was told by employees they had new management, a new system, new people and they were having problems. I know some people left that weren't happy with management. My issue has to deal with bad management. I was sitting at the salon there getting my nails done and I received a text saying I booked an appointment. I showed the text to the lady doing my nails. I didn't book an appointment. I told her they keep sending me texts for appointments I didn't book. Thats not my problem If their system or people messed something up. If I didn't book an appointment I'm not going to pay for it. I have $450 in gift cards. The owners are refusing to honor or refund the money back. Instead they hung up on me when I called them about it. The management here is deceitful and does not tell the truth. Save yourself the heartache and goes some place else. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to hopefully spare someone else the same frustration. I went in for a prestige facial hoping to relax and treat my skin, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a bad experience leaving frustrated and disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was booked with a new esthetician--something I wasn't informed about until the service was over.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From the start the facial itself was inconsistent with past experiences. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I explained my trouble areas I wanted treated with the microdermabrasion and felt completely dismissed after asking to turn up the machine multiple times.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The suction was inconsistent and never seemed to get a suction onto my skin due to poor application/handling of the device and very rushed through by the esthetician. At the end of the facial she asked if I wanted to look in the mirror and I pointed out the very visible black heads that were still on my nose and chin which were the problem areas I pointed out in the beginning of the treatment and told her I usually feel a stronger more consistent suction with the machine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She completely dismissed my concerns and left the room for me to put my robe on.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I exited the room and I am normally greeted with a glass of water and offered a glass of wine and told I can relax in a waiting area before leaving. This esthetician did not offer me anything and just handed me a sheet of products to buy and told me to go checkout downstairs leaving me even more let down with my entire experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I dressed and went to checkout for my facial and expressed my concerns to the front desk, they were polite but dismissive, offering no real apology but offered $10 off my service saying she was new and would let someone know.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I booked this facial wanting results, not poor service and a $10 coupon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand that everyone has to start somewhere, but clients should be informed and given the choice before being booked with someone in training.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came to the spa expecting a rejuvenating experience and left feeling worse than when I arrived. I can't believe I have passed by this salon for so many years and never giving it a try until now! I now understand why the parking lot is always full and women are always raving about this place! I have had three massages from here from the same lady named Saundra. She is booked weeks in advance. If you ever get a massage from her you will understand why this woman is always so popular and loved by so many! I am a stay at home mom of two with a lot of back issues and always trying to find someone who gives a quality deep pressure massage but always have a hard time finding one. She gets more knots out of me in the first 10 minutes of the massage than most people do and an entire hour. I also like that in the waiting room to be called back for your service they have complimentary wine and chocolate or if you're craving something salty they even have pretzels or Cheez-Its. It's super calming and relaxing. Once you were checked in you were assigned a walker and given a robe and slippers they even have a bathroom with a shower hairdryer etc. the only problem is this is in the bathroom and there is only one of them so anytime I shower after a massage I always feel rushed having to get out for the next person. Downstairs is where you check out and they even have a gift area where you can buy anything from candles jewelry clothing or hair products. They have quality products such as oribe. Really disappointed in the service/quality of products here at Bella Strada. I had a gel manicure done on the afternoon of Fri, 6/21, and less than 24 hours later, all of my nails had peeled off. I called and they immediately rebooked me to have my fingers fixed at no cost this past Tuesday, 6/25, but it is now the afternoon of Thursday, 6/27, and four of my fingers have peeled off once again. I am a semi-regular nail person, meaning I'll get my nails done then hold off long enough to let the nailbeds recover because I get them done again. I have never had an issue where my gel peels off like this. I'm really disappointed that two sets of gel couldn't even last a week, combined. read more

I walked in wanting someone to tackle my knots and I walked out in bliss! One week later, I decided to try a facial with Kathleen. She came with great recommendations - I know why! I had a massage done by Sandra today. She is a senior master massage therapist there and it was a beautiful experience. She was attentive to areas I pointed out and definitely kept pressure at a level of relaxation the way I requested. On a side note, in the waiting room a group of girls got out of their procedures and they were raving about facials they received. They literally said they would never think that a facial could feel better than a massage. I'm not a facial person but I'm so intrigued now I might just go and get one because I personally witnessed their excitement. Spa was clean, quite, nicely decorated and staff was extremely courteous. Bella Strada provided me with a terrible experience. I arrived at 11 for my 11:15 appt because I was told I would need to fill out paperwork. When I arrived, I was quickly ushered to a waiting room and was given no information about paperwork, who would be doing my facial, etc. After waiting for 40 mins, I was finally taken back only to discover I couldn't receive microdermabrasion because of being on a topical acne gel. This didn't upset me. I'm grateful Suzanne was looking out for my skin. When I said I wished the receptionist had informed me of this, I was told I couldn't expect the receptionist to know. Suzanne offered to give me a basic facial then quickly added that she only had 45 mins, so my options were limited. She gave me 2 samples of sunscreen and an apology and sent me on my way . I did not receive a service. This isn't acceptable. The receptionist should have basic knowledge about facials so both the client and esthetician are spared from wasting their time. When a client is taken to the waiting room, allow them to change into a robe, offer refreshments, etc. Apologize if the client had to wait. And most importantly, make it your goal to satisfy a client who is clearly disappointed they can't receive a treatment they've been looking forward to. I don't want sunblock and a pat on the back, especially after waiting for 40 mins! I want a fluffy robe, I want alcohol, I want warm steam, I want some temple rubbing action, like, come on! I do not recommend Bella Strada. Don't do it, y'all. read more

Prenatal massage was pretty disappointing. I had high expectations and was told when I booked they put me with someone who was great with deep tissue and strong pressure. WRONG. Was told it was "custom" and full body. WRONG. When I asked for more pressure she said "its really hard". And then said she wasn't supposed to do it hard on pregnant ladies. I said, well I asked when I booked and they said you were great at deep tissue and strong pressure. She didn't start on time and didn't even do a full hour. Skipped half my body. Didn't do the same things on both sides. Didn't have a belly hole table. Didn't do the areas I asked her to focus on. It was fun to feel fancy but a very average massage, in my opinion. read more

I booked an hour massage for my husband's birthday and I told the receptionist I wanted to book the summer spa special which was an hour massage at a discounted price. She didn't say a word and just helped me book the next available day for that service. After the massage was over, my husband went to pay, and they charged him the regular price and not the special price. He asked and was told that I didn't mention "beat the heat" when I booked the appointment. He went ahead and paid the full price and left it at that. The manager called me the next day and apologized and gave us a refund to make things right. I appreciated them making the effort to correct the problem. My husband said his massage was great! Twice, I showed up for an appointment and they didn't have my appointment in the system. I was so upset since I had to wait 2 weeks for one of the appointments. I received a call from one of the owners and received a complimentary massage. Shelly was wonderful! She has definitely redeemed this business from my perspective. She has some medical knowledge and knows more than your typical massage therapist. I hear that Terry is also a great massage therapist. If you need a facial ask for Kayla. I had special $75 dollar massage scheduled for a Friday was called a couple hours after booking that I could not use the special any day but Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday. This is not the first time I have had an issue with a "special". In my personal opinion if someone made the mistake of booking me on the wrong day I that sucks for y'all but you need to honor the special. Friday was my only open day I could get in this month.
