I was just roaming around looking at stuff, and the staff person working came and asked me if I needed any help. There aren't many liquor stores around that do that, and she truly seemed sincere when asking me, too. Sometimes it just feels like an obligation. She also took the time to tell me about the new summer drinks they'd gotten in. She told me about the High Noon ones and said they were really good. I'm not a big fan of Club soda, so I decided to try the new UV Go. It was less than $2.50 for the can, and it was REALLY good. I had the blue raspberry one. I'm excited to try more. They also had pink lemonade at this store. The store is not huge, so the items are kind of cramped, but the service is great. The prices on the things I looked at were also reasonable. I'll be back.

This can be attributed to the buying power of Wegmans and having a good relationship with the chateaus there. Also because Century was previously owned by Sherwood Deutsch, a pharmacist turned wine merchant who also had established close relationship with Bordeaux winemakers since the mid-1960s. Sherwood eventually sold his wine business to the Wegman family in 2007. If you go all the way to the back of the store, there is "The Sherwood Room" which houses a lot of their higher end wine. It's quite impressive to see as a self-proclaimed wine nerd. Anyways the selection is great and their prices are often better than what you can find online. They also have knowledgeable staff. John McMahon in particular knows his stuff regarding wine, so ask for him if you're in the store with questions regarding wine.
