The turnover rate is ferocious with Teitler. What is even worse, the only dentists that remained were a couple of dentists I didn't like. Finally, I would say Teitler dentistry is likley fine for cleanings and the occasional filling but not for people over 40. As we age teeth develop problems and Teitler's inexperienced and ever changing crew did not address the changes in my mouth. I was working and fully insured and would have paid virtually nothing for Teitler to fix the issues but they did not even mention any of the issues. Worse, they sounded like they were guessing when I complained of pain as to which tooth was the problem. I got a new dentist. They showed me in great detail all of the unaddressed issues. Since I am retired the cost of fixing all of the issues which Teitler's revolving carousel of rookies missed or chose not to address will cost me out of pocket around $5,000.00!!!!!!!!! I would score them a ZERO but that wasn't an option. I am consulting an attorney with a view towards litigation.

Avoid this practice at all costs if you value your time, or being treated with respect.

Since nothing was actually done incorrectly, and my real issues are with scheduling and communication, I'm bumping this up to 3 stars. I still feel like Dr. Patton was rushed. A few minutes explaining that the filling was unusually deep and I might experience pain for a few weeks or even months would have gone a long way. Went in for a filling. Waited in the chair for 30 minutes after they numbed me before they got started. I overhead that Dr. Patton had 3 people booked at once and that's why she was late. Wish they had given me the option to reschedule, but oh well. Despite being numb the filling became painful as they kept working. I wanted to ask about it, but Dr. Patton left before I was even upright. The hygienist suggested I use ibuprofen and call them if it remained painful. Since then I have been in pain and using ibuprofen to manage it. I waited a week to see if it would subside, then tried to make an appointment. After playing phone tag (I never was able to call and get a human being on the phone), I finally got a call back. Because I couldn't take their first available appointment in 3 days time due to a work meeting, I was told I would have to take one on April 14th. That's two weeks out. When I asked why I couldn't get a sooner emergency appointment I received a sarcastic 'well coudn't you move your meeting?'. No, I have to work too. Deeply displeased with this place. I don't understand all the positive reviews. I'm going to be getting this fixed elsewhere.

Once for a cleaning, and once for a set of fillings…read more The office was very accomodating to my schedule, getting me in quickly, and combining a new patient appointment and a cleaning into one visit (as I have a challenge getting off from work for too many days). I was seen immediately upon arriving, and the hygenist was both very nice and very thorough. As to the filling, again I was taken back immediately upon arrival. They certainly are quick! My fillings were in my front teeth, and the composite fillings look wonderful. Dr. Fenlon has a very deft touch with a needle... one of the two least painful novacaines I've ever had! The other being a root canal specialist also in the Baltimore area. (Over the years, I've had quite a lot of needlework to compare to.) The resin work is seamless with the tooth, and he even fixed a chip I've had on the bottom of the same tooth as one of the cavities for well over a decade while he was at it. Looks great! I was surprised. When I got done, I noticed something was different, and then it dawned on me that the raggedy corner was gone.... pleasant surprise! I'd always just kind of lived with it. He said it didn't take much while he was already doing all the work. I think I've found a new dentist...I'm thrilled, and I recommend you give him a try. He's a bit of a hidden gem, being located all the way out in Western Howard County, but well worth the drive!

I feel that means patient care DOES NOT COME FIRST, I think making $$$$is the first priority. I am happy I switched.

I could not chew until that time because my crown prevented my teeth from touching to chew. I went back to have the final crown done, it was also done poorly. Same too high crown issue. I was then told I needed a root canal. I chose to get a second opinion. I was told I don't need a root canal, that the crown was too high. I'm beginning to wonder about the cavities they saw in first visit. They said nine and I haven't had that many in 65 years.
