(Also I didn't feel like half day K was enough for her inquisitive mind.) The school was flexible about our unusual attendance arrangement, though understandably, it didn't cost much less for a half day slot vs. full day. They always made her feel welcome when she came in mid-day. She really loved it there, despite being a kid who chafes at rules at home - she really thrived in that environment. Teacher Angela was fantastic and they quickly gave my child appropriate work for her level since she started already knowing how to read and being able to do basic addition and subtraction. Their written evals were detailed and helpful, and I felt like they really got to know my child in a short time. Their summer program was fantastic and their extended care option was flexible for the times we needed a little extra care. They also had a fantastic "Parents Night Out" where they also welcomed siblings, and we took advantage of that a few times. This is a true Montessori, where kids are expected to learn how to be self-directed. We came from less-rigid Montessori schools, so getting used to the strict dress code was hard for us as parents, but my daughter was fine with it. Our daughter entered a rigorous Mandarin immersion program the next year in 1st grade, and Madrone prepared her VERY well for it. I'd highly recommend it if you are open to a more academic environment for your pre-K/kindergartner and want to encourage independence.

Due to slope they needed a CAT with tracks to take brush up to the chipper as the chipper couldn't make it down-they did a great job of not destroying my dirt road and left it better than they found it. The hot tub is so nice and the outdoor canoe shower with hot and cold water rain shower, and hand held shower for feet cleaning was so nice. Many in our group chose to shower in the morning out there instead of the bathrooms inside. We had some mishaps while we were there the fridge died. Shary was so apologetic and somehow got us a new odd size fridge in under 36 hours. She It was a saving grace that she has a plumbed ice maker on the deck that kept our coolers stocked. It was a heat wave when were there 98 degrees but she has lots of fans on hand and if you keep the house closed up it stays pretty cool. This was the best stocked kitchen of any vacations rental I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at a lot. She has a large armoire in the kitchen with lots of empty baskets which was nice to put our own stuff in and organize so we felt at home. The living room is so cozy with the 90 year old stone fireplace 2 leather wing back recliners, oversized sofa and swivel rocker recliner. If you are looking for a place to swim, float, cannonball, sleep in a hammock and be away from the city life You have found your spot. If you are freaked out about lake weeds that might tickle your legs or tree sap all over the soles of your shoes and having to leave them at the door this might not be your place. I will be back next year and I can't wait !!

We have been using Ben's Zap Haul services since we moved to Nevada County about 5 years ago. The…read morefirst call for his service was to remove old building, fencing and construction supplies left behind by the previous owner. He responded quickly, did an excellent job and charged a very fair price. The next work Ben did for us was to refresh the driveway. I think that was 3-4 loads of gravel delivered and spread. Over the next couple years we hired Ben and his crew to support several "dirt work", rock and gravel projects. They built an RV parking area large enough for 2 RVs, a play/picnic area, and lastly an an outdoor social area. These three projects included on the order of 7-8 loads of base gravel, as well as 3 loads of larger rocks, placed to retain gravel and add structure. Over the years Ben, Marley and crew have done several smaller brush, limbing and tree work projects. The latest work was to clean up about 1 1/2 acres of our land, (fuels reduction) It's black Oak, Madrone, and the Manzanita that was 10' tall and literally so thick you couldn't even crawl through it. This work was performed on a fairly moderate slope. Ben brought his masticator, excavator and bucket loader, along with his crew. They worked a solid 8-9 hours. I wish I had before pictures, they left it looking "like a park" for sure. And once again, I had shopped around a bit, and Ben's rates were the best, as expected. I trust Ben, and highly recommend him for any services he offers. As the cooler/wetter weather returns, I'll have Ben and his crew back out for another rock/landscaping project, and another acre or so of brush/tree work. With a little over 5 acres, it's endless...

Even more concerning are instances of inconsistent and potentially discriminatory practices. I submitted a legitimate claim for a repair covered under HOA responsibility, only for it to be denied. Weeks later, another homeowner received approval for the exact same repair. Backed by Annette and Sharon, this selective enforcement raises serious questions about fairness and equity. Unfortunately, these issues are just the tip of the iceberg in a long list of frustrating experiences with CAMS. It's deeply regrettable that my community continues to rely on them. I strongly advise steering clear of this company at all costs--if negative stars were an option, that's what they would deserve.
