I've stayed at Lagunitas Lake House on numerous occasions. We continue to go back to this lovely property two sometimes three times a year. The owners go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and the home is spotless, fully stocked and beautifully appointed. Shary is a lovely lady, checked on us during our stay to see if everything was in order or if we needed anything. I highly recommend Lagunitas Lake House. It's the perfect getaway!! This place is a hidden gem! A beautiful private lake with everything you need for a good time: a swimming platform and rope swings! I've stayed here year round now and the lake warms up quick in the spring, but it's still beautiful to look at in the winter time from the hot tub on the deck. The house is plenty big for our family and friends, and the fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook throughout your stay. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning again. read more

I would have given Lagunita Lake House five stars but we've been having issues with the host since we checked out. The hot tub was filthy when we arrived (see photos). We had to scrub it by hand and were unable to use it for the first two days because the water was so disgusting. She was great and very responsive at first, until I brought that to her attention. She ignored my messages. After I wrote a review and requested a refund, she then tried to claim we damaged her property (a pillow cover was ripped in our elderly guests room supposedly and apparently grown teenagers and adults drew hearts with crayon a wood framed door LOL). She said she declined our small refund request, because of the damages (that were there prior to our arrival) and because of the three star review I wrote. Since that violates Airbnbs extortion policy, our request was approved. I think Shary got embarrassed and is retaliating against us because of the photos and a review. Her responses and rants to Airbnb and my requests prove this. Everything else was amazing. The lake, the views, the peace and quiet, the hammocks, and the waterfalls were just awesome, but Shary has been a nightmare to deal with. I'm appalled that she would try to blame us for things we didn't do simply out of spite. Shary did not once apologize or seem remotely bothered when I sent the pictures to her. She told Airbnb that her house cleaner cleaned the hot tub and the filters the day we arrived (my photos ad videos say otherwise). I think Shary needs a new house cleaner or she needs to hire a professional spa cleaner. We would have loved to come back, but after this experience we will not be coming back. I wouldn't recommend you stay here because of Shary. There's another Airbnb rental close by, it does not have a hot tub, but on the plus side you wouldn't have to deal with Shary. If you do decide to stay at Lagunita Lake House make sure to document everything! You should take both photos and videos of the entire place like we did just in case you have the same issues we are having. read more

I have stayed at this home several times. I was there in August and am looking forward to my upcoming stay in October. It could not be lovelier! Beautiful views, well stocked, comfortable beds, and clean. Who could ask for anything more? The owner, Shary, Has always been extremely pleasant to deal with. I love the deck add on and the hot tub addition! It is so peaceful to sit in the hot tub and be able to look right out at the lake. The Lagunita Lake House was everything we wanted in a weekend getaway: cozy inside with a great fireplace, comfy beds & room for the whole family, a fantastic deck to relax under the trees, & not to mention the hot tub under the dreamy string lights at night as you listen to symphony of frogs in the evening & birds in the morning. All this & more located at the side of quaint little lake, close to load of hiking trails, rivers, beautiful views & the fun little town of Georgetown.
