I left a note on their tools that they left in the buildings hallway to "please not ring my doorbell anymore" as it was becoming a nuiscance especially so early in the morning. The note was placed on my door and my car was keyed. Little do they know i have cameras in my car because of past vandalism and will be checking the tape ASAP and filing charges and suing these low lifes. If this is the kind of people this company hires, do yourself and go elsewhere.

We recently had our roof replaced by Refined Roofing from Refined Home Services. We made a…read morehorrible choice. LIke many people, we rely on customer reviews and word of mouth when hiring for home projects. Despite being the most expensive option, we chose Refined Roofing after relying on other customer reviews. A huge mistake! In short, do not hire Refined Roofing because of their lack of site management, their lack of professionalism, and their deceitful behavior. We live in a neighborhood where houses are close to one another. We were concerned about the impact of our project on our neighbors and made this clear to Refined Roofing at the start. We were promised careful site management from a site supervisor, with a specific promise to tarp the area, including the neighbor's yard, to capture all debris. NO supervisor was on site during the actual execution of the project. As the photo shows, the area was INADEQUATELY tarped, debris was carelessly spewed all over our property and our neighbor's. When supervisors finally visited the site, they promised to repair the neighbor's yard. Once I paid my bill, they refused to make good on their promise. Additionally, the actual workmanship was sloppy. Among other things, they knowingly applied broken shingles to the new roof and did not apply a promised second coat of rubber in one area. Furthermore, the owners of Refined Home Services, Gino and Karen, were rude, dismissive, and dishonest when confronted with the facts. They denied that there was any debris mismanagement or damage, despite the photo proof included here. While the company replaced the broken shingles and finally cleaned up the initial mess, they refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused and left us in the uncomfortable situation they created with our neighbors. In short, Refined Roofing lacks quality of service, integrity, and decency. This company is not worth hiring ... ever.

After having hired him for extensive work, I believe that Gino Spero runs a racket business that…read morebilks homeowners by lying about labor done and materials used. He gives you a relatively high estimate (supposedly because of quality) and then farms out the labor to a cheaper third party subcontractor for whom he does inadequate quality assurance nor does he supervise. He lies on the contract and becomes borderline unreachable once the work is finished and inevitably deteriorates as the seasons change. We hired him to build a roof which he did not weatherproof--or likely did not inform his subcontractors to--and then denied any wrongdoing once the roof started to collapse. There are open holes on the roof not even supported by plywood and he afterward tried to claim that the wrapping paper and felt used between wood and shingles was really a water shield as stated in his contract, which of course is a categorical lie. When confronted with the photos he lied again and stated that the "Grace ice and water shield" had really been used. It was not. The damage caused by this is extremely expensive and time consuming to address. The entire roof is covered with cheap paper. The leaks are extensive and directly above the HVAC system and electrical equipment. In addition to that the shingles are hastily glued on and too few were used overall which of course can only lead to more water penetration. They ended up tossing a good number of shingles that we had bought from them. The deck was full of holes, and the roof corners not even taped or covered with plywood. He tried to blame all leaks on parts of the roof he did not work on but this is easily disproven by an objective outside party. Even more fatally, the decks were not built with any slope or incline, so they collect water like rice cookers. He of course did not offer to fix or reimburse for the necessary work to fix it and is onto his next scam. We tried calling him countless times to fix the damage but he never showed up. You can get away with a lot of borderline fraudulent behavior in the contracting world and he is an embarrassment to other roofers and honest people in this business.

Most businesses would say we need to send a crew to your house, but not B&R. Sharon and Keith could not have been more patient with me. He came out to give us a quote and returned a couple more times to answer additional questions, show off the product, and make sure we were fully educated. He also was very frank about addressing competitor products, and was knowledgable about their product lines as well. When it came down to money, Lou was flexible and willing to negotiate, and we're very happy with the final price we agreed to. Their crew was just 2 guys (one of whom was a co-owner of the Morgan Exteriors) doing 20 windows and it took them 5 hours. Blown away by their speed and efficiency. They were clean, respectful (I work from home so was around while they completed the project), and the end result is incredible. Very happy with our new Okna windows and look forward to a warmer winter this year!

He came over with samples, made suggestions and we said Yes! We had new blinds and cornish done for our first floor and just Wow! What a total upgrade. Sure they are expensive but the finish on the cornish and blinds are outstanding! We also had him add room darkening shades in our bedroom and man, thdd ex quality of sleep is noticeable. We have six really big wide 6 foot windows and added the top cornish plus two 3 foot wide normal windows and the entire job came in close to $5 grand. But the finished product added at least twice that to the value of our home. I usually don't spend anything like this but bayside blinds added such a great look to our home. Dave was pretty chill and such a nice guy and would not take final payment until the job was 100% completed. Can't recommend him enough.

I wanted to install automated Hunter Douglas shades in our living room after having the manual shades in our sunroom office for nearly a decade (provided by another business). I knew exactly what we wanted after researching this item for several weeks, but i still had a bunch of questions for, Bob, the owner. Every question i asked he had a insightful, measured answer that made complete sense, he knew the product inside out. I made calls to six vendors in the Seabrook/Hampton NH area to solicit quotes for the window treatments. Bob was the first person i called and from the start i could tell The Blind Gallery of New England was going to be the "one". Other vendors came close to Bob's pricing but it was the level of knowledge and his friendly nature that convinced me. We arranged a time to meet, Bob texted on the ride over to tell me he was running 14 minutes late! giving me an exact ETA (wouldnt it be nice if every vendor did this!). He measured up the windows and we chatted about the install, the product and next steps. Fast forward two weeks and the window treatments are ready. We again arranged a time, an exact ETA was sent and Bob arrived on time and installed the window treatments (on a Saturday no less, this man is committed) while i watched the English premier league matches. Bob set the blinds up in my smart phone app and walked me through the pebble remote and its operation. The product is amazing, automated blinds are a luxury, i get it, but they are so nice and finish off the room exactly how i wanted it. Bob was an absolute delight from beginning to end so much so that we are now talking to Bob and his team about installing additional automated Hunter Douglas products in our dining room and bathrooms. I recommend Bob and The Blind Gallery of New England without any hesitation, 5 Stars across the board!
