From the very beginning, we could tell how much she genuinely cares about the children in her care. She has done an amazing job caring for our son. He comes home happy, excited, and even singing songs in Chinese! We are not a Chinese-speaking household, so it has been wonderful to see how much he is learning every day. They don't pressure children to learn before they're ready, but instead naturally incorporate learning into play. -Great communication with parents. The teachers regularly communicate with us about our child's development, behaviors, and anything they think we should be aware of. As first-time parents without family support nearby, we have really appreciated their advice and guidance. There were many times when we weren't sure how to handle a situation, and their support gave us confidence and made us feel like we weren't alone. ---One experience in particular really touched me. When my son was close to one year old, his doctor felt that his gross motor development was a little behind and referred him to a pediatric physical therapist. The therapist recommended some exercises we could do at home, so we didn't specifically ask the daycare teachers to help. However, the teachers knew that we had seen the doctor and they proactively asked about the doctor's and therapist's recommendations. They told us they wanted to understand more so they could better support our child--and so they would also know how to respond if another child ever experienced something similar in the future.
