Mixed drinks were never more than $5.50, beers were ice-cold, and the bartender was an absolute pro at keeping them coming. If we didn't have more places to check out, we might have just stayed put all afternoon. Of course, we came back later that night and grabbed a table. 80s music was blasting from the jukebox, the drinks were still flowing, and the crowd was lively. It's got that small-town Cheers feel--locals walk in, and their drinks are ready before they even say a word. But even as newcomers, we felt totally at home, swapping stories and laughing with the regulars. I have to admit atmosphere was respectful and bartender seemed amused we were brave enough to even be there.
