Once, we tried another kennel, and when we picked up our dog he seemed really depressed. Not so with Spring Creek Kennels - our dogs jump out of the car when we get there, and head to the back without so much as saying goodbye - and that's great, we just want them to be happy. Yes they are happy to be picked up later, but in an excited, not depressed, way. So, in my opinion and my dogs', this is a great place to kennel your dogs when you need to.

My dog is an incredibly fear, aggressive reactive dog. He was in the shelter for 8 months and is a…read morehigh energy high worker. Because of this, he unfortunately has a bite history. I have always been hesitant to work with a facility because of the innate danger that not understanding dog language entails. Citrine has always been fearful of men and lives in a household where mainly women are. He has gone through many different types of training and some worked and some didn't. But then I called with canine fitness and fun center and they have this wonderful trainer by the name of Devin. He worked really hard with Citrine (my dog) over the course of three visits to get my dog to trust him. Upon this third round we were invited to do a private swim with Devin. Even though citrine hadn't seen him for a week, citrine immediately recognized him and went to greet him. Devin truly understands dogs and wants them to be the best version of themselves. Citrine immediately jumped in the pool with him and Devin was able to handle him, give him pets, and continue on entertaining him for the full 45 minutes. I am so proud of how far my dog has come with working with Devin. We are hoping that we can start an agility training with Devin and continue on working my workhorse of a dog. I had brought my sweet girl Nessie here for many years when she had joint issues or if ever there…read morewas a problem and I couldn't get her to her regular vet. She graduated some PT training with them, gave me much anxiety when her legs would hurt her, and they were always the very best at sending her home with me happy and healthy. Sadly, the last time I brought her here, it was too late to save her. Nessie was a Bernese Mountain Dog and she had hemangiosarcoma which was undiagnosed. Her symptoms the morning of her passing was primarliy lethargy, not wanting food, and pale gums. Within moments of me realizing she wasn't doing well, I got her into the car and sped to the hospital. As we were driving her symptoms got worse and I called ahead to ask for immediate help. The team was out front when we arrived and we got her onto a gurnee. I wiped out one of her eye boogers and told her I'd be right there to take care of her. Nessie sadly didn't make it to surgery. Her heart gave out before we could help her. But I know she got the best way to leave this earth as she was barely in pain and she wouldn't have liked the cancer treatment we were planning for her. The team did a really good job helping me through the hardest thing I've ever been through. My one regret is I wish I had woken earlier that day and tried to get her help faster. But sometimes things don't go the way we want. I hope if you're in need of urgent care, you can get your pup here swiftly and allow the team to do their very best. It's a hard job these Vets and the team have, taking care of our sweet angels. I've put off on writing this review as even though it's been three months, still feels very fresh to not have my sweetheart by my side. Thank you team for all your help. She was the very best girl.

We had her there for about 2 days then got her because we were waiting on lab results and we knew we wanted her at home after a few days. Although it was a pricey visit. She was well taken care of. We still don't know why she didn't want to eat or anything not by the fault of the hospital or anything. Our dog is just a mystery. We had a follow up and liver enzymes had decreased which was a good sign. Our dog is still with us but not sure for how much longer since she is a senior dog who still refuses to eat her kidney food. But we are doing what we can but we are happy with the way our dog was treated here. Everyone was very nice and attentive and answered all of our questions.

Jayne assured me the puppy had been examined by her veterinarian and that I would receive documentation confirming German-bred, titled parents. 11 weeks later, I have received nothing. Although I noticed significant negative reviews before purchasing, I chose to give the breeder the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, purchasing from this breeder proved to be the worst decision I could have made for myself and my puppy's health. My experience confirmed many of those same concerns. When I brought the puppy home on 9/18/25, she already had persistent loose stools. That same evening, I emailed Jayne to report (four) very loose stools, request guidance, and share my veterinarian's instructions. My veterinarian of 30 years--at one of Golden's oldest and most reputable hospitals--examined her the next day and immediately found her underweight. An in-house fecal test confirmed Coccidia, and a second lab test identified Giardia. These infections required urgent, prolonged treatment; untreated, they could have been fatal. In over 30 years of owning German Shepherds from reputable breeders, I had never even heard of Coccidia, let alone experienced anything like this. Giardia required multiple rounds of medication, plus an antibiotic, to resolve. Despite my same-day email and immediate notification, Jayne did not respond, offer guidance, acknowledge the health issues, provide assistance or even the potential for reimbursement for the substantial medical and other expenses that followed. The failure to acknowledge serious pre-existing health issues, provide documentation, or respond responsibly was disgusting to experience as a buyer who trusted this kennel. Her only subsequent contact was two brief emails asking, "How is [Puppy's Name] doing - verbatim" Concerned for the puppy's health and deeply frustrated by the atrocious lack of support, I did not respond. Over nearly two months, I administered multiple rounds of medication, purchased 1,000 exam gloves, sanitized all surfaces daily to prevent reinfection, discarded contaminated supplies and infected toys. In my experience, no breeder I have dealt with in 30+ years has required anything like this level of effort to restore a puppy's health. The lack of transparency, unfulfilled promises of documentation, and failure to address serious pre-existing health issues raise serious concerns about this kennel's breeding and veterinary practices. Assurances regarding health checks, responsible care, and proper paperwork were not reliable. This experience has been emotionally exhausting, financially burdensome, and entirely avoidable. Puppies deserve responsible breeders who prioritize their health, and buyers deserve honesty, professionalism, and support--none of which I received here.

The dogs are really cute but when you're making a life changing purchase like a puppy, it's impossible to work with a breeder who doesn't respond to any form of communication. The handlers were incredibly thoughtful when introducing us to our new pet. They also include several vaccinations, surgery, and a microchip in the adoption fees. They send you home with a list of vets that give you your first check up free (though keep in mind we still needed to add some services such as heart worm). I love Denver Animal shelter and appreciate everything they do!

They took care of the cremation and when it was time to pick up my dogs ashes, I was blown away with the kindness from the staff, and the professional way they presented my dogs ashes. I was expecting the ashes to be bagged, and possibly in a box, so I was very surprised her ashes were in a wooden box with her name engraved on it. This is where I will always try and bring my pets for any needs.
