    Best friend forever!

We are so happy with every aspect of our little girl. Jayne was so helpful and welcoming with the whole process. The entire facility is absolutely top notch and we feel great that our puppy was loved from before she was born. So glad that we found a place that treats dogs so well.

This place lies and makes up stories.. I have found a real trainer that does not need to dominate a dog in order to train them. This place likes to use shock collars and choke collars .. this place is still training dogs like pilgrims and that is just not how things need to be done in 2018.. for them to make a new post just goes to show how deceptive they can be... they really thought I would never look back on these .. --Update -- this place is insane to make up a story that I got rid of my dog. She is an out right liar , boss is 7 and a half years old and he is family. I have had dog healthy insurance on him so that he stays with me as long as physically possible.. these people are disgusting to even make up that bullshit story. They offered me free lessons to make up for there mistakes I took one lesson did not care for the guy so me and boss went over to Canine college in centennial and they helped train me and boss to have better communication by positive reenforcement ..

We got our 10 month old gsd at 8 weeks from RMGS and she is the best dog we could ask for. She is definitely an alpha as we're both her parents. But we socialized her lots and she is great with other dogs and LOVES kids. She is loyal, protective, and a wonderful guard dog even at such a young age. Definitely needs lots of exercise which goes for all German shepherds but she loves to work and hang out with her people. We don't have a fenced in yard and I was nervous about this but even at 10 months old she knows her boundaries and doesn't leave the yard unless we're with her.

Absolutely adorable top of the line German shepherds at this establishment!

I am actually surprised from all these bad reviews. Seriously one of the most cleanest and professional establishments to train and breed German shepherds. We coordinated with Jayne through email (preferred way to contact them) to meet at a certain time and when we arrived she greeted us at the front door. She toured us around to meet all the females and studs. All the dogs have amazing temperaments and none of them bark when they see you approach them. Jayne has 30 years of experience in training and selecting top notch German shepherd imports from Poland, Germany and Czech. All dogs she will tell you are bred to protect you but are extremely social and perfect for families. The establishment is in Conifer, CO and is wide open for the dogs to play. Really clean and doesn't smell like a kennel at all! She has all her dogs organized and keeps the females and puppies separate from the males so they can nurse them in a good environment. She has a play room where you can play with the puppies! You might think they are expensive but from my experience with German shepherds you will get what you pay for. If you want a dog for training, service, or even just for the family this is the perfect place to purchase a puppy.

We can't say enough good things. We just brought home our little guy Finn a few days ago and he is the most adorable puppy we have ever seen, not to mention he is the most well behaved and social puppy we have ever had too. I'm so thankful RMGS paired us with little Finn, we are so excited for the years to come!

Great experience! Jayne and staff were great to work with! On our first visit, Sam gave us a complete tour of the facility. Took us around to meet the sires and dams. Both Sam and Jayne inquired into our home environment, activity level, other pets and made recommendations as to what we should be looking for. Jayne took the time to explain German working lines vs. American lines. Once we placed a deposit, she let us spend a ton of time on multiple visits getting to know the puppies prior to selection. We have had our pup for four weeks now, every day this high drive puppy gains more and more energy and size. Today at his last parvo booster he got a clean bill of health and weighed over 16 lbs. While walking our pup, our neighbors struck up a conversation. We found their daughter had also gotten their Shepherd from Jayne and the puppy had later gone through Jayne's thirty day board and train program. As the occasional caretakers of the dog, my neighbors gushed at the positive transformation their daughter's dog had coming back from training. They said they were very impressed, they plan on enrolling the dog again when they go on their next vacation. In our puppy's first puppy socialization class the instructors complimented his temperament. So far we have been thrilled with our experience with Rocky Mountain German Shepherds. We will be boarding our pup with Jayne in December, and possibly have her do some training with him. I will update my review to include that in January.

    Our handsome boy!

We were in AWE when we visited Rocky Mountain German Shepherds. The ranch style kennel is very clean and spacious. The dogs are so well taken care of and happy. We got our puppy Odin, over a year ago and we couldn't be happier with our German shepherds personality and health!

You need to know the truth. I have never seen anything Iike this before. Upon arrival I was extremely impressed on how clean everything was onsite. I couldn't believe it. No matter which enclosed area I visited and no matter how many shepherds were in the enclosed area they were all clean. I mean SUPER clean. No poop piles or weird smells anywhere. I was very impressed on the high standards this breeder had for her dogs. Just AMAZING!! Now it was time to look at the puppies. There was an amazing nursery area to view all the puppies. All the available puppies ran around as I was able to observe them play and interact with them in a family room setting. It was a very stress free; relaxing atmosphere so I could focus on what was most important. Selecting our puppy. Jayne was very knowledgeable and sincere in answering ALL of our questions. There is NO DOUBUT she does this for the LOVE OF THE BREED. Jayne, THANK YOU for all of your help!!! Most importantly we are so impressed with our little Princess Nala. (Malla/UFO) It has been over ten years since I have such a little puppy. We have had only two accidents in the house. She has adapted to her crate, (sleeping through out the night by her third night) and schedule with out any issue. I don't know its pure luck but she comes every time when called. (We have tested her by having her distracted with other and no matter what she is doing or where she is, she comes to me. I started getting in the habit of incorporating a little short training during play time not expecting her to listen because her age. The training was more for ME to get in the habit of making time to do very short training sessions with rewards for her many times throughout the day. All I have to say is WOW and THANK YOU. She is AMAZING! She is so intelligent. At 9 weeks of age she learned sit, down and come in a very short period. She has best personality ever. We are excited to continue working and playing with her and having her grow with our family. I believe you get back whatever you put into your dog and she is going to be absolutely perfect for us. We will be back for another pup. Jayne is an AMAZING Breeder. There is no doubt she is passionate about breeding German Shepherds. I WOULD RECOMMEND ROCKY MOUNTAIN GERMAN SHEPHERDS to anyone considering a German Shepherd.

    Lily and King

We got our 2 year old girl from RMGS at 8 weeks old and then we just got her little brother a few weeks ago at 11 weeks old. They are the very best of friends already. My girl has the sweetest temperament - she's always just known to be extra gentle with babies and toddlers, she greets all of the guests to our home with love, she protects the yard, and she's the best jogging buddy ever. In fact, she was even in our wedding. We just knew that she'd do well with her new best friend puppy brother. Since our girl is so gorgeous - the most beautiful coat, temperament and intelligence - we knew that we'd go back to RMGS or our 2nd dog. We sent Lily for the 5 week board and train to correct some of her behaviors and help her to be more confident. As a first time dog owner, raising my first puppy, I was learning as I went. Putting Lily into training was one of the best and most responsible things that we could have done for our relationship. She no longer has selective recall, she's not reactive on leash, she stays in place for 30+ minutes, and she sees us more as leader because we learned so much in the post-training tutorial that we received. She's tested us since we got home and we've been tested with neighbor dogs coming into the yard and her actually being able to "leave it," or going running with her on leash and having a dog chase us but her not reacting at all. This investment was well worth it and it's only going to pay off more as our continued commitment to the post-training work at home will continue. I have referred several people to this breeder who are looking to get a new pup in the future. It's clean, Jayne is responsive and they spent many hours with me making sure that I knew how to train my dog moving forward and to be sure that I picked out the right puppy. We did have a small, unfortunate issue where the puppy that I was originally supposed to receive did not pan out, but Jayne helped me to make sure that I chose the right dog and we came to a very comfortable agreement that I feel good about. It turns out that the puppy we received in place of the original dog is the best possible match for our high-energy girl. He always has slept through the night from the very first day that he got home, and he just fits in so well with our pack that I can't imagine how we ever lived without him. I attribute that to the time Jayne spent getting to know my husband and I, plus our older girl. If you want the right dog for you, then talk to Jayne... but, make sure that you are responsible enough and will do the work / invest in training to earn the respect of this breed.

I got referrals from my prior dog sitter, searched yelp, Facebook and nv pet websites for dog sitters in my area. She is super sweet with the dogs. I showed her around, we went over her rates and she provided some paperwork for the dogs needs and wants. She lives in mountains edge area so she does not charge mileage rates if you live near there and rhodes ranch is included.. Yippee! We went to our out of town trip and she provided photos each day. Fun stuff too! She took the dogs on walks and made sure they were fed and taken care of. She even caught my lab jumping in the pool to cool off after a walk. It was hilarious! When we got home our mail was collected and everything was in place. She left a log chart of the time she got in and left and what was done that day. It also showed if they were eating good, etc. She text me the night we got home to make sure the dogs were doing good. They were doing great, they were pooped! I definitely plan on using Mary again in the near future. Great service and in the Southwest!

We texted to check in on them everyday and were told they were great. When we picked them up today though, it was clear they have been having diarrhea, with Rosco having lots of poo matted in his fur. They never let us know they were showing signs of illness, even with our daily check ins. They said nothing at pick up. Additionally, when picking up they informed me I could not go into the cat room to get them but had to wait and have them do it due to "the room being under construction" - that was a first but okay. They come out with my cats in their carrier and a bag with two of my cats toys and another animals medication, handing it to me saying this was theirs. I notified them it wasn't and instructed them we were missing a bag of many toys, a wand, blankets, etc. and their medication and treats. She came back with just the medication, told me I was good to go. Again asked about the bag of toys and blankets. Went back and brought just the bag of toys, said I was good to go. This went on for a total of 5-6 trips to bring us the rest of our stuff. She ended up still missing some wipes and our food scoop, but we didn't realize till we got home. The blanket we left in Rosco's crate also was in the laundry for some reason, they have never washed their bedding before which also tells me he must have had diarrhea bad enough to have to clean his bedding. We are very unsure if another animal's medication was administered to our cats based on this interaction, the diarrhea, and them acting very oddly since being home. Keanu keeps waking up in a panic from his naps like he is having bad dreams. It genuinely seems like they were not taken well care of while there. We are afraid they were administered medication that wasn't theirs and they could be sick from it. And they seem skittish and afraid. I do not know what the people at Tails Up did to them this time for them to react this way. They have been boarded for more than 10 days each time, and never come home like this. I texted their number right when we noticed they had diarrhea caked in their fur to ask if they had been sick, why we hadn't been notified if they had, and whether they had been administered another animals medication -- no response over 12 hours later. I have sent an email as well tonight, no response. Never received a "report card" either, even though their app notified me one should be available, which seems even more suspicious -- we have always received it right after check out. TLDR; I can no longer recommend this facility. They seemed to have misled me when checking in on their well being and his that they were having bad diarrhea, were completely disorganized on pick up (which is a first), lost several of our items, tried to give me another animals medication instead of their own to take home, and may have administered another animals medication to my cats. I cannot trust them to care for my cats and be conscious of their safety while boarding there, and my cats are acting traumatized now that they are home. Spend your money somewhere that you pets will be safe.
