After doing several tours at different daycare facilities, we found Little Creek to be the best fit. The facility is open, clean and organized. The entire staff is friendly and very easy to talk to. They are attentive to our child and provide us with daily updates. Verna, the director, is always available via call or text whenever we need to reach out. Our son receives daily one-on-one therapy sessions from Early Intervention and ABA. The staff has been amazing and very accommodating to our child's schedule. Even his therapists have noticed the positive changes in our son since attending Little Creek Academy. I highly recommend Little Creek Academy for your child if you are currently seeking a daycare facility!

He was four years old when he started, so preparation for kindergarten and socialization with other preschoolers was key. I have seen him gain so much self condidence and independence. He runs in his classroom each day eager to meet his friends. It is so cute to see. At the end of the day, he is never ready to leave. He's having so much fun. This is our last month at Shrewsbury Children's Center and I will miss the all teachers and staff. I feel my child has had a wonderful learning experience at this school and would highly recommend it for children of any age. He is ready and excited to be starting Kindergarten in the fall.

Our infant care programs provide a safe and nurturing environment for your infant while you are at work. The staff provides care based on your child's individual needs, temperament, and schedule. Shrewsbury Children's Center (SCC) is a family-owned and operated center offering a variety of early learning programs. The business was established in 1982 as a preschool program, but soon expanded to include full day care for preschoolers and toddlers. To ensure that your questions or concerns are immediately addressed, the owners are on location every day. During your child's time with us, the staff observes the classroom and deals with any issues that arise. One of our center's most notable milestones was in 1997, when we were named the leading agency for new community partnership for children's programs by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Our new title led to new responsibilities, including administering funds to improve quality and affordable child care and education programs in collaboration.

At Goddard School in Northborough, they have a patient, positive and encouraging approach to the children. The entire school works as a team, a well structured unit, if you will. It's very refreshing to see! I have peace of mind knowing my child is safe and well cared. In the same token my child is actively learning and enriching his mind. My only wish is enrolling my child here sooner. Thank you Dipak, Beth, Ms. Sylvia, Ms. Katie and the rest of the team for shining bright with the children! You're all amazing and wonderful child educators! Our family is forever grateful.

I feel obligated to leave a review because their 5 star rating on yelp was one of the big factors…read morein us choosing this daycare. We had a really hard, frustrating and short lived experience with this school. My son (4) joined in June '21 because we'd moved too far from the daycare he'd been at since 18months. At first sight, the school seemed like a good fit. The owner, Dipak, gave us a tour and he seemed nice. We didn't meet the teacher prior to enrolling because I'd heard such amazing things about other Goddard locations. The problems started Day 1. I called to speak with the teacher reiterate that my son shouldn't take naps, and that he needs encouragement with the potty. His teacher was incredibly rude to me. Told me that all the children nap, basically tough luck. We communicated this with the director, Beth, (who as an aside, Is a super sweet caring lady we really liked, if only everyone else there was like that), and we worked out that we would send in a little bag of toys every day to have my son play with during nap time. We don't think it worked, he was never tired at the end of the day, and more than once he told us his teacher told him not to tell us he slept. (Who knows what's true with a 4 year old but when he wouldn't even fall asleep during a car ride at 9 pm, we felt pretty confident he was napping.) Next was the TV- we asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he excitedly told us "when we watched the episode of Peep and the Big Wide World." I was shocked, I'd never heard of a school playing show for the kid. I was told it's just during transition times and said it was fine but obviously a surprise and not our preference. Then a few weeks later my son started telling us "How come you don't let me watch shows at school?" Or "Miss Ornela lets the other kids watch shows but not me." He started regressing in potty training and still to this day tells us about how mean the teachers were when he had accidents. At a pick up, my partner asked if he had an accident and in front of our son, his teacher very harshly and abruptly said "it's not an accident, this kid simply isn't potty trained." He came home one time in tears so hungry, telling me that the teacher wouldn't let him eat his snacks (he still had snacks in his lunchbox). I personally saw how the staff spoke to the children at pick up and got a weird vibe. Lots of harsh commands, short tempers, something was off. And we tried to communicate all or most of these issues with management. Beth certainly tried her best to help, but the owner never did. And nothing every changed. He only lasted the summer here before we moved him to a Montessori school in the next town. Just 2.5 weeks in, he's falling asleep at 7:30, loving going to school, has had no accidents at school, is eager to go every morning, and even had some good speech progression (his new teacher helped him finally say Fs). The saddest part for us is he keeps telling us how awesome it is that "the teachers at the new school are actually nice."

One of the things that had initially drawn us to FCS (and what I believe makes them so special) is its amazing nature-based curriculum. We had sought out opportunities for education outside of the "traditional" classroom setting and FCS is exactly what we hoped it would be. The opportunities for children to learn through exploration, outdoor experiences, and have meaningful connections with nature, create a rich and engaging educational environment that is truly unique. After spending this past year amongst this community, it became apparent that we absolutely made the right decision for our daughter. The unwavering support, love, and kindness shown by the learning coaches and staff is something I imagine would be hard to find elsewhere. Every member of the community is deeply invested in the well-being and success of each child. They meet students where they are, recognizing and celebrating their individual strengths while providing thoughtful guidance and encouragement in areas where they need support. They also work continuously to foster relationships among the community (cross classroom learning, "Friendship Fridays", etc.); to help each child grow not only as learners, but also as compassionate and capable individuals. Our daughter has absolutely thrived at FCS this past year, both academically and socially. Her confidence, resilience and curiosity has flourished and that was in no small part to her being surrounded by people who truly care about her growth and happiness. We are endlessly grateful for this remarkable community and cannot recommend the Fitzgerald Community School enough, to any family seeking an educational environment where children are genuinely supported, challenged, and celebrated, each and every day. We look forward to many years ahead at FCS.

If you are looking for a nature-based, whole brain / body learning experience for your child, I…read morehighly recommend Fitz! My husband and I were looking for a nature-based preschool for our son in Central Mass. A friend recommended Fitz and we fell in love with the program. The school has before care, after care, summer camp and holiday programs. It's our one-stop support system since we came from out of state. The property backs up to a nature reserve, and the kids spend hours outside learning and playing. The class ratios are small, and the different age levels interact with one another. My son loves having an older reading buddy and playing with older and younger kids. I love that my child is getting fresh air, sunshine, and learning through play. One of my favorite parts of the school is the support we got as parents. The owner of the school is an experienced child education consultant. She regularly hosts parenting classes and community events. My child is strong willed and stubborn, and the school taught me how to work with his personality so that everyone in our family is happy and harmonious. One of the core values of Fitz is preserving childhood. In this day and age of stress and sensory overload, I'm so glad there's a place my child can go where he gets to learn and just be a kid. Developing curiosity, relationships, and critical thinking are some of the positive traits we've watched our child develop at Fitz. The only "negative" I can think of is that once you experience this education model it's hard to go back. Once we learned that most of the public schools have 15 minutes outside per day, we re-enrolled for kindergarten. The school currently runs to grade 5. I'm so glad we found it.

Actually her class was done and she already packed to leave the front door. The room was completely empty. As long-term members, we were not interfering with her class or disobeying any regulations. Being yelled at in public for no reason was humiliating and unprofessional. This level of disrespect is not what I expect from YMCA staff, and it truly ruined our day.
