Yeah-- I often get nervous about it, so I avoid it all together most of the time. Well.. I went to Dena and immediately felt comfortable and like I had made a new friend. She did an excellent job with the whole process and I enjoyed her story, personality, and conversation. Not only that, but after a hard days work I walked in and she immediately offered me a drink. I had a local beer as I got my hair done! So a combination of a cool space, drink selection which is more than a lukewarm tea, great job with the service, and a fabulous woman orchestrating it all? Yeah. I am pleased. I recommend Dena. She is a gem!

Naomi Mathias was the hairdresser and was super kind and did a beautiful job on my hair. I showed her a couple pictures and she did the best to get it close to what I had envisioned. My only "complaint" is that after the appointment she charged me an extra $20 because more material was used due to my long hair--which is totally understandable, but I wish that was disclosed at the start or somewhere on Classpass. Not entirely her fault though since the Classpass platform is probably pretty limited in what extra information the service provider can include in the description. On the plus side, the salon was clean, Naomi was really accommodating, it was overall a wonderful experience.

I'm one of those don't EVER cut my hair and just color the grays kind of gals. I have had long hair since I was in elementary school and have refused bangs, highlights, and layers. It's a PAIN to style because it takes forver to style/blow dry. My hair is now curly as opposed to straight as a board as it was when I was younger. However, I had been thinking of cutting off 10 inches for locks for love (and since it's been a HOT summer!). I went in with the news and immediately Nicole was super excited, but cautiously optimistic. She knows I don't do "change" with my hair well. I am her most boring client! She wanted to be sure I was comfortable making such a drastic change. I confirmed my intent as I had been thinking about it for several months and our adventure began! That same day, three other lucky ladies were chopping off their hair for charitable wig donations. So it was definitely a team effort across the board and made it more fun! I brought 4-5 pictures ranging from super short to should length. We reviewed and discussed each one. Utimately, we went with an in between cut so it wouldn't be such a drastic change. Nicole's recomendation was spot on because it was a shocking change. I absolutely LOVE my new "short" hair (just above shoulder length). She also recomended a different hair wig company that gave children wigs for FREE (instead of charging them like Locks for Love). She knew exactly how to rubber band the hair for submission and took care of everything. I spent at least a week running my fingers through my hair in complete awe after it was done. It felt SO light! It was EASY to style (curly OR straight!!). I LOOKED and FELT young!! and NO TANGLES omg!! I didn't want to wash it for fear I would never be able to replicate how great it looked and felt. Ultimately, it's been so much easier to style and I can still wear it up when I workout (!!). Christy was so nice and accommodating in taking me in for a deep conditioning treatment. She suggested another treatment for my hair which lasts longer. She squeezed me in at such a short notice and was very welcoming to a newbie like me. I highly recommend her- for this service alone and hospitality I've experienced, I will definitely come back. It's the little things that makes customers want to come back and be regulars. She also recommended products, but wasn't pushy or feels like she's forcing you to buy it. I went in for a summer refresh color (all over balayage), which I had discussed ahead of time with my stylist. Once she started to blow-dry my hair, I wasn't sure I was totally pleased with it. The stylist got so upset that she truly practically whisked me out of her chair, fully wet hair and all, curtly stating I could get a re-do scheduled at the front desk, which I did. I went in the next morning and told her "I have gotten used to the new color and I like it! Can we just fix the face framing pieces, please?" She said maybe six words to me in the three hours I was there and she took it upon herself to fully dye my hair an entirely new color. (Not at ALL what I asked for.) I truly don't know must of anything about hair coloring, so while I was confused about the length of time, I trusted her. Once again--I kid you not--I left the salon with a fully wet head of hair and a glob of coloring or toner or whatever on my forehead, a dirty look from my stylist and that was that. Again, not a word from the stylist. I left feeling shocked, embarrassed, and confused. I contacted the salon and never heard back. My stylist is talented, but how anyone can treat a regular customer like that blows my mind. Maybe consider another salon, especially if you, like me, aren't fluent in all things hair.
