I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Little Bird Nest in Tucson. I brought in 50 garments -- 25 complete outfits (shirt and matching shorts), and most of them were brand new with tags. Instead of treating them as complete sets, they decided to only take the shorts and separate the outfits, even though they were clearly meant to be sold together. When I questioned it and asked for my items back, I was told they had already thrown everything into a bin mixed with other clothing. That is completely unacceptable. They should have waited for my approval before separating or mixing my items, especially since many were brand new. What's even more frustrating is that once you sign their agreement, it states that they get to keep your items regardless. So PLEASE -- make sure you carefully read what you are signing before leaving your clothing there. I would not have brought my items in had I fully understood that policy. Very disappointed with how this was handled. read more

I have sold vintage items in the past fir a fair price and the ownwe was friendly. Counter people only took three items including a vintage toy worth at least ten dollars. They paid me eight. And then exclaimed how i had "doused everything in bleach." I asked what was wrong with everything else, i could fix it later and they said patches on jeans were frayed, and didnt even mention why they didnt want a beautiful little chiffon dress with a petticoat. Meanwhile they were selling a pair of Toms with filthy worn insoles and dirty soles. Its not worth coming here, better off selling online or somewhere else. read more

The location is in the eclectic strip mall with lots of ethnic food and retail shops. The prices are reasonable, and what they have will change daily. If you are expecting or if you need to get rid of items, this is great place to try out. read more

I really want to like Little Bird more, but going there always feels like more of a chore than anything. The quality is always good prices are usually reasonable (considering they have to upsell to make a profit), but I've found customer service to be hit and miss. Sometimes the girls working are friendly, but oftentimes it seems like I'm somehow inconveniencing staff, whether I'm buying, trading, or just looking around. I only go a few times per year because it's a bit of a drive - I'd go more often if the place seemed more warm and welcoming. 9/10+ times I'd rather thrift in town or shop secondhand online through Marketplace or Mercari rather than bothering here, which is sad because the trade option is a perk (in theory), I'd much rather support a small business. Not to mention, parking is very limited and generally a pain. Not sure what could be done about that rather than moving or expanding more, but that's just another hassle I usually can't be othered with. read more

Been here a few times, and just as well as the other 1 star reviewers it's the treatment/customer service that's an absolute turn off. I don't like to complain but everytime I've been in I hope it will be a better experience, nothing has changed. First of all the manger or whatever she is, the one with short hair. Is rude and incredibly raciest...looked at me absolutely disgusted when I smiled at her. My top reason why I stopped coming in here. Two, prices are ridiculous for USED items. Might as well go to target or a Carters at that point. I just overall hate how I feel walking in here because I know how I'm being judged. Also trying to sell items is again absolutely not worth it, they low ball the heck out of you ESPECIALLY when it is that manger quoting you. I am deaf of 3 kids (7yrs old, 6 yrs old & 2yrs old) I am new to this store and i always went to many stores like thifts, goodwill, savers and others. I never had this problem until this store. This lady in the picture, i don't know her name but shes a manager/supervisor. She disrespectful and not being professional by communicate me as she aware that I am deaf. She kept talking when I told her that i am deaf and she still TALKING. then she gave me an attitude and finally write down on card and say "you need to controlling your kids around here or you can't be here". I did tried my best to controlling them, all I see is my kids didn't destroy anything but touched the toys because they are curious... I watching them and looking at clothes at same time until this lady came to us and talking with attitudes. No matter how many times my friend and I kept telling her that we are deaf she still talking! until my sister in law showed up and that lady talking to her too. she told her that she's deaf. that's how she started gave us attitude and wrote down on card like I told you. then i got mixed feeling about shop there so I typed on my phone said ""i can't control my kids my first son is adhd and my second is mild autism... and your approach is not professional because of your attitude so i'm gonna comment on review about this store how you treat us as a customer."" she got angry because I return the basket with clothes that I planned to shop but changed my mind after this happened. she went to my sister in law and grabbed the clothes that she plan to shop. she got confused and don't know whats going on. so yeah my sister in law is more patient than I am. because i am boiled how that lady approach is not an professional at all! i'm never return this and please don't go there if your kids are wild or unable to control their behavior because she literally told me to keep my kids quiet even tho she aware that my kids are adhd and mild autism and also she still talking too! she didn't even say anything nice. so never go this store ever again. read more

I love shopping at this store due to the reasonable prices on clothes and little items but I have had it with their trade policies. The staff is not very friendly and they are wayyyyy too picky on what they will even take from you for trade. They forget that they are a USED baby/child store NOT a new one! They will only take stuff from you if it looks brand new but then give you a fraction of what you actually paid for it back in trade. Makes me not even want to trade anything with them anymore its such a waste of my time and energy to get it to the store to either be denied or receive pennies for it. Everybody knows how fast babies grow out of their clothes. Our family is committed to shopping resale any chance we get and shopping here has clothed my granddaughter in fun, fabulous clothing since she was born 10 months ago! From jeans to onesies to jackets and leggings, this place has it all. And did we ever luck out when we were on the lookout for a replacement stroller when her stroller/car seat was lost at an airport. We found a very gently used Uppa Baby Cruz stroller that retails for over $450! It's the one my daughter wanted in the first place but was not in her budget. Getting it for half price was truly a find! Why shop retail when you can shop retail which is so much easier on your budget and on the planet? We went shopping at Little Bird Nesting and was impressed with the cleanliness of the items and reasonable prices, we decided to purchase what appeared to be in excellent condition, crib mobile. Got home and thought sanitizing it would make sense, since we are expecting a newborn. Slipped the sleeve cover off to discover it was completely broken and being held together by duct tape. There was a lot of hype about this store. Honestly I think the prices where pretty high for used items. I felt the prices were more closer to the brand new prices with a slight discount. The items with decent prices such as clothing were ok but there wasn't a decent selection. You may find one or two items that you loved or simply liked. The store did not flow very well. You couldn't really look at anything without someone bumping into you. I was there looking for specific items. One was a changing table pad and there was only one and it was priced at the same price as a new one from Amazon or Walmart. Another was a baby monitor and they only had one of those as well and I had to ask if they had any. It was decently priced but looked to be in rougher shape. I wouldn't even give a one star review My mother, sister and myself have been going here for a while now and normally we see the same people. However today we went in I fell over one of the boxes as I was going down which caused my mother to fall we both got hurt and the cashier ran over Didn't ask if we are OK just started to fix the racks and pick up the shattered plastic bin that I was in. Then another lady came over and again seemed more concerned about it there racks being misplaced due to the fall. My mother is older and has a lot of health issues. The lack of empathy the staff had on us being hurt was mind blowing I would definitely re think coming here again. Hope the owner has cameras and sees how her employees treat customers. read more

I don't plan to shop or trade/sell with this store ever again. There is one staff member in particular who is so unpleasant and actually showed clear annoyance with me during our interaction. Halfway through my experience I had decided I would not be coming back, so when she offered me trade on a couple big items I declined. Seriously I'd rather give them away than work with her! My advice would be to let this person go and do some staff training in customer service and general niceness. I am such a big fan of Little Bird Nesting Co. It is my favorite place to do a little trading and purchasing. Today I had some items that my little one has outgrown and traded those in. Then I purchased some nice new jeans for him, a cute hoodie and some new shoes. The used items that they take are in such great shape and reasonably priced. $4.50 for a pair of Levis jeans works great from my 18-month old. Shoes are rather spendy when you buy a new pair (even at Target) so finding a nice pair of gently worn sneakers for $7.50 is golden. This is also a place I love to buy baby shower gifts as they have new items that are absolutely darling. I love the one of a kind feel of the new items you are able to purchase. I LOVE this 2nd hand boutique. I find so many great brands AND a lot are still new with the tags on it. Let's face it we want to buy our children they newest & cutest, by they grow so fast they'll wear it 1-2xs and then it's too small. This place allows me to get cute name brands without spending an arm & leg! Also, I rack up so many points that I get discounts and store credits too! I got a training potty that was practically new for FREE after my $10 credit I earned. So worth shopping for our little ones there. read more

I don't usually come here to shop only sell.. I've been in about 5 times. Every time I go in I never get acknowledged, I can barely get eye contact or the slightest engagement from these people. I love this place. The clothes are nicely priced and the toys are always in good condition. The reason I am rating so poorly, is because of the owner. I have gone for a total of three times, and each time I am there, she always is very rude towards my family and I. Today, I bought a cute little wooden blue mailbox and the employee had noticed the tape (they had placed to keep it closed) had ruined the paint. Being courteous, she went to the owner and asked if she could give me a discount. The owner scoffed, told her everything is sold as is, that she just buys crap to sell crap and she's sorry but that's how it goes. It's not that I expected anything but that was SO rude!! I didn't expect this though, because I didn't ask for any discount anyways. Feeling bad, however, another employee at the register gave me 10% to encourage me to come back. I have to say, without that amazing staff she has, the owner would have nothing. read more

Overpriced and horrible customer service. It's so expensive for a resale place. Especially their cloth diapers. They give nothing in trade. It's awful. The atmosphere is just so cold too. I just felt wrong and in the way being there.... there are way better baby resale places that are inexpensive and have great customer service. I absolutely love this place and I bought almost everything for my second baby from here. Being a second time Mom I didn't feel like everything had to be name brand and new. Buying things at a discount and used was perfect because babies don't need stuff for that long and they really don't need that much stuff at all. the staff is always friendly and there is always plenty of merchandise to choose from. I haven't returned anything for money or store credit yet but when I do I will update my review. I was out and about looking for baby things with my mom and we decided to stop in and take a look around and see how it was. The store itself was cute, clean and organized and decently priced with a huge selection of items, however the staff was very unfriendly. There were three employees there when we went in and not one single person acknowledged our presence. When we got there they seemed busy so I thought nothing of it but we were quickly the only ones in there and were looking at some baby swings, cribs and such with them all three feet behind us and they couldn't be bothered to even ask if we had any questions or anything. If they hadn't been so busy being preoccupied with their gossip, I would have definitely bought something but it became awkward and uncomfortable, like we were intruding in the conversations so we just left. It's pretty sad because I was very excited about the store but I'd rather spend my money in a place that can be friendlier to their customers. read more
