Deviled eggs- not bad, but not great either
    Ashley P.

Went to this place last night and we were very underwhelmed. We started off with the deviled eggs which weren't terrible, but not delicious either. They did coke out really fast- even beat my drink by 10 minutes. I had one of the signature cocktails with lavender in it which was really good. My boyfriend had an Old Fashioned that was really good as well. My drink took about 20 minutes to get from the bar, but his came out quickly. Our server seemed really busy and I had to ask her eventually to put in our food order. There were several servers working and the place is tiny so I could only count 3 total tables that she had (all 2 tops). She was in the back of the restaurant a lot. She condescendingly thanked me for my patience when I asked if we could order our food- we had been there about 30 minutes at this point and we were very hungry. I ordered the scallops and my boyfriend ordered a filet, baked potato, and the lobster Mac and cheese. I was really looking forward to this. I lost track of how long it took us to get our food, but it was almost an hour. I understand fine dining takes time, but that's ridiculous. My scallop plate was supposed to have a pea purée aside a mushroom risotto. The peas were mixed in with my risotto with some mushrooms thrown on top. My risotto was green. Not at all like the other pictures I've seen. It has a red pepper sauce on top that I had to scrape off because it made the dish even worse. The scallops were seared on one side only without consistency. One was only seared halfway on one side. The steak tasted like it had no seasoning and the baked potato was runny on the inside. The lobster Mac was good but there were pieces of unmelted cheese in it that could have helped make it creamier. My second drink wasn't even purple and barely tasted like lavender. Our bill for the food and a few drinks was $250 before the tip. We would have gladly paid that for a delicious meal, but it was like a slap in the face after what we were served. The server even asked us if our food tasted ok after we got it to which I replied, "Not really," and she said ok and walked off. Two different managers asked if we were ok because I'm assuming we didn't look pleased and they didn't care to hear it either. Did I mention that our reservation was at 6:30 and we didn't leave until almost 9?! The seating in this place is too crowded as well. I felt like we were sitting with the people around us instead of finally getting a date night alone. Also, it will be nice to have an open restaurant when it cools down, but all it did was make it hot and let in sooooo many flies. We were swatting at them the whole meal. This review is to be constructive as I just wanted a nice place to eat here in town. I just moved back here and all we wanted was a nice date night after having recently having a baby. It's so disappointing that even for all that money, we still can't get a nice fine restaurant here.

Super nice place next to the Doubletree Downtown. Good drinks, friendly servers and great food. I was especially impressed that they had Whistle Pig and Liquor 43. Midland needed a non chain place and this is it.

Cowboy Ribeye, petite filet, lobster mac, twice baked potato, and Sour Flowers drink.

We set a reservation the day prior to our reservation and I was contacted the morning of to confirm I would be there. Upon sitting in my reserved table I waited 22 minutes before an employee spoke to me and finally brought water, despite how impatient we must have looked as we made eye contact with several employees that did not appear to be busy. We eventually were helped and just ordered the bread service as an appetizer, it was good. I also ordered the 'Sour Flowers' drink and was impressed. My wife had the petite filet and I had the cowboy ribeye. They were fantastic, arguably the best steak you can get in Midland. The lobster Mac was pretty good too, so we left full and unable to eat dessert. After receiving our check we also waited over 10 minutes for someone to take my card so we could leave. Overall, the food was amazing and worth it. The restaurant itself is very cramped and has too many tables in it - you are about 1 foot away from the tables beside you. Service and attentiveness needs improvement, but we weren't swayed away from going back.

Don't miss out on this new gem The atmosphere and food is incredible! Definitely order the bread service it is to die for!! The red fish was fantastic and the sea scallops were delicious! So glad there is another fabulous restaurant in town @little_bohemian_ws

Little Bohemian is my new favorite restaurant. Chef Edgar was once in charge of the food at La Cantera in San Antonio - which happens to be home to one of my favorite golf courses. No one comes here dressed like they were on the way to Hooters but saw the sign and got distracted. Ask for Danny as your server. Request Sara makes your drinks. You will be treated like royalty, intoxicated & satiated royalty. Do your heart a favor and order the Braised Lamb Shank.

Lychee Martini - Delicious! A little sweet but still very good.

What a cool place! Was loving every minute and when they opened up the side wall it added so much to the experience! The food and service was fabulous! Can't wait to come back!

The reason it missed the 5-star mark with me was our waitress was slow to do everything. Even with taking our drink order. Then our food order. The worst was waiting for my final bill. And then she forgot our takeout box for my youngest. I don't know why she didn't have a greater sense of responsiveness with our party of 3, but it was like this the entire duration of our meal on July 25, 2026. It was super frustrating! The other reason I knocked off a star off was because the towel dispenser was depleted in the lone restroom. I had to flag down an employee with drenched hands. THE PROS I called about 20 minutes ahead of time to reserve a table because I knew this brassiere was on the small side. The lady on the phone was courteous and professional. If you have a hot date, I highly recommend reservations particularly in the evening. This seems like that sort of place. When we arrived, I found free street parking a short walk away. We were promptly greeted and seated. To enter the restaurant, you must go inside the Frost Bank tower's lobby, but to exit there is a door just beyond the bar. This place has beautiful, eclectic decor. The bar area was somewhat rounded and has an easygoing, but classy feel to it. THE FOOD The ambiance is what made this a great mother/daughters brunch date. The food sets it apart from the majority of restaurants in this oil industry town. The have East Coast-sourced oysters on the menu! These are far superior to their West Coast counterparts. I would have opted for these for our app if it weren't for my minions, I mean children. Pigs in a Blanket ($15.00) - yet another appetizer my daughters pigged out on that I didn't get to try. And they said they weren't that hungry! Lies all lies. They looked divine with nicely cooked juicy sausage and everything seasoning on the pastries. Avo Toast ($11.50) - my newly-turned teen daughter and I both had our own. I opted for eggs over easy which were cooked nicely. She oddly chose scrambled eggs for her, but she ate pretty much all of it. Smashed Burger ($17) - my youngest had this and said it was excellent. Nice touch with an American flag planted into the top bun. For the umpteenth time she did not share a fry with me. It is what it is. Mocha latte ($5.00) - my youngest's birthday which I will be missing since she'll be visiting her father is coming up so this was a treat for her. I tried it. Quite good after being thoroughly stirred. 1988 Martini ($18) - pricey but oh so good. The olives stuffed with bleu cheese were not bad. I had to try it even though the thought of bleu cheese kind of turned me off. Lol. Will I return? Of course because I have faith it will be 5 stars next time. Look at the other raving reviews! It has a nice easy-going, small-town Texas feel to it which is hard to describe unless you've lived in a town like this like I have. The inside is typically nice and chill; an ideal environment to grab a cocktail or two and conversate with a date, coworker, group of friends, whatever. Out of all the bars I have been to in Midland, I think Buffalo Nickel has the best selection of whiskey especially. I am not a huge whiskey aficionado but I have heard from ones that this is the place to go. I am more of a tequila and beer guy and they have everything I want. The unique thing about this bar is that the back patio is smoke-friendly. I am guilty of wanting some nicotine after some drinks so this is a great place for me. They also sell cigars if that is your thing. Cheers!

I will say that I was pretty impressed with the food and especially the service but there were still some things that kept me from giving it a perfect score. First off, the service was impeccable. When I walked in, I was greeted right away and sat promptly. My customers that I was taking out arrived a bit later because I was early but I was still provided with water and not bothered. An additional customer came so we had to move tables and it was done promptly and professionally. We were helped without it being overwhelming. Great job! The food was good and well-prepared. I ordered the roasted salmon and it was cooked very well with a crispy skin, the asparagus and brussel sprouts were salted well and cooked just right, the only complaint on the taste is that I wish there was a bit more jalapeño sauce and that it was spicier. It had no kick to it at all. My main overall reason for taking a star off is that the prices are definitely too high compared to the offering. Was the salmon dish good? Yes. But was it $39 without tax and tip good? Not really. Overall, I recommend this place to impress a date or to take a customer where conversation can be had easily with a nice atmosphere.

Salmon was a triangle shape like you get from Sam's club freezer dept, mixed veggies were also from a freezer and slightly reheated. One of my veggies was actually still frozen on the inside! Mac n cheese was cold. Seriously it had not even been warmed up appropriately. How hard is that? Steaks were okay and probably your best option there but not worth the $27. Bartender did a great job of mixing drinks. Mixed drinks were all perfect. Cooler was "out" so no draft beer at all. Second server also talked down to us like we were trash. We were just about to leave and go somewhere else when we received our third server who was awesome. Kristian was her name and she knows how to serve!! Great attitude, attentive, patient, talkative and friendly. So we stayed a few hours, DJ shows up around 9:00 and he did a great job with music selection. Dance floor is small but not crowded. No smoking in the main part of the bar so this is a nice place to go dancing and not end up smelling like cigarettes all night. I'd recommend this place for drinks and dancing but definitely not for dinner!! Also, ask for Kristian to be your server if possible so you get treated with respect.
