So the waterfall itself is beautiful! The hike there was interesting to say the least. I believe we got lost twice and that was with a map and directions downloaded from AllTrails. The trail is hard to find at the beginning. We parked across the street, but then we started hiking along the river. Instead, there is a trail that isn't well marked that goes up to the left. Then after a bit, the trail turns to the right and crosses the river and we completely missed it because it seems like the trail keeps going straight. There are two different river crossings and it's almost impossible to avoid getting your feet wet, so be prepared for that (I wouldn't recommend doing the hike when it's cold). We did the hike in the fall, so it's possible that the leaves on the ground made the trail hard to follow. The hike itself is really nice if you figure out where you're going. It's a fairly flat hike and the falls are really beautiful. If you're up for an adventure trying to find it, I'd recommend it!

Short little hike. Nice views. Not hard to find. Me and my dog thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful and short / sweet trail on my way to SC. Very beautiful and slightly difficult to find. Bring bathing suit.

There used to be a hydroelectric dam upstream that could control releases, but it was destroyed in Hurricane Helene. The future of the dam is uncertain. I appreciated the warm welcome we received when we arrived. We had booked online and signed all of our waivers before we got there. We reserved(rented) water shoes for several folks, as they did not have appropriate footwear. Check in, shoe selection, and safety briefing went quickly , and we were in our tubes in no time. The river was mainly calm stretches punctuated by intermittent small rapid areas. Nothing felt daunting or too dangerous. It had the right level of excitement for the kids to handle themselves. The take out was well marked. It was easy to get our tubes up to the van for the short ride back. We took the first time slot of the day, and were amazed by the crowded parking lot when we returned around noon. We look forward to returning.

We will be back. Green Rover Adventures is great! (Also, the water is so much warmer than at the Natahala) -- We are older but enjoyed hearing all the happy families in the parking lot as we left. This is an adventure for all ages, I believe.

Talk about a fun rafting experience!! My husband and I brought our 10 year old sons and my parents…read moreon the whitewater rafting adventure yesterday. It was mine and the kids first time. The class II and III rapids were the perfect size for us. It was slightly challenging in a few places but nothing terribly difficult. It was absolutely exhilarating! Our guide Eric was incredible! He was super knowledgeable and really seemed to know the river very well. We all felt really lucky to have him as a guide. After watching a few other color rafts/companies get stuck continuously, we knew we chose the right people for this adventure. 10/10 will definitely be back again. We had a 2pm start (1:30pm arrival) and were the only people registered so private ebike tour for us. TJ was our guide and he was training someone so we ended up with 2 guides, which was great. Both of them were very knowledgable about Asheville, nature (i learned what poison ivy looks like) and biking. It took me a few minutes to get my ebike bearings, but then were off. The first part of the ride was on gravel, which was a little tricky, but it was all good when we hit the road. It also started raining and we got pretty wet...i couldn't decide if the rain made the ride miserable or more fun. Maybe both! The biking itself wasn't too hard and honestly we probably could have done it on regular bikes and gotten a workout, but i do find ebiking super fun. We stopped a few times, which helped with our sore butts and learned about the area. A few hours later we said goodbye to our new friends and headed back to Asheville (about an hour away). They also offer many other activities like white water rafting so recommended if you're looking for a little adventure.
