I cannot express my gratitude enough for Avery and Juan at this place! Genuinely good people all around. I live in Texas and was about to make the 12 hour trip back when my son noticed what appeared to be an oil or transmission fluid leak. It was imperative that we get back because his graduation was early the next morning! In a panic, I called every place that was open at that hour and all were unable to help me until I reached Little Brothers. Avery was willing to take a look even though he was already covered in other work. Not only did he and Juan fix that leak problem, they figured out what was wrong with some other things (just got repaired after a wreck, and things were missed). Auto Breakdown, Dead Radiator and Exceptional Service Dead of winter , 30° temperature, major car issues 1 mile from the hotel, and You are an out of towner Who is vending at a major event. Look "brand name" auto repair was totally booked on the Friday before New Year's. They recommended little brothers, about 1/4 of a mile away. We limped into the shop, and the gentleman who assisted us could not have been nicer. We juggled like mad, made alternate plans, and one about our business. A couple of hours later, they called telling us exactly what the problem was and how much it would cost. I okayed the work, and it was finished before 5 o'clock! This was a major repair - the replacement of my radiator and fan, along with new hoses. They finished it to my immense gratification and satisfaction, and my vehicle runs like new. . read more

I'm quite disappointed. I dropped my vehicle off with them to get it assessed. I knew it was leaking Freon and wanted to get a quote to repair it. They kept it for a few hours and then I get a call letting me know that it had a leak (which I already knew) and he recommended to replace two refrigerant hoses (one had a leak and the other one was about to start leaking as well). He quoted me $1,300 to replace both hoses. Since it was a much higher number than I expected I decided to do some research. I ended up removing both hoses (a total of 4 bolts) ordering replacements (a total of $156) and I got a can of Freon. ($45) and I replaced it all myself. It took me a total of maybe 1.5 hours to do the removal and the installation. I am 41 years old and a single mother of 3, and I'm sure they probably thought that it would be a quick buck coming from a woman that probably doesn't know any better. I understand that work like this takes experience and skill, and I know that's sometimes undervalued, but $1300???? c'mon. Ah, and they also charged me over $200 to assess it. And trust me, it took me 10 seconds to find the actual location of the leak. I hated writing this review, but maybe it will help someone else when making the decision as to where to take your vehicle. read more

NEVER GO HERE!!!!!! I have a warranty with CarMax and brought it here for repair. They called and said everything was covered but that I should get my front brakes replaced for an extra $600. I politely declined. I came to pick up my car and the tire light was on, and sure enough, there was a nail in my tire. They offered to patch it for $50. I know for a fact that it was not there before I took my car in for repair, because I had the oil changed and the mechanics checked all my tires- none of them had leaks or were low on air. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE with your car, whether you have a warranty or not!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will do whatever they have to to ensure you need more service when they are done!!!!! UPDATE: after posting this, less than 10 hours after leaving the shop, my engine over heated and the coolent tank was COMPLETELY empty- which is what I had come in for in the first place. I will be talking to CarMax tomorrow about how they should never suggest their customers go here. read more

Had my car for over a month. Every call to enquire about the status was pushed off on someone else or no one was available. When no one was available the person answering the phone literally told us the mechanics all disappears stating "well it's Saturday, and mechanics do that sometimes, unfortunately." Anytime I was told someone would call me back, no one did. When the car was finally ready to be picked up, no one called like they'd said they would. Then they couldn't find the paperwork (which previously someone was always working on when we call) and they left the undercarriage cover in the trunk. All but four clips had been broken. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is that they seemed to be knowledgeable about the MaxCare program. If you use them get used to being on hold and listening to the same recorded interview over and over and over again. read more

Could these guys have been any better? On a trip from Savannah, with me driving solo, a wrench and engine light came on. Carmax hooked me up with Little Bros. They saw me at the earliest appointment, did a complete diagnostic test on it, determined the problem and that I could drive safely until I got home. They did not oversell and were so kind - especially Avery. The next morning, I returned, with more dashboard lights! My back tire was leaking. With great kindness, they immediately took me in, got the tire patched - again, didn't oversell - and got me back on the road to visit my kids. Will definitely be sending my grown-up kids there. Tonight, I stopped at an auto shop in Brentwood called Little Bros. Shell, Inc. to get my break light bulb replaced. I could have done this myself but didn't want to risk being pulled over on my way home from work. I've had this bulb replaced multiple times, it takes a few minutes to do and I usually only pay around $7. I figured that was the case everywhere but I guess I was wrong.. Apparently this little place charges a labor fee of $23.67 for a few minutes of work I could have done on my own, bringing the total to $35.24. When they handed me the total I was shocked and said something about it, to which I was given the response, "Well it's like when you're sick and have to pay to see the doctor" Good one I have a very hard time believing they charge everyone this amount to replace a tiny $4 bulb. I knew the bulb was out, I told them which one it was! It might seem stupid to be angry over $35 but I'm livid. I could get my oil changed for less than that but apparently changing a bulb is super hard, labor-intensive work for the mechanics over there, so I can't imagine how much they'd charge for an oil change. read more

After a hike at Radnor Lake on Sunday, October 13, 2019, my car wouldn't start and was towed to Little Bros. Shell because it is was within range of my AAA membership (under 5 miles). Avery Smith, the manager, was extremely professional, courteous and friendly and got to my car immediately (even on a Sunday when they had few employees working). Avery diagnosed the situation and replaced the battery. I really enjoyed talking with him and appreciated him as a person and one who knows cars. Ok, this will take a minute but there's a lot of information and I want to include all of it. My car battery died and couldn't be jumped, so I had to have it towed to the closest RepairPal shop that had immediate openings. I have a warranty though CarMax but their shop was booked for at least a week. Little Brothers checked it out and confirmed that it was just a bad battery, and nothing else was wrong. They charged $260 just to replace the battery, which was the first sign that something was off (that's like $100 too expensive for a new battery.) Then they told me that I was overdue for my 60k service and that I was going to void my warranty if I didn't get it taken care of NOW. They said it was going to cost, get this: TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. I told them not to touch anything except the battery and let me do a little research. The local Subaru dealership said the 60k tuneup costs $725. CarMax service center said $550. When I asked Little Brothers what they were planning to do that was going to cost so much more they said some nonsense about spark plugs and fluids. I asked the dealership how much spark plugs would cost- $400. CarMax? $149. Then Little Brothers told me I needed four new tires, which I knew to be false because I have eyes. I picked up my car and Avery, the main guy at Little Brothers, gave me some kind of weird speech about how the dealerships are gonna put all of the independent shops out of business, and I told him yeah that seems inevitable when the independent shops are charging double for the same service. I took my car into the CarMax shop a week later and they gave me the full 60k tuneup, new spark plugs, and they replaced my brakes for a grand total of...$750. Little Brothers is a rip off and they know it. Also, when I picked up my car no one was wearing a mask, not even the guy inside at the cash register. I will never be back and I'll tell everyone I know to avoid them. read more

Avery is amazing! Initially brought my car here through Carmax. My windshield wipers were not working, and since the part was on back order I was expecting to not have my car for a month. Avery called me within a week and had my car ready! He got it done way earlier than expected. Also, to my surprise he fixed an issue I was having with my tire, without me ever telling him about it! Five Stars because it's the only "Service Station" in Brentwood. They offer two self-service islands one one FULL SERVICE island. Their mechanics have two bays in which to service cars. Great for filling up on gas and using the mini mart, and the staff is very friendly, but they are way overpriced when it comes to servicing your vehicle. I got multiple quotes from changing a motor mount to replacing gaskets, and the costs for labor is just under $100 an hour. I believe I (and anyone reading this) can find more affordable and reliable mechanical work elsewhere. read more

Had very bad experience here. They told me they could plug my tire even though the nail was near the edge. Once they removed they tire, they determined they couldn't do it. They put the spare back on because they couldn't repair it and didn't have the tire I needed in stock. They then charged me for installing the spare which I could have / would have easily done myself. read more

Awful do not take your car here. Sure the people are super friendly and they seem to have good prices but you get what you pay for. I took my car for a simple oil change and because they use cheap parts and cut corners my car was leaking oil terribly and almost cause me to blow up my motor. Stay far away!! read more
