At first sight, it was an odd structure, appearing to be a residential home clad in vinyl. The outside was cluttered, poorly maintained with a lawn well over a foot in height. This should have been our cue to leave but we were meeting friends. Our foursome were shown to a small room with one table where we immediately noticed an unpleasant smell .. musty .. apparently the home beneath the vinyl was very old. We started with the house salad; a small serving of room temperature, oxidized, lettuce, shredded carrots and purple cabbage dressed in the only option, oil and salt. Two at the table took one bite and pushed it away. My wife and I had the lasagna, which she pronounced "gray" upon arrival. That could also describe it's flavor. I could go on but it all comes down to one thing .. they're cutting corners everywhere .. best exemplified by the garnish; a sliver each of tomato skin and bell pepper. The waitress who was very new and clearly had little training asked how things were and we had to be honest. This apparently, led to first the floor manager, and then the cook who may have also been the owner by the way he raised his voice at us, declaring "everyone raves about" his lasagne. I thought we were in a Monty Python sketch .. surprised he didn't come out waving a cleaver. We did not eat the entré and had them take it off the check but should have left when that pathetic salad arrived. Had we not been with another couple, we would have. The food was just awful yet took forever to arrive, the service was non-professional, the environment Webster would call "fusty". One of our companions requested a box for the half pizza he had not eaten and was told, "we're not allowed to use a box if there are only 4 slices". Math isn't my forte but isn't a half pizza is he same diameter as a whole one. If they're nit picking pizza boxes, I'd say they're just barely hanging on. In summary, not just a bad meal but a truly disturbing experience.
