Hot and ready more like slow and cold. Little Caesars used to have the reputation of being hot and ready a fast affordable breed of pizza. This is my second attempt trying to get pizza from this location. The first time I drove to the location walked in, tried to order two pepperoni pizzas and some crazy Italian bread. I was told that it was gonna take 25 minutes to receive that order so then I had left as I was looking for something quick and cheap and easy to pick up but was not gonna sit there and wait 25 minutes for the order my second attempt I was driving towards the location. I downloaded the app replaced my order arriving to the location over a half an hour later the order was still not ready. It was just going inside the oven at that point. I'm not sure they're busy because times are tough and people are looking for affordable pizza, but the idea of, hot and ready is no longer a thing at least at this location. Since it took so long to cook the pizza, the Italian bread was actually cold.

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! Pizza was so rubbery and dry. Not to mention I ordered ahead so it would be made fresh and it was absolutely terrible! You cannot get anyone on the phone. I've been on hold almost 45 min for the actual store even though the stupid call center takes the pizza orders but cannot help get you anyone directly! I will be going back to this store! Not happy....

Supposedly, a place where the pizza is "hot-n-ready" but never is. Neither cheese nor pepperoni were on hand, the most basic of flavors.

My husband had the special with beef tips and linguine. I chose the fettuccine carbonara. What I liked most is that they had a normal and a small portion. Trust me the small portion was plenty. I just had to try one of those desserts. The coconut cake with pineapple sauce was on point and I took a few biscotti's that Roberta the owner suggested would go perfect with my coffee in the morning, They have a full bar and a nice wine list. Jayden was our server and was so pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed that the acoustics allowed me to actually have a conversation. I think it's the water in NY that makes the pizza there so good. I found that even acceptable pizza in NY is head and shoulders better than the pizza here in Houston. But then I found Tony's on Louetta, by far, the best pizza in Texas. My search is over, and I'm now happy.

Now full transparency, my husband is a New Yorker, and by his standards it was average for NY pizza. But judging by my Houston palate I thought it was good. The calzone was my favorite. Adding the optional ricotta made all the difference. It took it from a 4 to a 7. The only downside was the pepperoni. I could literally count the slices and wished there were more. That said, the bread texture was wonderful, and that same great texture carried over to the garlic knots, which I really enjoyed. I think trying meatball, or a supreme (heavier on the meat) version would be fantastic. When I go back I'll that and be sure to update. We also tried the chicken parm sub. It was okay, though my husband thought it was subpar. Personally, I think the tomato sauce did a lot of the heavy lifting flavor-wise. Surprisingly, I really liked the cannoli filling, which says a lot because I usually don't care for cannolis. They often don't taste like much to me, but this one did. The inside of the place is very quaint and mom-and-pop, which I loved. Service was great. I ordered to go, was told 20-25 minutes, and the food was ready in about half that time. All in all, this is a solid pizza place for locals, and I'd absolutely come back to try more items on the menu. I want to try the original place and see if it's better. I mean, it should taste the same right? (Will update when I find this out).
