It's no secret that PA's craft beverage scene is positively booming more than any other state in the country. Situated on the former site of an antique store, Bullfrog Brewery has sat on West 4th Street for 30 years in the vibrant downtown and stands out with both its flagship pub and a dedicated production facility, where my partner, his family, our friends, and I decided on dinner yesterday. A reservation was made for a party of 10. Upon entering, some of us as first-timers were greeted by the staff in a historic building with its brick and brass features along the brewing vats looming in the bar and dining areas. The vibe was warm, relaxed, and full of character. It's the kind of place where one instantly feels at home with indoor and outdoor dining options. Their menu tends to be hearty and comforting cuisine consisting of familiar savors of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and wings as well as more unique flavors and options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan patrons. For starters, we ordered Fried Pierogi, Roasted Cauliflower, and Sesame Pepper Tuna. Our main meal consisted of a Fried Fish Sandwich, Garlic-Crusted Chicken, Veggie Mac & Cheese, and Frogobello Sandwich, to name a few. The food was cooked well, tasty, and came out in a very timely manner. The staff were friendly and welcoming, checking in at the right intervals and ensuring we had everything we needed. Our server was Michael. It's a well-deserved local institution that makes an indelible mark.

You'd take a bite and immediately guard the plate like a raccoon with trust issues. People reached? Hands slapped. Eye contact broken. Survival mode activated. Fast-forward to now. These wings walk out like they're already tired. First bite: meh Second bite: meh Third bite: meh meh meh meh meh Not bad. Not offensive. Just... present. Emotionally unavailable. The culinary equivalent of a shrug. The sauce used to yell. Now it politely clears its throat. The wings used to pop. Now they sigh. Nothing is wrong--and that's the problem. You keep eating, waiting for the old magic to show up like: "Okay... any second now..." But no. The seagulls never arrive. Just a quiet chorus of meh echoing with each chew. Are they terrible? No. Are they what they used to be? Absolutely not. This is wings that remember being great and now collect nostalgia instead of flavor. Final verdict: 3 stars. Rivals--bring back the seagulls.

Josh was very accommodating and helpful with planning and did an amazing job, from the room set up to service. Everything was on point. The food was wonderful. After receiving my bill of 180 dollars I unlocked my debit card and it was charged to my debit card like any other transaction and I locked my card. After 10 minutes of waiting for my card I looked at my phone and noticed the restaurant tried running my card approximately 8 more times. I called for the waitress and asked why are they trying to run my card numerous times that its locked and the waitress said that it didnt go through. I looked at the waitress and said it went through the first time and showed her my banking transactions. Well to make a long story short both my wife and I demanded my card back and after being told No we called the police pretty much at the same time the restaurant called as well. So now 4 cops show up we meet them in the parking lot do to my kids upset , daughter crying and tell them what is going on we show the officers my bank account which they agree with me that it did come out that its something on the restaurants side. So to try to shorten this up i ended up allowing the restaurant to charge my card again with the deal that if they both go through i will get my money back so today im checking my transaction and wouldn't u know they both are posted to my account so I go back to the restaurant to get my money back and asked for the manager and talked with her outside. Trust me when I tell u I got every excuse in the book how this wasn't there fault that every couple of months this happens to one of there patrons I looked at the manager and said why dont u fix the problem instead of putting people through this what if I didnt have the money to pay twice our the next person it happens to doesn't have the money. So just be cautious and careful using your debit cards there because now that this happened we are no longer allowed to eat therre for something that wasn't even our fault.
