It's simply an inviting atmosphere with very good food and reasonable prices. The wait staff cares about what they do and are good at it.

Good wing sauce. Friendly service. So-so vegetarian options, but I'm amazed they have any at all given that it's South Williamsport.

There were so many wonderful flavors: rose sugar in the opening snack, smoked mussels and saffron foam in the soup, homemade ricotta in the carrot pasta, spruce sorbet palette cleanser,, an incredible steak, rhubarb ice cream. Wow! Super unique. Service was friendly and professional. The dining room is small and the ceiling is a bit low, so the noise level is pretty high when the room is full. We were across from a table of 6 and one gentleman did not know how to use an inside voice, so we had to lean in to talk over this loud talker. But that's not the restaurant's fault. I think the price is really a bargain for what you will experience. Bring a nice bottle of wine and enjoy! We're already looking for reservations later this summer! Fantastic!

This is a fixed price, fixed menu, 5-course meal, with a surprise 6th appetizer, all with a "Fall" theme as we visited in September. This is a farm-to-table restaurant with many items coming from their garden. I wouldn't say the menu options were my favorite but the presentation was excellent. Everything was delicious, service was great and it was a beautiful evening with friends. We were there past 10 PM as the restaurant came to a close. I'm glad places like this exist outside of the typical urban setting - thank you!

It's no secret that PA's craft beverage scene is positively booming more than any other state in the country. Situated on the former site of an antique store, Bullfrog Brewery has sat on West 4th Street for 30 years in the vibrant downtown and stands out with both its flagship pub and a dedicated production facility, where my partner, his family, our friends, and I decided on dinner yesterday. A reservation was made for a party of 10. Upon entering, some of us as first-timers were greeted by the staff in a historic building with its brick and brass features along the brewing vats looming in the bar and dining areas. The vibe was warm, relaxed, and full of character. It's the kind of place where one instantly feels at home with indoor and outdoor dining options. Their menu tends to be hearty and comforting cuisine consisting of familiar savors of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and wings as well as more unique flavors and options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan patrons. For starters, we ordered Fried Pierogi, Roasted Cauliflower, and Sesame Pepper Tuna. Our main meal consisted of a Fried Fish Sandwich, Garlic-Crusted Chicken, Veggie Mac & Cheese, and Frogobello Sandwich, to name a few. The food was cooked well, tasty, and came out in a very timely manner. The staff were friendly and welcoming, checking in at the right intervals and ensuring we had everything we needed. Our server was Michael. It's a well-deserved local institution that makes an indelible mark.

My companion and I ended a late afternoon Williamsport visit/pub crawl at Riepstine's on a recent Friday. Fortunately for the other pubs, it was our last stop. Had it been our first stop I'm nearly certain we wouldn't have bothered going anywhere else. The pub was surprisingly quiet when we arrived at around 6 PM on a Friday but we instantly felt right at home. The bartender, Jessica, was super cool and friendly as well as being very beer knowledgeable. Knowledgeable, but not snooty or pretentious about. It was fantastic to have a beee conversation without feeling talked down to. I really don't like beer snobs and they seem to have multiplied like rabbits I enjoyed a flight of five selections and all were excellent. I'd had Riepstine's beers at local beer bars and enjoyed the opportunity to sample at the source. They brew a variety of styles to suit everyone from a middle-of-the-roader (me) to more sophisticated tastes. These folks clearly know what they're doing. Riepstine's is a bit outside "downtown" Williamsport and the exterior is unremarkable EXCEPT they have a nice outdoor area. The interior is simple, leaning toward a modern style, and really charming . My companion's first reaction was "Whoa! This is NICE" (and she has high standards). We didn't try the food but most definitely will be back to try what looked a tasty and accessible menu. I can't say enough about the service, as well as the incredibly friendly other folks at the bar. I can't wait to go back.

Despite being one of the few patrons in the restaurant, my order took quite some time to come out. Drinks were made instantly, but I finished two before my entree arrived. The bathroom was strangely the only sticky element of the establishment. *Ribeye: huge 18 ounce ribeye served with sweet potato fries and creamed corn. Although I asked for medium rare, the edges leaned closer to medium well. That said, the steak was thoroughly seasoned and tender throughout. The sweet potato fries were heavily seasoned with sea salt, though the potatoes themselves were sweet enough to balance it out. The creamed corn was the most pungent and watery component. I wished the sauce had been thickened more, as it pooled underneath the steak and softened the bottom crust. Overall, this dish was hefty and a steal for the price. *Frost Bite: one of the seasonal mixed drinks. The Malibu and pineapple juice gave this a pina colada style profile. The blue curacao added a striking snowy appearance, though the drink itself leaned quite sweet. *Jingle Juice: another seasonal option, though this one packed a stronger alcohol punch. The tequila was more prominent, while the peach schnapps helped soften the edge. However, the cranberry and orange juices were barely noticeable, so it did not quite deliver the spiked fruit punch profile I was expecting. I loved the generous portions and strong flavors. While the execution was not perfect, the large sizes and heavy pours still made this a jolly experience.
