Incredible state park in Utah…read more As part of our family trip to Utah's National Parks, we stayed at Utah State Parks since they had openings. It was a good choice. This is a nice state park with friendly staff and clean facilities. There are clean restrooms with showers and even a laundry room. Just be sure to bring quarters if you arrive after the visitor center closes. In addition, the park itself has some recreational activities available and is located on historic land with pictographs to find. Very good state park.

They high lighted the ones I could definitely do and I did!! I loved the paved little loop at the visitor center itself that is ADA approved. My favorite was probably the 100 Hands Cave. Just a neat little walk by the creek and a small hill to get to the sight. I forgot my binoculars, so if you go bring some with you! I went on the second weekend in May, so not quite the summer season yet, so it wasn't crowded at all and I spent a couple of hours there.

I come here at least twice a year during the summer months and I love how small the community is. Everyone knows each other. The lake itself is a substantial size covering about 1,300 acres. There are cabins on the lake and above in the surrounding hills. There's also a little market in town and just a few restaurants. Plan accordingly and bring what you need if you plan on staying for a few days. The location is also awesome because it's near one of my favorite hiking spots, Cedar Breaks and close to Zion & Bryce Canyon. The lake is surrounded by forest. It's so beautiful. Most folks visit to fish as you can find rainbow, cutthroat, brown, and brook trout. You can also canoe or kayak around the lake. ATV's are all around as that's how most people get around and there are hundreds of miles of trails to explore. It feels like you're very far from everything...

Came here with some family members to go Tubing. Pretty laid back company that was ran by younger…read morekids. They do a pretty good job with taking care of customers. They supply life jackets and a ride up river for $18 a head. Once in the river you float about an hour & half back to their base. This time of year the river is basically a shallow canal. They call it the Lazy River Float and that's what you get. Fun for younger members and relaxing for the rest. We had a good time and we had about 25 others that seemed to echo our experience too. Tubes & Life Jackets were in good condition. They have a raft trip that goes also. Zip line & endurance course too. You can rent UTV's too.

She was good to give us directions and she she even inflated a tube by mouth so my wife could have the tube she wanted. The trip was fun and it was very reasonable price. Next time we may do the whitewater rafting. If you are in central Utah and need an activity look up Big Rock Adventures. 10 out of 10 recommend

We didn't see any wildlife while passing through, but I've heard that you're bound to see golden eagles, antelopes, prairie dogs, wild turkeys, and even pronghorn sheep! We did a cool 3.7 mile loop down into the canyon & then back up again. I would rate it a moderate hike, doable even in sneakers. Although I would recommend hiking boots. Be sure to layer up - traversing down will heat you up a lil, hiking up will heat you up a lot, & the windy overlooks will cool you down immediately. The folks at the visitor center are incredibly helpful & the bathrooms are extraordinarily clean. Overall a wonderful park. I can't wait to return.

Iconic, iconic, iconic. Bryce is an interesting park because it isn't all that big in the grand…read morescheme of things, but the natural formations (the hoodoos) that make up the park are some of the most interesting things to see and learn about in all of the Utah parks in my opinion. One of the most popular trails to hike is the Navajo loop via Queen's garden, which is a loop of 4ish miles that passes a bunch of beautiful lookout points as well as the "peekaboo" formation. It's very, very beautiful and not too difficult in my opinion - but do note that the very beginning/end (depending on whether you do the hike clockwise vs. counter) is rather steep and thus more challenging. I did it clockwise and therefore ended doing "Wall Street" from the bottom going up - it's several switchbacks with a decently steep grade (think Walter's wiggles in Zion, except a little bit harder since the hike to get here is longer than Angel's landing to WW). If you get winded easily, plan for at least a few hours to do the whole loop since you will tire out. Overall, I strongly recommend this hike, it's a good challenge that is very beautiful!

I was recommended this hike by my Airbnb host. It's rather short, took me about 20 min total…read more Parking is limited but because it's short I got lucky and got a spot from someone leaving. There are a couple NP potties there (no running water). There wasn't much water the day I came, you could see a trickle of the waterfall but it wasn't particularly exciting. Depending on the time of year, that can change. Overall, I wouldn't have spent time doing this hike if I hadn't been passing by it (but I was, on my way to Capitol Reef). But if you are passing, it's a nice walk with a little hill :)

The drive is pretty boring. Straight, not a lot to see. But when you arrive, holy moly, it's amazing. First, WHY is this group of formations out here? There's nothing like it nearby? Fascinating! There is a dirt parking area and some of those wooden information signs that are hardly legible from the years of sun and sand. Such a delightful adventure to run and play among the hoodoos, arches, sand and rocks. It really did invoke a sense of wonder for me. It was worth every boring mile to get there and get back.
