From start (and I do mean start with scheduling giving accurate insurance information) to finish…read morethis was absolutely the best first dental experience we could have asked for! our 1.5 year old was just waking up and apprehensive but every single employee made it their mission to make him comfortable and happy! They really take the time to help them get comfortable with letting him brush a stuffed dragons teeth while cheering him on and answering all my questions to explaining how we'd get his cleaning down via teamwork between myself and the dentist to discussing tips on how to create positive dentist memories. I never felt rushed. I also appreciated the private room for little ones first time and an employee even came in just to hold my phone so he could see and hear his favorite songs to help him through the cleaning which honestly took just a few minutes for the whole thing and as soon as it was done they brought out a bubble blower that helped him quickly get over being upset about getting his teeth brushed. The bathroom was beautiful and clean as was the front waiting area which was colorful and had many activities for toddlers and older children and best of all giant vending machines that your child gets a special token to use after they are done- his adorable rubber duck from the machine quickly brought a smile to his face! The also take and provide you with a cute first visit dental photo printed out -it has a qr code to download the file- what more could you ask for!? The employees at the front desk also went above and beyond helping us check to see if another insurance would have better coverage and now we can add him to one of our other policies to get coverage at a much higher rate!

The patient (and parent care) is top notch. There was no judgement for anything, kind guidance and…read morewhat felt like collaboration between Dr. Pete and us. My son is 12 months and barely fussed during his teeth cleaning and the whole ordeal was over in under a minute. I have a clear game plan for my son's dental hygiene. And I especially want to give a kind shoutout to Lindsay, the patient care coordinator who graciously answered three of my phone calls in less than 10 minutes while I was frantically trying to coordinate my life with a young toddler. If you are looking for a pediatric Dentist that is clean, organized and makes children feel right at home, this might be the place for you

It's really rare to experience an office where all staff members are kind, helpful, and friendly, but that is this office. From the admin person to the front desk staff to the hygienists to the dentist herself, this is an office that truly cares for the kids and their families. All the staff are all positive and supportive. The office is very clean and conducive to kids, with tvs in the ceiling, toys in the waiting room, and kids decor throughout. There is a dry erase board where each kids name is written to welcome them, a very nice touch. Each kid gets a goody bag at the end and a token which can be used on the toy vending machines in the lobby. This is a HUGE hit with the kids! They usually get little jewelry trinkets or toys that they get excited about. One time the staff gave them balloons which was sweet. The dentist herself is very kind and gentle and thorough with the kids. She'll take time to answer questions and explain things. The same go for all the hygienists here. I always get a good vibe when coming to my kids dental appointment!

Just this month, she has decided to drop Metlife. This appears to be a pattern -- a pattern of dropping some of the more common insurance carriers. I do not know for how long it has been going on, but it causes chaos and unpredictability around a part of a young child's life that is already scary and confusing. This is arrogant and, and it sends a perhaps unintentional signal that her team possibly care only about the wealthiest members of the Arlington community who can afford to bear the burden of this unpredictability. It forces busy families to scramble to find a new dentist for their child -- and I fear it can cause harm to children who develop a bond of trust with one building and staff to be migrated to another. So, pray tell, how do Metlife families at your practice explain this to their 3 and 4 year olds? If you don't belong to an extremely high-earning two family household, Dr. Flanagan's practice is not for you. You cannot predict from one year to the next if you can afford for your child to be seen at this practice.

Updated Review - Hindsight Is 20/20: Buyer Beware…read more Looking back several years after completing treatment, I feel it's important to share my experience. My orthodontic results lasted only about 2-3 years after my braces were removed. After that, my teeth gradually shifted and gaps began to form, despite wearing my retainers exactly as instructed. When I returned to discuss the issue, I was disappointed that there were no meaningful solutions offered other than paying for additional treatment or purchasing new retainers. The retainers themselves were another frustration. I paid approximately $600 for each set, yet both broke much sooner than expected. When I contacted the office about a newly purchased retainer that appeared to be defective, I was told through the receptionist to see my local dentist instead. That response left me feeling dismissed, especially since the problem involved a retainer made by their office. Once my treatment was complete, I felt there was very little support when problems developed that were related to my orthodontic care. While the office staff was always willing to schedule appointments, my concerns ultimately weren't resolved, and I was left feeling that the only options presented involved spending more money. The office itself is attractive and offers plenty of extras, but I personally felt that those amenities were reflected in the overall cost of treatment rather than the long-term quality of care. In addition, parking is very limited and inconvenient, making appointments more difficult and expensive. Everyone's experience may be different, but mine was disappointing. I recommend researching your orthodontist carefully and considering not only the treatment process but also the level of long-term support you'll receive if problems arise after treatment. 2017 Initial Review: So excited I found VCO via google online. I had just moved and was in the middle of treatment for my existing braces, and she was one of very few who would take me in & continue my treatments. (Most orthodonists dont like to take on patients who already have braces) Her office is very clean, fun, eclectic and modern! Chrissy is wonderful, and she makes me feel comfortable to trust her with achieving my goals of a beautiful smile and straighter teeth. My monthly visits are quick and easy. They get me in and out. Chrissy always addresses my concerns, whether it's in person, email, or phone. Im excited to see my results in Nov - Dec timeframe!!.

Although I have much to say, Let me just summarize my experience briefly. My initial appointment was..... great. But I was blinded. I came in for a consultation and ended up getting braces that very same day thinking wow such great service how quickly they "understood my needs" WRONG Dr. Markova is MONEY HUNGRY!!!!! From this day on my entire experience was RUSHED. Verbatim this office specifically RUSHES the process of braces. Before my braces being removed and throughout the process I worked with both Dr. Markova & Dr. Thai. (Constantly stressing my bottom teeth) I noticed i stopped being scheduled to see Dr. Markova once she took my braces off even AFTER I shared my concerns pertaining my bottom teeth STILL being crooked. Dr. Markova simply brushed it off stating I was good and ready looked me in my face and said "the retainer will fix that problem". She is super fake, snotty, stuck up and inconsiderate and very UNWILLING. Smiled in my frowning sad face and walked off after the removal. Shes nice until you push back and she will turn into a different person. (I've inserted photos) I went home and literally cried. I wrote the office a long email AGAIN explaining my issue. It does not matter if I simple asked for possible early take off, if my teeth aren't ready they simply aren't ready! I then came back and luckily worked with Dr. Thai. Got the braces put back on my bottom teeth and started the unfinished process again. IF IT WEREN'T FOR DR. THAI id raised hell in that office for sure. Dr. Thai took TIME and was patient listened to me and did not rush the process. She clearly saw the issue and acted on it. Please Dr.Thai RUN and start your own practice. You're way to good for this atmosphere. To the assistants, speak up, if you see wrong doing and see problems do not be doormats to patients. I've seen you'll bite your tongue to not overstep boundaries or just plain fear. There are plenty of orthodontics with years of experience who know that braces are to not be rushed rather done with care and patience to secure the teeth in place to prevent shifting from happening again! I paid over 7,000 out of pocket for a mediocre job. And will forever steer everyone away from this office. I've been bamboozled.
