We signed up with Little Dumpsters because a salesman came to the door and we were sold on them being a small local company. We never had any issues at first, however lately the service has been very inconsistent. Delivery issues were generally resolved the following day but now in the past couple of months they have missed us entirely for a whole week. As of now we are approaching 3 weeks. Each time it seems to be a different story. First their vehicles needed service, and there was a warranty issue, bad weather (which I totally get) but then weather would be blamed when there was none. Unfortunately we can't support them anymore. Maybe we will try again in a year or so, but we need something more reliable. It is also very difficult to reach anyone as the mailbox is full, emails go unanswered. But I will say this, recently they have been doing better with the follow up, I believe it may be the owner who has been emailing us and communicating with us. So there is a plus there. read more

This trash collection service is the worst that I have ever had. Missed several scheduled pick up dates, but the final one solidified closing the account. For over a month, they missed the pick up of our recyclables. When I pointed this out, the customer service rep said that they had pictures of the curb without the bin in front. I asked them to send to photo and, you guessed it, it wasn't our home. When asked how soon a truck would be sent to pick up the recyclables, I was told that she would look into it and get back to me. Never heard back. The punch line - I closed the account. Then I received an email wanting a confirmation AND stating that there would be a $48 bin removal fee. I'm not expecting that they will be able to find our house given they have been looking in the wrong place for over a month. I am also looking into breach of contract and rescinding the $48 fee. Everyone's trash cans are turned over on the ground, so sloppy. I can tell everyone that works for this company absolutely hates their job. After about one month of good service they didn't pickup my trash yesterday. We have tried calling and emailing with no answers or call back. Little Dumpsters is the garbage and recycling service selected by our HOA. We have not had an issue with trash pick-ups; however, two of our recycling bins have been tossed into their truck rather than left on the curb. I realize incidents can occur; their customer service response to the situation is another story. The first time a bin disappeared on recycling day, we figured oh well and didn't make a fuss. Then another one went missing on June 29. My husband called the company and asked for a call back. We never received one. A week later, I called and never received a call back despite stating that my husband had already called. Tonight, I actually got a person on the line and explained the situation since half of my recycling containers are now gone. The woman on the phone said there was no way they would ever take someone's recycling containers and that it was possible someone walked to our home and took it. She said they would be happy to bring one of their totes to us, although there would be a $48 delivery fee plus monthly rental. She also said it "would just be easier and cheaper for you to go buy some new bins." When I explained that their mistake should not become my financial responsibility, she passed me off to a man who once again said they would never take a recycling container and he knew that for sure because he was one of the drivers. His suggestion was to use an old trash can, write "recycling" on a piece of paper and tape it to the trash can. Basically, each of them might as well have just said, "We don't give a shit. It's your problem." As a former business owner, I told them that any of my mistakes did not become my customer's problem, but they could have cared less. I just left another message letting them know that our Ring doorbell shows video of them tossing one of the bins in their truck. I doubt I'll hear back. Accidents happen; how you handle it is key. I have never experienced such horrible costumer service. They never answer their phones nor pick up the trash. Our trash has been sitting outside for 3 weeks now. They say it's because of the snowstorm, but the roads have been completely clear for the last two weeks. It's probably going to sit for another 3 weeks due to the ACTUAL snowstorm we are about to get. No one wants to call back or reply to emails. My wife left a review, and they got back to her then. So apparently the only way for them to respond is by writing bad reviews about them. They have raised their prices twice, and we have only been with them for about 6 months now. This time they won't even tell us how much the price was raised and told us not to call and ask them, to just wait until we receive our next bill. It's been impossible to get a hold of them to inquire about what the new price is. Why would anyone want to wait to know what kind of price they will be paying???? And why would anyone want to pay more money for service that they aren't even receiving?? We like to support small family businesses, but when they can't uphold their service, I'm sorry but it's not worth it at that point. Especially when the customer service isn't responsive, and we have to repeatedly call just to figure out what is going on. That is there job not ours. We were willing to work with them when they were responsive and good customer service, however it's been the complete opposite. If you're going to own a business it's important to be responsive, kind, and reliable. Having trash sit outside for three weeks is a good way to attract racoons, we have children and dogs, we don't need racoons hanging around chillin in our trash. We would bring the trash back in, but we don't ever know when they will try to come pick it up due to the lack of communication, and at this point there is so much trash out there it would be ridiculous to carry bags of trash in and out every week. read more

I was promised that Little Dumpsters is better than other trash companies that service our neighborhood when we signed up in February 2022. They have missed or have been delayed picking up our trash 13 times. One of those times, we were told that it was marked as picked up. I told them I've got 2 street facing cameras and would be happy to send footage that proved otherwise. We live in a cul-de-sac with 13 houses. The trucks have one way in, and one way out. I work from home and see everything from my office monitor. There are 3 other trash companies that pick up my neighbor's trash. They are always on time! They continuously fail to fulfill their contractual obligations. When they fail to adhere to the schedule that they provide, there is always one excuse or another. They didn't show up the day they were supposed to with the dumpsters. In the past we have had minor issues with drivers that appear to have been addressed, I wasn't entirely sure about this company until this morning when they showed up before we had the trash out. To our surprise, instead of passing us by, the driver collected our garbage can from the side of the house and took care of us. I have never had that attention to detail with a trash service before. Last week when I called, they called back immediately with the answers to my questions. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is that their voicemail is always full so you can't leave a message, however they have managed to see my missed calls each time and promptly reach out. I have given Little Dumpsters 8 months to get it together and unfortunately it's time to go. We cheer for the underdog in our household which is why we made the switch from Waste Connections last year. The sales guy signed up 12 people in our neighborhood that day and nearly everyone has moved their service elsewhere. It's a shame that they continue to try and build their business when they can't take care of the customers they already have. We have consistently had to move in our recycle bins after they sit out for days. All to move them back out and not have them come even when they said they would. Our trash is always late in the day if they do come and I live in a neighborhood where it's embarrassing to have trash out for 24 hours. I just don't understand the barriers to getting things done. Pay your people more? Figure out the problems with staffing. I get short staffed, I get the pandemic, I get problems. However if you can't get it together and you continue to let your customers down you won't make it in these times. read more

Then the second recycle day, we watched on our camera as one guy lifted our recycle bins, looked in, and grabbed a couple boxes set on the side of our recycle bins. Don't even.... 1. Inconsistent/incompetent trash pickup: about 1/2 the time they actually make it on the scheduled day. But not usually trash and recycling. That would be setting the bar too high. Hopefully the wind or dogs don't get to it before they eventually get by to retrieve the remainder. Once, they dumped the recycling into the regular trash truck...and left the trash (I watched 'em), because it was a whole other can (and you can only have additional bags--not cans). They made sure they followed their rule book on that day. ONE CAN ONLY!!! 2. The lifting apparatus on one of their trucks is REALLY rough on the cans. If it's their cans, I wouldn't care--but thankfully, I noticed it before my 90 gallon (EXPENSIVE!!!) cans were destroyed completely. Apparently other customers were not so lucky. Put your crappy cans out for 'em--not your good ones! 3. I think they scored the 'Mother Lode' (yes, that's the correct spelling of Lode, btw) by getting one or more entire subdivisions to service, and so the rest of us.....well, they'll try to do us a favor and get by here when they can. 4. ...and if you still insist on signing up with them, please ask them to obey the speed limit while in your neighborhood Lastly, I am SO excited to be on my last month with them (WARNING: they'll 'auto bill' you while you still have at least a month remaining. I had signed up with them for residential service because I liked the idea of using a locally owned business. My problems arose when I signed up for service online, and requested bins and they never showed up. When I called the number I had for them, I had a hard time finding someone to speak to, and was ultimately told that I apparently hadn't signed up for bins and would need to purchase my own, which I did. I asked, then, if what I was paying included bin rental, and received no response. A few times I did not have my garbage or recycling picked up, and was notified late (often too late) that they'd need to pick it up another day. If I missed that communication (usually through email), then I was out of luck until the next week. While some of the delays were weather related (and I should note: it's Denver--be prepared for snow if you're a business that relies on trucks), some were not, and they simply didn't pick up my trash and/or recycling that day for whatever reason. All in all, I was dissatisfied with the service and wrote an email to someone who had emailed about a previous cancellation to terminate my service. It turns out it was the owner. After arguing back-and-forth on email, I ultimately said I was ending our service with them. I then received a bill for the next three months, and I called the number to ask why I was receiving a bill, I once again got a voicemail. I got a call back, talked to the route manager, and explained this situation. He said they never received or confirmed the confirmation, and since I had a one-year contract (where is that? I didn't sign a one year contract), and since I'm cancelling, they would need to invoice me a cancellation fee. I told him I wouldn't pay, and so he said fine, we'll set a collection agency on you. Now, please note the attached photo, which states their cancellation policy. Even if they wanted to claim they didn't get my cancellation in time, today is Tuesday, and the first pickup would have been this Friday--so I'm still cancelling before the new period would have begun! All this is to say that this is a small business that doesn't seem to be able to handle the amount of customers they seem to have. Maybe my experience is unique, but I cannot recommend anyone use them. They want to say "we went by your house and there was no garbage out" and I want to yell "because I cancelled my service and you never picked it up on time anyway!" I'm weirdly neurotic about taking out the garbage, so if it wasn't out, it's probably because I pulled it back when I didn't think they were coming (by the way, there's no set schedule for when they pick up your garbage--just the day; by night, I'm sure I pulled it back, because I expected--based on my experience--they weren't coming). I'm glad they take photos, but that only proves that my cans weren't there when they were there--it doesn't say whether or not they had communicated to me when they were going to pick up the trash. More, they never once--in the past month, while they were taking all those photos--called and been like "Hmm, it seems like you haven't been putting out your trash." No, they were content with my money, but not with servicing me as customer. It's only after I touched base with them that any kind of accusations came my way. I tried to be cordial, and they threaten me with bogus cancellation fees and collection agents. I started services through little dumpsters 3 months ago after moving into my first house. A door to door salesman had offered the services and I thought why not. I paid 3 months in advance for trash and recycle bins. First off they never delivered the recycle bin. They also NEVER answer their phones and NEVER call back. It almost became a routine to call them every week for 3 months. Emails and calls are never answered. They also would pick up the trash at different times of the day so we could never catch the driver to ask if they had any way to get ahold of the company. After a week and no can I called which they assured me that a can was scheduled. Called again on the 29th and was told scheduled for 30th. Called late on the 30th and no answer just voicemail. Called again Aug 2 2 times and no one is answering the calls or returning voicemail. I have emailed and cancelled the service which was not delivered and hopefully my credit card will not be hit. The first 3 months were great no missed trash pick-ups, til July and Aug 22 they are skipping weeks and not offering to come and get it til the following week, so paying 4 pickups a month yet only getting maybe 2. We tried calling and no answer but my wife called their roll-off business and complained and they stated we did not have our trash out, I have video of me pulling the trash out on Thursdays (still picture below) and our pick up is Friday, they responded we are not blaming you (picture for Friday below) , our driver did not take a picture of missed/completed pickup, i have video of the trash can not moved as of yet. Okay, they're really good at a few things like coating the street in hydraulic fluid, feeding spilled garbage to wildlife, and not returning phone calls. Like, really good at those things. Wow. I wish I could give this locations 0 stars. Initially I was excited to support a local business. They were comparable to the other waste removal services in the area, so we figured we would give them a shot. BIG MISTAKE. This company picks up your trash late more than they ever have on time. If they even come for that week at all. There is little to no communication with their customers and their prices continue to go up every billing cycle (I believe within three billing cycles I was paying nearly $45 more a quarter. Only on the last increase did they explain why, normally it just showed up in my bank statements. Now that I'm trying to cancel services, they have been a nightmare to deal with. They didn't pick up garbage for TWO weeks. When they did my last pick up, they left half my bin full of trash and told me I would be charged. ?? WTF? I took the trash out myself and got a different company. They refuse to call me or email me back, and refuse to compensate me for the trash THEY Left 2 weeks ago.
