Amazing bakery + restaurant. Full of charm too.

Updating my review of this delightful spot. I've been here several times with a local friend over the past ten+ years and it's never less than scrumptious and good for the soul. The caramels: chef's kiss. The baked goods: gorgeous, delicious, and nourishing. This last visit, I got a kind of cold, spicy noodle salad and it was fantastic. Eating it in the sun was what I needed at that moment. I also went home with a packet of giant, sugar-dusted vanilla marshmallows for my child. They weee a hit chopped into pieces and added to hot chocolate. I've also bought gifts and beautiful Christmas ornaments over the years. Long may this spot flourish and provide solace to those who find it.

Absolutely love the ham and butter sandwich...the bread is amazing! I also had a dirty chai and that was really good. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5, is that the service is always indifferent. It seems as though they don't really care that you are there, and you are just a number. It wasn't busy when I was there...and I've been a few times and it always seems this way. Great food, though, and relatively quick service.

I can understand the hype behind this place. It's really good but the bread is everything here. I thought it was baked to a nice crisp with the crust while the inside is nice and chewy for my sourdough. The portion is also very filling. Note this place is very small relative to the large amount of people that seem to be visit here, so plan to take to-go as an alternative if you can't get a seat. There is some parking in the back but also gets busy.

Want to give a shout out to a place that packs so much flavor and goodness regardless of their "Little" name. Expect a line if you arrive at peak hours, but nonetheless the service is top notch nice! The espressos pack a balance between energy and flavor; and the pastries -- ridiculous -- they're all delicious. Merch may be over stimulating at first but there's an array of great gifts to choose from just in case... you know... If you have time, sit back and enjoy your meal in the patio and feel the magic :)

Their pastries are so delicious and soft! Their coffee is really good as well. It does get busy but very well worth the wait.

Arrived on a Saturday morning and people were waiting before they were officially open. It's a small shop with mostly,if not all, outdoor seating. There's a parking lot on the side/in the back and there's also plenty of street parking. Only got to try the cranberry orange scone for my visit but it was delicious. Crisp on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Wasn't too sweet, not too much glaze, it was perfect. I appreciated the whole cranberries inside too.

Little Flower is such a cool little coffee shop with tons of charm and personality. It's an easy, relaxed place with great vibes and that welcoming neighborhood feel. Perfect for grabbing coffee and hanging out. My personal highlight was randomly running into a celebrity from one of my favorite shows which just added to the fun experience. Definitely a spot worth visiting."

    Post run coffee and breakfast

A need for post run coffee and breakfast brought us to Little Flower. Cute, almost hidden little cafe that offers so much more than you'd think. We walked in and were surprised to see shelves and displays full of candies, Christmas decor (all 50% off right now), teas, coffee, pottery, snacks, seasoning, books, kids' items and so much more. At the counter you can find baked items, prepared meals, and canned drinks for sale. I would never have lot there would be so many options. The staff was super friendly. We placed our order and waited to the side. We realized quickly this cafe was crazy popular. Indoor and outdoor seating areas were full and there was a constant steady flow of customers in line and picking up orders to go. Our items were presented to us in white paper bags and we were off to enjoy them at home. What we ordered: - Hot Vanilla Latte with almond milk (it was ok. would have liked a stronger espresso) - Breakfast sandwich (loved the caramelized onions. something other than sliced toasted wheat would have elevated the sandwich) - Egg and bacon burrito (very tasty. decent portion size) -Vanilla Caramel Bread Pudding (massive piece of vanilla bread pudding smothered in a ridiculous amount of gooey caramel sauce. so freaking good. might take us a couple days to finish it) Will be back next time we are running at the Rose Bowl. So many yummy items we want to try.

Little Flower Cafe has been a hub of the community for 17 years. I had not been there for a number of years (and never dined in)... After hearing that Little Flower has been feeding those who've lost everything in the devastating Eaton Wildfire disaster, as well as first responders, fire fighters, etc., I really wanted to go and support. We went for breakfast on a weekday, and were able to sit inside where there are about 5 small tables next to the window. There is also outdoor seating on the front patio. Interior is cozy, bright and cheerful. Service is friendly and efficient. I ordered at the counter, and they brought our order to the table. My Mom had the Breakfast Bowl--- White bean, sausage, baby kale, fennel, onion, lemon dressing, pistou with poached egg. I had the Veggie Bagel - Cream cheese, mixed greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, avocado, red pepper & carrot on a toasted everything bagel. Everything was great! The bagel had a lot of greens, and I wish it had some dressing, as it was dry. But we enjoyed our breakfast. My Mom got a small to-go box to take some of her Breakfast Bowl home. I was going to get some cookies to take home, but the line was too long. It was bustling, and great to see both indoors and outdoor patio full with customers. I was able to find street parking right in front of the cafe. Recommended. You can follow them on Instagram: @little_flower_cafe

Such a cute little space. The cinnamon rolls were everything I could have asked for, and their gifts were fun to browse. I will be back!

Ask the Community - Little Flower

Are your marshmallows vegetarian/vegan or do they contain animal gelatin?

Hi! Is Little Flower wheelchair accessible?

Yes, it is. Shopping or ordering occurs inside. One door for entry, one for exit. Small tables outside and a few inside, if desired. Parking lot - behind store and along east side of bldg (one way from back toward front).

Hi- Has this business closed or is just temporary due to COVID-19? My daughter and I walked over today and it wasn't open. 😔

    Definitely back open....

Do they offer gluten free bread options for the sandwiches?

    Don't think they do

    Are dogs allowed?

I've seen them at the outside tables but not inside. There's very limited space inside and it gets very crowded.

When they had penny candy machines, a big taxidermy deer head and the kindest owner. He once gave me and my sibling a big paper lunch bag full of candies! I love seeing the original check out stand, the little upper office where the owner would stand and the old fridge area where it once held fruits and veggies now old school candy bars. If you grew up in highland park in the 80s, this was the local market. How I miss those days! Highland Park is so different now! Btw Galco's makes some of the best sandwiches! Also if anyone knows where to get Stoney Tangawizi please let me know!

First: I used to love this place. As a fellow small biz…read moreowner nearby, I supported and promoted this place as one of the long standing coolest stores on the Eastside. It has such a selection of candy from your childhood, and for kids, random unique gifts to keep them busy. but yesterday...all that flew out the window. I approached the sandwich counter and asked the person working (an angry woman apparently) what her favorite sandwiches are. After she took a minute to complain about how she had been making sandwiches all day and her brain is fried and she didn't really have any recommendations for me (and was seemingly annoyed at me even asking) she looked at the clock and advised that I was 2 minutes too late to order a hot sandwich. literally the 2 minutes she took to complain about her job cost me the sandwich. now, if it was my shop and a nice family came in and asked me my opinion on something and I took a minute or two to say the things that she said I would give them a sandwich and make that sandwich be the last sandwich of the day, but instead apparently my money wasn't green enough for her. She shut it down and two minutes later was out the door. she was rude, and honestly it just seemed that she didn't give an F. Today I called the store to speak with the owner and the person who answered the phone gave me the runaround. it was clear that either the workers didn't want to connect me with the owner or the owner doesn't want to hear the complaint. this place has gone downhill.
