My sister and I stopped by Saturday morning at 9am to check out the bakery. It's located in the san Sai restaurant shopping center. No signage outside so it's well hidden. The store is small with cute desserts, brownies, petite items, coffee, teas. The owner seems nice and cordial. The brownie was rich and moist. It tastes very good. There also cute plates and snacks. I didn't see croissants or other pastries from the previous location in south Pasadena.

Perfect little sweets! Fruit tart, strawberry cheesecake, and vanilla eclair (with a satisfying crispy exterior)!

What a gem! I was walking through the building and caught a glimpse of their storefront. They have the perfect little desserts along with standard size desserts (eclairs, macarons, brownies, tarts, cheesecakes, canele, etc.). I have always wanted to have an assortment of miniature desserts to select from since I can never eat too much of only one dessert. They also have delicate teapot/teacup sets for sale along with some Asian convenience food items (e.g., ramen cups). I ordered an iced lavender eispanner- very smooth and delicious. Everything I tried was high quality with the perfect textures! Please support small businesses! The owner obviously takes a lot of care into the quality and execution of each dessert and coffee.

Pastry display in front, their bigger cakes are stored in the back

This is a very cute bakery shop newly opened and located on South Lake on the ground floor of The Colonnade. I was looking for a Pasadena bakery shop that had available cakes ready to go and I found this location on Yelp. From the reviews, it sounded like their Passion Fruit Cheesecake and Strawberry Cheesecakes are a hit so I stopped by to give it a try. The bakery shop has a beautiful display in the front. Very beautiful pastries and mini cakes. I believe it was the owner that was there helping me. I asked him if he had any bigger cakes available and he did in the back and asked if I wanted a 6 inch cake or a 8 inch cake. The 8 inch Passion Fruit Cheesecake came out to $76. I was quite surprised that 8 inch cakes were going for more than $60 nowadays. The box that the cake was placed in was very pretty. The cake was very pretty, but I think the passion fruit flavor was a little not what I had expected. I could taste the passion fruit in the mousse part, but I couldn't really taste the cheesecake part. The crust was delicious. I'm not sure if I would come back to purchase their cakes, but I may try their other pastries.

Best chocolate chip cookie in the SGV

New locatoin, same delectable desserts and cookies (no more opera cake, hence the name change from "Berry Opera") Still the BEST chocolate chip cookie in the San Gabriel Valley. Located inside the Arcade building.

    Lemon Tart 6.5inch

Their Lemon Tart is the best! I ordered a 6.5 inch for birthday. Everyone loved it. Well definitely come back.

    Today's pastry variety

I absolutely loved this pastry café! Everything I tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. The cream puffs were light, fresh, and filled with flavorful cream. The panna cotta was smooth and perfectly balanced, and the chai latte was warm, aromatic, and comforting. The strawberry cheesecake was the perfect finish--creamy, rich, and topped with fresh strawberry flavor. The quality of the desserts and drinks really stood out. I will definitely be coming back to try more items. Highly recommend for anyone looking for amazing pastries and desserts!

Berry Opera aka Oui Berry Cafe is now at the Colonnade Building Suite 101! I was really disappointed when I heard that their location on South Pasadena Fair Oaks had closed but was so excited when I found out they had just moved to the Colonnade Building on Lake Avenue in Pasadena. They still have their decadent desserts & coffee from before! See you here!!!

Cute little place that makes its own pastries. Met the owner/operator who was very nice and helpful. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to others.

    Mini french desserts!

I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves it! A total little hidden gem tucked in the Colonnade Shops next to a bunch of hair salons (easy to miss). It's super nondescript from the outside, but inside is a magical display of tiny French-style pastries! We got the tiramisu, eclairs, and chouquettes (tiny cream puff dough balls so good we went back for more), plus a matcha latte and honey lavender latte. Loved every mini thing we ate, seriously some of the best desserts we've ever tasted! It's a grab and go spot, but I wish they had seating; if they opened a storefront in the Burlington Arcade, I bet there'd be a line out the door. The Korean chef was trained in Franc, and he is clearly incredibly talented. Go before everyone else finds out about this place!

My Favorite Coffee! Love the Mocha. They have beautiful pastries in the cute Colonnade Building on south Lake Ave.

We arrived just after they opened at 7am and were quite literally the first customers of the day. Thanks for opening your doors to us! This place is such a unique blend: part hip-hop vinyl shop, part artsy cafe, and all-around good vibes. The music selection is top notch, and I loved browsing the cute merch and randomly awesome stationery items. Service was super friendly. My husband had a great conversation with one of the guys behind the counter about the shop's minimalist decor, and we learned Two Kids has been thriving for 10 years. I hadn't been in since right around the pandemic, so it was heartwarming to see they made it through and are still flourishing. The espresso was absolutely luscious, and as a bonus, we got the prettiest latte art with hearts in our drinks, big love for that! Really wish I had more time to hang out on the comfy couches in the middle of the shop and soak in some vinyl tunes. Can't wait to come back and spend a morning here the right way, highly recommended!

The popcorn chicken, fried tofu, and orange green tea are what I usually order. They make those very consistently so you know what to expect. It gets busy here when school kids are hanging out but if you are outside of those windows, it doesn't take too long. Service ranges from friendly to standard, so no complaints there. The one issue I have with them is they show a loyalty program in terms of entering your phone number -- if you order online as well as the register. But I've never gotten any points. I once asked the owner about it and he claimed that they do in fact give out items, and said he would check on it that night when I told him the situation. But he never actually asked my name and info, and I've still never received any points since, despite having ordered here about twice a week for the past several weeks. It's not a deal breaker but it's strange.

I love a spot with a lot of character, which is exactly what this place is. Vibes immaculate, huge variety of coffee/matcha drinks, and fresh food all around. I went for breakfast burrito and my usual iced vanilla latte. Great combo. It tastes great, and I loved the salsa verde on the side. It was a good portion, and I left feeling satisfied. I absolutely loved sitting outside and having fresh air with a great view. You are given a number at the counter, and your food is brought out to your table. I've also seen their promotions on Instagram and love that they do themed menus/events for holidays and such. I have yet to check out the San Marino location, but that's next on the list. Found seating outside but moved some plates ourselves from one table to another to find shade for us the kiddo. Grabbed a high chair and got seating set up. A few folks were setting up to play music out on the patio. We ordered inside as expected, thankfully the line wasn't too bad at that time so it went smoothly, though the prices are still higher than the average mom/pop sandwich place (but we anticipated this). We waited a bit for food while the patio band played. Ambience was pretty nice. Our friend's sandwich came out first and about 5 minutes later our food came. However, the Arnold Palmer we ordered didn't arrive with the food so we asked if they'd come back to bring it, and we were told they'd be right back. We waited probably another 5 minutes but drink still didn't come so I went inside to ask about it and saw the drink sitting on the back counter. So I asked staff if I could pick up the drink and they handed it over. Our friend's sandwich (the Jester) looked pretty filling while wife and I ordered/shared the Crown Jewel with cheese and mayo on the side. The Crown Jewel was pretty meh overall. Wasn't as stacked as the Jester and the bread fell apart as I ate it, despite the mayo on the side. At the end of eating someone came by to grab our order numbers and ask how things went. I commented on the wait for the drink and was told they couldn't find us, which sounded strange because they found us when bringing the sandwich and we still had our order number. But she said we could get a free refill. Since I wanted to take advantage of the refill I went inside to inquire but the order counter had gotten extremely busy. So I asked one of the bus/wait staff outside if they could grab my refill. He directed me inside and he commented how busy they were but I said I didn't want to wait in the huge line simply for a refill, so he offered to meet me inside to get the refill. Eventually I did receive the refill and we left. Overall, for the price of the food I felt the service was very average bordering on subpar, and the food was meh for the price. I don't blame the staff as they all seemed to be working very hard, but perhaps they were understaffed which would be more of a management issue. We basically bussed a couple tables on our own and waited what eventually amounted to 20-25 minutes for an ice tea/lemonade. I pre-tipped when I bought the food, which I kind of regretted but also felt bad that the employees were understaffed so I likely would have left a tip anyways. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. Wish the food and service were better
