If you only read one review, let this be it. (TL;DR - it's misrepresented here on Yelp and is filthy and disgusting with a bunch of shrill harpies hollering at the kids.) First things first - all their photos here are from over two years ago. But don't worry; I added a bunch from this month so you can see where these kids spend their time. I didn't get any shots of the playground, but that photo of new toys in beauty bark? No longer accurate. It's a long strip of pea gravel with a bunch of plastic toys that are so old and sun-bleached, you wouldn't be able to donate them to Goodwill. It's fenced in with chain link and it's in a parking lot next to Taco Bell. When I called to schedule a tour, I asked a lot of questions and was placated with all the answers I wanted to hear (including that their play area was NOT in a parking lot, ironically). I toured Little Flowers and my first impression was that it looks so different that I thought the Yelp photos were of a separate location. The preschool room, let me tell ya - it is TOTAL chaos. The "teacher" doesn't have any control over those kids and all she does is yell. Even when she's speaking normally it's a yell. And apparently her own son is in that class as well, she was yelling at him too. It was disgusting, smelled terrible, kids crying...I mean I understand that daycare can be a mixed bag but this was on another level. The photos I shared here were taken after some modicum of "cleaning" had been done, as evidenced by the smell of lemon slightly masking the pee odor. Why do people send their kids here? Either they don't know, don't care, or don't have a choice. I am not sure which of the three is worst, to be honest. I don't have an axe to grind here. I just think that it's super important that we as parents keep ourselves and each other well-informed. Avoid this place. read more

Absolutely worst daycare ever will never let any of my kids or family or friends kids step foot in this daycare again. Staffing is very unprofessional especially the director when filing my issue with them she took no care at all. Also they have no cameras!!! If you're child gets hurt or abused the law can't do anything because there is no way to prove anything. Learned that the hard way. read more

It took me such a long time to write this, I had to get over the hurt of saying goodbye to such a great establishment. I had been with Little Flowers for almost two years before I switched Daycares. I switched out of convenience, otherwise my son would still be enrolled. Amanda (the director) has been an angel from my sons first day, she took care of my son as if he was her own. The whole team treated my son with such love and respect and made it easy for me to trust them with his care. If you are looking for a place that will take care of your children as if they were own I would highly recommend Little Flowers, Amanda and Ashley (Director & Assistant Director) make a great pair and together I have already seen so much improvement to the facility and the overall function of the team. I've only ever had one concern in my time enrolled here and it regarded another student bullying my son. I mentioned my concerns to Amanda and she made time of her day to sit down with me AND vocalize what she would be doing to make my son feel safer in their care. This is an amazing daycare. I have an infant, & the ladies that are in the infant room... they do so many fun activities with my baby. He comes home every day with a new talent!! & don't get me started on Cindy, she is amazing. She made the enrollment process as easy as she could considering how stressed I was when I was looking! Been to this place once... they wanted to split up 2 baby siblings that have a hard life as it is... also one lady there wears glasses an shes is so RUDE an should be fired from this business due to her disrespect to the children... not allowing them to use the bathroom...? How could you... if I had my way, she would be fired never allowed to work with children again... if you work with children, this young, you should understand each child comes from a different life style an they don't always add up to ur expectations... this lady has no right to tell a child (potty training stage) he or she can't use the restroom... she has no right to be rude to clients... an if this place is paid already for each child, they shouldn't be allowed to turn away the children that r there when they are supposed to be there... but no, they turned away children because "there's not enough teachers, or staff" so it's ok they're already paid for the children, they kicked my children out for the day, cuz they were short staffed an my children were late... this place don't get ANY rating... they are the worst... the lady I saw first, was polite an really nice... the second lady was like Cinderella step mother... no child deserves her attitudes or home life issues to be brought to their children's school.... bad lady, bad place... ​ read more

When you walk in the smell smacks you in the face. All you hear is the teachers yelling especially in the pre k and preschool rooms, screaming all day. Good luck getting a full consistent story of any issues you have. Everyday at pick up the teachers are on their phones not paying any attention to the kids. The owners clearly do not put any money into their business, as the building is falling apart. Do not tell the director any personal information as the staff will gossip about whatever you having going on amongst themselves and with other parents. There is maybe two three great teachers in the toddler and infant room. They don't do any sort of curriculum. read more

I liked them for my infant and I felt OK leaving her there. We started at 8 months old. In the 4ish months we were there. My baby was non-stop sick and all the other little ones had green noses all the time. The communication between staff was horrible. I would relay something and the next person would have no idea in the afternoon. When my baby changed to the one year room I discovered that her "cubby" was in the bathroom where open toilets were flushed. No wonder this kid couldn't catch a break on sicknesses. Having switched somewhere else it's a night and day difference and my baby no longer cries and seems stressed out. read more

As a first time mother, I was not at all happy with my experience. My daughter was only there for 2 days before I pulled her out. I was not pleased for several reasons: 1. The daycare is clearly understaffed--especially the infant room. The teachers are overwhelmed, yet they continue to enroll children. There is no set schedule for infants and teachers struggle to keep up with them. 2. The lights were always off. A teacher explained to me that they were off because it kept the babies calm. I did not like this because the enviroment directly effects psychological and emotional development. It was very depressing and disturbing. 3. The smell is overwhelming. 4. My daughter was sent home wrapped in a blanket. They did not bother to change her clothes. She was senthome in the cold with no pants. She bad been sucking on a pacifier that was not hers. When i spoke to the Assistant Director, Cindy, she was very non-chalant and apathetic. Instaed of apologizing, she only made excuses and tried to explain her behavior. Very unprofessional. 5. The owner, Nikki is very kind and understanding. However, she should really consider hiring new Directors. 6. The Director, Amanda refused to give me public information about daycare policies. Luckily I was able to find them online. She became very agressive and defensive when i started asking questions about the enviroment my daughter was in. She should do better about making parents, especially new parents, feel comfortable abput inquiring about the welfare of their children. When she immidiatley became defensive, I wondered what she was trying to hide. I must warn any parent who has a disagreement with her, she will find some way to get you and your child out of her way. If you dont agree with her, its a problem. For this reason, i am not surprised that its so hard to keep teachers. I imagine, its very difficult working with her. 7. When i acquired about early achiever activities, the Assitant Director, Cindy informed me that by law, a curriculm and daily schedule had to be posted outside the classroom, but that doesnt mean they follow it. That was not a very smart thing to say. However, she did not strike me as a very competent woman or leader. Im not sure how the other age groups do. From what ive observed in passing, the teachers are very kind, but extemely overwhelmed. If you are a parent, like me, who care about the emotional and psychological development of your infant when you are away, I would not reccomend this place. Although the staff's intentions are good, they are underqualified and could benefit from teacher development and training. If you do not care about what your infant is learning, and just want them to be in a place that will, simply, keep your baby alive, then this is the place for you. Im sure there are worse places. This one is mediocre at best. If you have high expectations for your children, this is not the place. This place is really just glorified babysitters. read more

Enrolled my son in June and couldn't bring him until Sept. when the openings became available. Finally was able to start bringing him here and the next day was informed they had a 60% price increase (from $550 to $879 per month three days a week) at the beginning of Sept. No phone calls, no emails, nothing. So we immediately said we can't afford that and that every daycare is now full. They knew at least into August they were going to do this but did nothing to notify us. They said it was our responsibility to ask while my son didn't go to their facility if the price had increased. (Our attorney says the opposite). Now we are stuck driving our son to Puyallup from Tumwater for daycare all because they couldn't make a phone call. The gal at the front desk also notify us that they had all rights to charge us $879 even though we were pulling my son out after a total of 12 hours (1 day and 4 hours) because we were not giving them 2 weeks notice! I was very close to laughing in the faces of these unreal people. In the end the owners were notified and just said to call it a wash and didn't charge us. I'm not going to bad mouth the facility but the management is lacking serious intelligence. read more

I had my child enrolled here for almost a year. I moved him from the Tumwater center to the new Lacey one. I got really tired of the constant new teachers and him being bumped down a class because his was too full. I casually told the teacher it might be his last week but wasn't sure. I did not put in writing my final notice or personally tell the owner who I was very familiar with. I simply made a comment that I did not think was going to be used against me. The following week, my wife took him to school and was told that he didn't have a spot anymore. The teacher told the owner that my child was no longer coming in. The owner took that as if it were coming from me, and gave my sons spot to someone else. We were on childcare assistance at the time, three months later, this daycare was still collecting for our child who hadn't been attending for 3 months! They gave my sons spot away the minute I had any thoughts about leaving, then failed to report that back to childcare assistance so they could keep collecting. So disappointed at the owner for not keeping her professionalism and acting like a child when I confronted her. From personal experience, I liked Tammy and followed her to the Lacey center for a while until things got messy when Velma stepped in. Also not that my son is gay, but he kissed his friend and Velma told him that he shouldn't be kissing boys. That is not for her to say. So Velma was reporting to the parents that my son kissed their son, but was not reporting to the parents of any girls he kissed. Clearly, Velma has an agenda about gay people and is trying to enforce that on our kids. I'm so sad to say I regret the last year and a half of his enrollment at little flowers in Lacey. I hope they straighten up, they won't last long if they keep it up. read more
