Both Nanny & Families -  After careful consideration as I hate to disparage anyone, I decided to convey my experience.  I have over 20 years experience as a nanny and a caregiver with excellent references. I also have extensive professional corporate experience in executive positions.  My last charge was a year ago and I decided it was time to love another young one. I find great enjoyment in teaching children.  I contacted Madison after seeing a position I was very much peaked my interest.  The response from Madison was " You sound great and I would love to interview you! I am currently on leave and conducting all of my interviews via Skype or Facetime."  I responded that I did not use Skype (archaic type of video chat) and had an Android. However suggested we could do Facebook messenger as video chat or an initial telephone interview.  Madison responded with "FB messenger is definitely an option, let's do that!" And set a meeting time.  The meeting time came and went with no contact from Madison. I called and left her a VM as well as reached out via email with no response to our missed meeting. I wish I had read all the reviews prior to applying and wasting my valuable time. This is an issue with her. And while she continues to apologize and/or make excuses it appears this is ongoing for years.  In my experience this nanny serive will let down both the nanny and families with the lack of follow through, professionalism and consistent excuses as to why it failed (her previous responses) Hopefully in the future she will realize the value of others time. read more

I have worked with 3 nanny agencies. The first one, Seattle Nanny Network, was just unimpressive. I got a couple of candidates from them who showed up at my house, didn't know who I was, how many kids I had, how old they were, or any details of our hours or requirements. The second agency, A Nanny For U, actually placed a nanny with us who quit within the trial period, but the agency blamed us for it not working out and refused to do another search for us or refund our money. Our thousands of dollars of money. When I contacted Westside Nanny, it was because we had a recommendation as well as because the fee was so much more reasonable. We were in an emergency situation without childcare, and I had been staying home from work trying to find someone. Madison has been great. She owns the business and does all of the recruiting and placements herself, so she very much cares that it works out. My usual nanny wasn't available, and the temp nanny agency I usually use didn't have anyone available. Another nanny recommended Westside Nanny. I read the web site, and saw that they don't do temporary placements. But Madison learned that I was in a pinch, and she reached out to me and set me up with a nanny who was between jobs and interviewing for a new position. Top priority for us was someone with experience, who lived close by, and spoke a foreign language. In just a few weeks she found us Elizabeth. I met with Madison for an interview and she told me about a couple families she wanted to connect me with that she thought I'd be a great fit for. She said that she would send me the background check to fill out so we could start the process. I never received it and she never responded to my email or text. I had a similar experience as another reviewer on here. I filled out an intake form and didn't hear back for several days, so I called and left messages. We finally connected on the phone, but mid conversation the call was dropped and I never received another phone call. I received an email several days later stating Madison was having phone difficulties and that she'd be in touch after the holidays. I responded with a date and time that would work to talk, and that was the last I heard from her. With such an unreliable beginning, I figured my money would be spent better elsewhere, let alone the task of finding childcare for my baby. read more

So, here I am again. Let me just point out that Madison has changed her company name, so before I knew this, I saw a listing on craigslist from this new company. I filled out all my information and applied. I accidentally sent the information without my references. I then emailed explain what had happened and that I'd like to submit my references to them, or whoever would be looking over my information. I never heard back. I waited and waited. I finally just started my own research, and found on the website that the company name had been changed. My last review for this company was about the same reason, zero communication. I would like to inform people that this has happened to me now 3 times, twice with the old company and now once with this company. Had I known it was the old company, Westside Nannies, I would have never applied and wasted my time. My fault for not researching. For future nannies and families, please be aware, this has been an issue with not only myself but with other people, under the Westside Nanny company. A simple email letting me know that it was the same company as before that I had an issue with would have been considerate and the right thing to do. read more

When my wife and I were looking for guidance in finding a care provider for our new baby girl we turned to social media for assistance in our search. Professional, however she's a real person, so the whole process is friendlier then with larger more corporate agencies.
