It's a standard red bookcase that is in good shape. It's in a great location near the playground and the school; it's right on the sidewalk adjacent to the parking lot. As always, a great spot to donate books and pick up books. I've always found a good selection of books every time I visit, especially children's books there. Note: I thought I took a picture of it in the past but couldn't find it in my phone. I will come back with a photo update soon. Until then, keep on reading those books. B-)

There are approximately 150,000 in 115 countries. The goal is to take a book and donate a book. This forms community, expand access to books, and inspire readers. Ever since I start noticing these cute little libraries, I fell in love with them. They are such a great idea. I love books, reading, and the library, so something like this is inspiring and thoughtful. This LFL is located in Mills Pond Park in Canton, CT. It's right near the playground and picnic pavilion. The box is fairly new, installed in the summer of 2024. This was the work of Canton Public Library and Canton Parks and Recreation. The box is tan and green with a plaque on it stating the charter number, name, and the sponsor. "Books are uniquely portable magic." I concur.

The Little Free Library can be missed, so if you're walking in the area, worth a stop to read the signs and pick up or drop off books.

It's tan and green and in good condition. There are always books stocked whenever I visit. Collinsville is such a beautiful downtown, it's no surprised there is a LFL there. There is a parking lot with space to stop and brose the library. Perhaps needing a fresh coat of paint but clean and dry inside, this box is on a single post with a translucent panel on the single door. Inside, a very neat stack of books, mostly paperbacks. This is charter 26934 and the steward is Sarah Raskin. The online caption reads, "The Trinity College Neuroscience Club created this Little Free Library Read and Seed and put it in the Community Garden across from the college." It's nicely painted with a pretty red and the bookcase was loaded with a variety of books. It's worth a stop after visiting the nature center and walking the trail (with an awesome boardwalk).

A charming small village in the Town of Canton, CT. This village was formed around The Collins…read moreCompany Axe Factory. In the early 19th century, this company was the largest axe manufacturer. It's built on the Farmington River which helps power the machines to manufacture axes, knives, machetes, etc. The building is now converted into a historical museum. Cottages as well as other town necessities, were built nearby for the employees. When walking on Main St., you are transported to that era. The buildings are all historic with architecture from the early 19th century. It definitely has that small town feel. There is a post office, liquor store, antique shop, church, restaurants, bar, and tattoo shop. The walking trail is nearby; an old train bridge over the river and a flower bridge overlooking the river. Every October, they have a huge Halloween parade. In the Budget Travel Magazine, they were voted "Top 10 Coolest Small Towns in America". This quaint New England town is beautiful and picturesque with quite a history.
