The people who work here are awful!!!!! I've been getting repeated phone calls from a man here because they received a job application for a dentist named Dr Azadeh. I don't know who that is but I said "this is not Dr Azadeh please stop calling me" and the man goes "are you sure because you said the name better than I did I think this is Dr Azadeh you better tell me who you are" like what?! I'm a night shift nurse and I'm trying to sleep but you literally called me over 20 times. They're lucky I don't report them to the police for harassment. I would not take children here. read more

ok so it was a crazy visit, this being our second. the first visit was more of an assessment. my six year old got two extractions, a crown & a filling. a lot for a little kid. & yes the appointment was long. we arrived at 9am & left around 2:15. so being on an empty stomach, under different kinds of sedatives she's never had before (laughing gas + oral) was very foreign. she was doing really well a couple hours in. & Dr. Erica & the assistants were working very hard. Dr. Erica did suggest she wrap it up as certain procedures once started must be completed but of course i suggested we knock it all out as more was completed than not & it is expensive (i have MediCal). that day i wished i had listened to her but now i am glad it's all taken care of. i want to commend the staff for being so warm, encouraging & their hard work in general. all the staff i encountered as well as my daughter were so sweet & did their best to make us both comfortable. about halfway through my girl did fall asleep (she obviously needed it, that is a LOT of work to have done in one day) & they made sure to give her blankets & plenty of time to rest before finishing up. personally i have severe dental anxiety & wish i had done more research as to what was being done, how & why. i put my trust in their expertise. the recovery was actually much faster than i anticipated. my daughter was feeling better that night & the next day quite quickly. i did give her some ibuprofen the first two days as needed. i especially wanted to thank Sandy at the front who put a lot of effort into checking dates for a potential appointment switch. she also continued to respond to my questions via text late into the evening (about 4:45pm!) to get me the doctors note for school & a summary of our visit emailed. thank you so much Sandy! you are a gem & deserve recognition for your genuineness & efforts. thank you to all the staff for your hard work & empathetic support as this was a difficult day for my daughter & myself. at the end of the visit they gave her tokens to use at the big prize machine & gave her a sweet little gift for her bravery. honestly i'm so proud of my girl. & i wish my dentist was like this! i'd go here if i could.. why aren't things as cool for adults? lame. read more

We had a great experience with Dr Erica and her team. My son needed 3 cavities filled and during the filling, she also noticed he had an infected tooth. Dr Erica quickly came up with a plan to take care of all the problems in one visit. She made sure my son was comfortable the whole time and the front team, especially Kim, kept me in the loop for what my out of pocket cost would be. The cop day was very reasonable. Update we found a very honest dentist, my daughter did just fine without anesthesia or Xanax and it costed us 1/4 of what Little Hero's was going to charge. I'm guessing the good reviews are from people whose children don't need extensive dental work?? Also they charge you $50 to make an appointment. Not a "hold" they actually charge your card and after canceling I had to call twice to have the $50 refunded.... shady! read more

They had us wait for over 30 mins here and I was wondering why we had to wait for so long when there was no other patient in the clinic that time. And guess what? When they had you sign that new patient paperwork, there was a part that says "there will be a $25 payment for every 15 mins that the patient is late". Such a waste of time coming here because they didn't do anything to my child. The doctor only checked her teeth and didn't do cleaning. I've read several reviews that says the same thing and they will bill/charge the patient that they did it. I went to a pediatric dentist because I thought they will at least do some efforts to clean my child's teeth but I was wrong. I regret coming here. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY! read more

My 3 year old had her first dental visit this morning. Bianca gently cleaned her teeth then Dr. Wu checked her little mouth and completed xrays. A TV with netflix was mounted on the ceiling and i was allowed to hold her on the exam chair for comfort! (lol for me and her). At the end O was rewarded with a goodie bag, a butterfly, and a coin to use on the small toy vending machine! Everyone was very friendly and professional it was a very good experience. We've now had two visits to Little Heroes and both times, I'm thoroughly impressed. Growing up, I have horrible memories of the dentist and it was always very traumatic for me. The office is bright and colorful, its very welcoming. Our first visit was for routine cleanings. They were both called back within minutes of arrival. My oldest had a filling done on her second visit and again, we were called back within minutes of arrival. Dr. Wu was so great about showing her each tool and walking her through the procedure. I think Dr. Wu doesn't have enough knowledge and is willing to do anything for the children just for the convenience of his work. When I asked me if he wanted a nitrous oxide mask, I said no, she had given enough medicine to my son, and my son was a completely normal child, quite boy,And the doctor didn't start her work yet, she wanted to use that mask just for her own comfort. read more

We've been patients at Little Heros for the last 3 years, we've had 2 insurance changes and every time it's a huge hassle for their office team. We've had to reschedule at short notice because their staff didn't catch it until the day of, which is so annoying. I am finally writing this review because my son had to have 2 cavities filled this last Friday. Before treatment we signed off on what the out of pocket would be, however midway through the treatment an office admin came to the room where he's currently being treated and insisted that I re-sign on the out of pocket because they'd made a mistake. Seeing your young child get cavity treatment is stressful and I found this highly unprofessional. Not only that but the dentist and hygienist were there when this happened and no one said anything. I tried to address with the office staff when I left and felt dismissed that it was part of their process and there was nothing they could do when it was their mistake that caused my discomfort and unprofessional-ism. I would strongly recommend taking your child elsewhere. read more

Wow... the absolute BEST Pediatric Dentist! Staff are beautiful, genuine, friendly, helpful, and honest! Soooo, I was super skeptical about taking my daughter to just any dentist and honestly, I never even checked the reviews at this place but my three year old princess insisted we go as we were passing by (walking to Nothing Bundt Cake). She was immediately lured in by the cute little drawings of toothbrush and cartoons on their windows. As soon as we walked in, we were overwhelmed by the colorful, and very welcoming open space. The ladies at the front desk greeted us with big smiles and got us all checked in within a matter of minutes. (Walk in appointment) This was my daughter's first time at the dentist and I was NOT disappointed and neither was she. Dental assistant and dentist were super friendly with my daughter which made me feel comfortable. They also put on Jurassic Park for my daughter to watch while they cleaned her teeth. (Per my daughter's request!) I could keep going on with so many positive reviews but I think y'all get my point! Please check them out because your child will have an amazing time! Doctor and Staff are incredible. We've been taking our 8-year old daughter here since last year. My older daughter and I have been going to a different dentist since 2009. As much as we love his service, Anais needed more TLC specifically from a pediatric dentist. I came to find out that pediatric dentists study an additional 2-3 years to understand the temperament of children. SHE LOVES IT HERE! Unfortunately, she has had to have two teeth extracted on different occasions. This was new to our family's experience because my older child never needed such an invasive procedure. We tried the first time at my regular dentist four times until we gave up and decided to find Little Heroes. There are many pediatric dentists in South OC. Somehow LH just stood out and it has been the best decision that we've made for Anais. Dr. Azi is kind, compassionate and gentle with her adult and pediatric patients. It was finally time for me to take my son to his first dental appointment. I have to admit that I was not looking forward to booking him an appointment just because I couldn't find any good pediatric dentist within my network, so I had to bite the bullet and decided to pay out of pocket. I searched around Yelp and came across the Little Heroes page. I must admit that what initially attracted me to Little Heroes was the $75 for the initial visit offer, but also the pictures. The place looks extremely kid-friendly and clean! This was so important to me because my husband, bless his heart, but he booked an appointment for our son's first appointment a week prior to coming here and I had a BAAAAD feeling about that place. As my husband was about to fill out the paperwork, I told my husband to stop as (other than how disgusting the office looked), I googled that place and it said that 2 kids were killed in that office after a procedure. I showed the article to him and we got out. So, the appearances of how a business looks and feels is very important to me, as well as the positive reviews to back it up. Little Heroes really exceeded my expectations. Booking the appointment was a breeze and the staff was extremely helpful. I cannot forget that the place was clean and had a play area with plenty of toys, which put my son at ease because he didn't get too much of the jitters he would usually get before an appointment. When it came time for the actual appointment itself, the staff was great in getting my son comfortable. The staff was alsk understanding that this was a moment that I would like to record, so they never objected in filming and taking pictures. Of course the tooth cleaning and their inspection felt like a wrestling match as I had to hold him down at times, but the staff was gentle as possible. Overall an impressive experience as a parent because I felt at ease with everything about this place. I have literally been TURNED AWAY because my kids have such a hard time but at this place they work with them like no other. My daughter has been going to Little Heroes for about 2 years, the staff has been great and made her experiences good ones; however, I'm sad that we just received a bill in the mail for her last cleaning and it stated " not eligible for cleaning". Our insurance covers her cleanings every 6 months. Turns out we were scheduled for our appointment 9 days prior to her 6 month check up. Ultimately, it is our responsibility to make sure we meet our insurance guidelines, but this is the first time in my life that my dentist hasn't made us aware when we made the appointment! I'd assume it is a practice courtesy to make sure the client doesn't arrive outside of their insurance guidelines. To say i was disappointed is an understatement. I thought this was the bare minimum practice for dental offices. Lesson learned. I should also note that they day wave the fee for an additional service they provided on my daughter as this service was done without informing me it was an extra cost. Just beware when you attend that they are firm on not owning the responsibility of informing you of when you may be too early for an appointment (9 days) and your insurance will not cover the costs. read more

Carina and Ashley were able to calm my son down so effortlessly before his procedure and Dr.Azi is a magician at what she does! My son didn't even feel a thing! Wonderful kid-focused dental office. In searching for a dentist for our 7 year old son, we wanted to find a place that was geared specifically to children (our previous dentist was a family practice and we wanted an establishment focused and geared toward the little patients and their needs). Important to us was not only the competence, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff and the atmosphere of the office, but also how the overall office is catered to the family. Parents are not only allowed, but WELCOME into the big open rooms with their child(ren) during their appointments (only one parent is allowed during more major procedures such as extractions, etc.), which was a big deal for us as we like to keep an eye on our little guy. Dr. Azi, Nari and Kimberly are all very warm, friendly and welcoming. The treatment rooms are open, colorful and equipped with chairs for the parents as well as ceiling TVs so the kids can watch their favorite shows on demand! ;) Communication on an upcoming extraction procedure was very well detailed through an email with Nari, and she even followed up with a phone call to check up on our son after his big appointment. All the boxes are checked with this place. We are so happy we found Little Heroes. Thank you, Dr. Azi for creating this amazing place! read more
