The best restaurants seem to be little hole in the wall shops like this one. This appears to have previously been a gas station in its former life, but you wouldn't know it once you step foot in the door. We were warmly greeted upon entry, though it was our first time here, and once we took a look at the daily specials on the board, we quickly decided on what we were ordering. My wife ordered the lasagna and salad, and I ordered the stuffed shells and garlic bread. The lady that took our order made mention several times that everything was homemade. I have no idea if that is true or not, but I'm kind of believing it to be, as my stuffed shells tasted a bit salty (which I didn't mind), but my wife's lasagna definitely had a home cooked taste to it, and it was also delicious! The only reason I'm knocking one star off, however, is because, upon paying with a credit card, they require you to add a tip with the card (you cannot bypass this and pay the tip with cash, that's unfortunately a byproduct of the service they use for processing card payments), and the tipping percentage starts at 22% and goes up from there. Kind of ridiculous, if you ask me. I'll need to remember to bring cash next time... because there will definitely be a next time. I've purchased many spaghetti with meat sauce dinners at this Little Italy over the years. MANY! I've always said that Little Italy and Olive Garden were the only places I would order spaghetti with meat sauce, one of my favorite dishes. On Wednesday the 26th We stoped for a take out order. I ordered that dish as usual, but when I got home and started to eat it, to my surprise it was uneatable. VERY SALTY! COULD NOT EAT! THREW AWAY! We text the resaurant and let them know to taste the sauce. We never heard back from them. I will never again go back to that Little Italy. They should have got back to me at the least. The main thing we look for in a restaurant is the taste and consistency. Very rude not to respond, tells me they just don't care about their customers enough to apoligize. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Great food and service. There was even an issue with the online payment and the guys behind the counter were very nice. They let us take our food home while it was still hot after we exchanged info. 45 minutes to get food, which was nothing to crow about. Over-fried, frozen "seafood". Small boli had about half of what should be in it, meaning half of it was bread on the ends. Ordered cheese fries for the kids, that took 20 minutes. $100 to get food I could get at any pizza joint. Owner needs to figure it out. read more

They are suffering from too few helpers and the service was slow. The food is good, pretty standard but the portions are generous. I wish they used less styrofoam and plastic! Absolutely the BEST italian food anywhere!! Been here several times before...just got tuna salads and pizza, both excellent. Went there today with our 2 grandchildren. I got a capicolla sub, wife got tuna salad, and kids got broccoli cheese alfredo and the other got spaghetti w/ meatballs. Everything was SUPERB for sure. The grandkids raved about the taste. We stopped in on our way through PA. I ordered the pizza cheese steak, my friend picked the cheese steak with added mayonnaise. The cheese was melted to perfection, the meat was not fatty, well seasoned. The homemade bun bread was perfect, soft inside with just the right amount of crunch on the outside. We split an order of onion rings - they aren't homemade but the batter made them taste like they were. The lady behind the counter was pleasant, informative about the menu, and the food was ready quickly. Was less than $20 for the two of us to leave stuffed like ticks! Bathroom was clean, and cute, with two toilets because they had removed a wall to make it truly wheelchair accessible. Having a handicapped mother, I appreciate that, and the sturdy grab bar. I can't take my mom to a lot of non chain restaurants, but I could bring her here. Also there is a small outdoor seating area, which would be nice in summer. read more

I've driven past this place for years, and now kick myself for not trying it out sooner. Great smell hits as you walk in. Staff are helpful and friendly. I can hear the person talk across the table (no loud blaring music or bad acoustics). Now, the food. Fresh bread. Ordered pene pasta with meat sauce and meatballs. Generous portion and so yummy. My dad had a loaded steak & cheese sub (it was great according to him)....and best fries ever. We are looking forward to trying more on the menu. We noticed healthy carry out traffic. Horrible experience. Family of 4 ordered salads and a veggie Stromboli. Stromboli came out with meat. Made by the owner. I asked for a refund and the proper replacement. I explained that my family would be finished eating by the time a replacement was made. He agreed and said I can make you one "five minutes" I waited 20 more minuets asking the waitress if he made it and she said "no" So I sat 20 extra minutes for no reason. He wasn't willing to replace. He was ignorant and was not affected by this review. He was also scrolling on his phone between orders without washing his hands. Think twice before dining here. This place has the best ambiance for locals to meet and share a beer and conversation and watch your favorite game.It is very clean and the service is excellent with friendly people. The prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately I had to give it 3 stars because although the food is cooked fresh to order it was disappointingly bland and not up to the standards of a good Italian restaurant. (I didn't have pizza so that could be better than what we ordered) I had eggplant Parmesan that was a full plate and cooked well but was tasteless. It came with spaghetti and Marinara sauce. The sauce on both plates was well below par. The sauce slid off the spaghetti and there was water in the bottom of the plate suggesting the pasta wasn't well drained. I'd suggest the chef or owner find a better recipe for the sauce so it had more body and flavor, is less acidic and clings to the spaghetti. Even if they had to up the price of the meal it would be worth it. My husband had a chicken Parmesan sandwich. The roll was excellent but because the same subpar marinara sauce smothered the chicken it took away from the enjoyment of the dish. We will try the pizza soon. read more

This little Italian restaurant about 10 miles West of Gettysburg on Route 30 is the real deal.Never ever had better French fries.The cheese steak sandwich was delicious with onions,mushrooms and the steak nice and tender.Very good coffee but had no more room for one of there Italian desserts.Will be back for sure. read more

It's almost impossible to get decent pizza out in rural Pennsylvania, so this place is like a little ray of saving grace out here. It's real pizza, like I used to get up in New Haven and New York - thin, just a little bite of crisp in the crust, and real cheese. The casual eatery ambience might not be right for every dining occasion, but if you don't care so much about that as you do about great pizza, it's the only place for a long way around. read more
