I have had my child enrolled at this daycare for 3 years. I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about this institution and the providers that run it. They go above and beyond when it comes to the children there. Licensed and they continue to meet all criteria set by DOH. The daycare is clean, caring and serves nutritional, freshly prepared meals daily - not many daycares do this and it is such a huge help to not have to pack food everyday. My child has thrived in this environment from day 1. She has learned to be kind yet confident. She is educated developmentally and emotionally. It takes a village to raise a child (especially when both parents work) and I couldn't be more grateful for the support and care they have provided us over the years. We would truly be lost without Little One's! Lastly, reviews written by the same person years apart even after the claims were deemed unsubstantiated and were dismissed is just wrong and hateful. We have been sending our son to little ones for over two years now, since he was 8 months old, and have nothing but amazing things to say about Leanne and her staff. I take serious issue with the two reviews below. First, they aren't real. I know the names of the mothers of all the families who attend(ed) Little Ones and not one mother is or was named Jennifer or Jessica. Second, they are completely contradictory (they clean too much but the place is dirty so children catch the flu). However, instead of picking apart how ridiculous and unfair the reviews below are, I will write what I can tell you from personal experience at this daycare. Leanne and her staff love my son like he is one of their own. They know him so well that when he's even a little bit off she lets me know so I am aware of it. The kids eat fresh food. My son loves the homemade marinara sauce Leanne makes from the garden veggies she works with the kids to grow. Do they have snacks at celebrations, of course they do. They are kids. A little treat to celebrate a birthday is fun! My son counted to ten in Spanish the other day (we did not teach him that) and he knows yoga poses sometimes teaching me when I am doing it wrong. Leanne or her manager, who has been there since before we started there, are always at the daycare. The kids are never left unattended with people you don't know. Never, period. My son has excelled at Little Ones. He talks up a storm and plays so well with other kids. He is very well adjusted and since he is at daycare every day of every week, I give Leanne and her staff credit for that too. There is not a doubt in my mind that Little Ones keeps my son in good hands. read more

It's sad when you see people trying to smear the good name and reputation of a person/center on these review boards. The one star reviews below are baseless and unfounded. Both of my children go to Little Ones Early Learning, so I have been around the facility, it's staff, and the fellow families for almost 3 years. I have nothing but good things to say about our experiences thus far. From the loving and caring staff, to the fun atmosphere with both play and learning, to the amazing meals prepared for breakfast lunch and dinner. My children are happy, thriving, and most of all, excited about going to school. They cherish their teachers as well as all of their friends and it feels more like a family than a daycare. My child was in this daycare for a few months. Initially when we interviewed it seemed like a dream come true. The owner tells you everything you want to hear: kids eat healthy home cooked organic food, do yoga, learn languages etc. as we had bad experiences at large centers, a home daycare seemed like a much better and safer choice. Not the case as we learned. Initially, everything seemed to be going well, my child seemed happy and things seemed to be close to what was promised. Then all the illness began. Flu followed by strep followed by ear infections x 3 followed by stomach bug, all in the span of 3 months. Now I know kids get sick easier in daycares, but my little one is no stranger to germs as I mentioned we were in a much larger facility prior to this with WAY less sickness. I made friendly with some of the staff and began picking my child up at various times trying to hang around a bit each time. I was shocked at what I saw and heard. Kids don't wash their hands at all! Not even once per day, they are cleaned with baby wipes! Can you imagine cleaning toddlers hands with baby wipes and considering them sanitized?!? I saw employees changing children as well with no gloves and no hand washing in between, going right from a toddler to a 8 week old infant. Kids crawling on the floor where EVERYONE is walking with outside shoes! I heard there was an outbreak of pinworms twice before we started! One morning I came early and saw a random man coming out of the house, I tried to inquire about who he was and the owner lost it on me. In the few months my child was there, staff changed several times, no effort made to tell parents or introduce us. And anytime I inquired I'd get a short response. Food was another issue, at $100 per week for a 28 pound toddler you would imagine the best food was being served. Nope not here, everything is frozen! Frozen lasagne, frozen meatballs etc not even fresh fruit! Canned fruit full of syrup. Constant Oreos and candy being served. To be honest i think the focus is on making money and not good childcare at all. The owner seems interested only in kicking you out of the house so she can attend various things for her son. There were several occasions when I came to drop off or pick up my child and the owner wouldn't be here, I'd hear she took her kid camping or for day trips to various places without informing the parents and leaving the staff short handed. The staff is forced to clean the owners house top to bottom while the children are left outside (even when it is too cold by law to have them out there) or in front of the tv for hours (verified by my child who is older and very with it). My other concern is record keeping, I was never asked for updated vaccine records etc If is bring them I'd get a blank stare. Who knows how many of the children and staff for that matter are even up to date on vaccines. My overall Recommendations are avoid this place at all costs. My son attended this daycare for a few months. After intense research we finally selected this place and felt we had made a great choice. Unfortunately, things did not go so well. When my son began I brought in all the required paperwork as well as his vaccination records. I noted that the owner just jammed them into a folder without even looking at them. It was concerning as it made me wonder how many other times has she done that and missed pertinent information. About 2 months after my son began I noted a very ill appearing child while dropping him off. When I questioned the manager she told me "the parents had to work". Sure enough a few days later multiple kids became ill and some developed ear infections requiring antibiotics. I brought my concerns up to the owner as I wanted to know if it is the standard policy to allow sick children to come in. She got very defensive and said "don't threaten my business". I began looking at other options for childcare immediately as this did not sit well with me. In the interim I noted some other very concerning things as I began to show up at random times to pick up my son. The staff spends hours cleaning the owners house, they are nearly more like a cleaning company than child minders. Though I appreciate things being sanitized I do not think its appropriate to do so at the childrens expense. The kids are left in front of the TV for hours while the place is cleaned. You would think the bathroom would be a hot spot for cleaning but nope. I noted several occasions where children used the potty one after the other without it being cleaned. Also the changing table was used to clean infants and toddlers with no sanitizing in between. Staff changing kids without gloves or washing their hands. Children are not made to wash their hands either. Don't even get me started on the food. For $100 per week you would expect the best of the best. Not here! The kids are fed an array of frozen food (meatballs, lasagna). Not even fresh fruit is provided they are given canned fruit with syrup! Barely anything organic like we were promised. My son was given oreos nonstop, sometimes 8-10 per day (the owner told me that herself) when I clearly stated I did not want him having a lot of sweets. The owner is gone nonstop off doing stuff with her kid and his friends while the staff is left understaffed with multiple infants. For 26k ($500 per week including food) per year you would expect the best care but your child won't get that here. In the short time we were here multiple new staff members came and went. Absolutely no attempt was made to notify the parents not even an introduction. Who knows if they are even screened. The owners boyfriend is constantly in and out of the home, also no introduction to him. I recommend looking elsewhere as this is not a safe nurturing environment for children. read more
