Had our first play date here with some friends and it was such a nice time. It's great to get out of our normal routine, especially as a stay at home mom, we're usually always home in the same environment, same toys - so it was fun to be in a different space, different toys, with other babies for my little guy to interact with. We went on a day where we did open play but there was also music and movement, and we loved it! We got to play and roam about, then changed up the pace for some music and interaction for 30 mins. My little guy didn't make it all the way through, as it was nap time - but he had a blast! It really tuckered him out. We will definitely be back for some more play and socializing. read more

They have a little grocery store, kitchen, classroom, doctors office, office, construction area, a temporary pirate area and a few more. When we come my son leaves happy and takes a great nap on the way home. I like that it is never busy and there is a cap on the amount of kids that can play. My only gripe with this location is its $22 for an hour and a half of play when I could go to the glazer museum that is the same distance from my house. They are pretty similar except the glazer museum has much more to do for $20. read more

Lots of different little rooms for them to play in. It's a big space so it didn't feel crowded when we went. We also went Sunday morning when they opened so it wasn't busy. The workers there are really nice. There's also a lactation room next to the bathrooms. For $20, this is a great way for the little ones to spend 90 minutes! I booked our session the day before and arrived right on time for the first session of the day (9 am). My toddler had a lot of fun cruising through Little Play Place on a gloomy Tuesday morning. I think his favorite room was the Little Learning Room (second room on the left when you walk in). There were a variety of pattern puzzles, including magnetic letters on a whiteboard and books. My only complaint was that they don't allow adults to bring drinks through the play place while they monitor and interact with their little one. I had just purchased a venti cold brew something or other and was excited to just enjoy the next hour and a half before heading to the gym, but I was told I could not bring it in with me. Super bummer. I was able to leave the play place and sneak a gulp every so often, but it was not an ideal scenario. Going back to the interactive exhibits...there are even handy baskets for you to place items that need sanitization (perhaps if they have been dropped, or licked by the babies). I felt the basket idea was very handy but at the same time, they are so discreet that I only noticed one because an attendant pointed it out. Towards the end of our session the attendant let us know that there would be sensory play in the back room. I was super reluctant to go into a back room not knowing how my little boy would handle it, but we went anyway and I am glad we did! My boy is just over age 2 and he acclimated well to playing around a baby pool filled with blue rice. I could tell that the girl working was very passionate about her work and she was very skilled at working with little ones. When sensory play was winding down, I was able to pull him from the venue without a kicking and screaming fight! Always a win for mommy! Overall, we enjoyed our visit. I don't know that I would sign up for one of the packages. I sort of felt like if you've seen it once, you've pretty much seen it; but I know my child would self-indulged multiple times here if I let him! Definitely recommend! read more

Highly recommend this place for a little ones. We don't go on many playdates as my daughter is still an infant so this was a great way for her to interact with other kids. cleverly designed with lots of mini rooms including a mini house, equipped with a kitchen living room bbq area , a grocery store, hair salon, office , learning area , doctors office , soccer arena , a private play area for two and under, and a couple other rooms we didn't get to. Playtime needs to be reserved in advance. I believe there is 20 Max ,price is about $18-$19 per play session which last for an hour and half . I believe there are packages you can purchase for discounts . everything was clean , super creative, and well thought out. I'm learning that you can also host birthday parties here. Definitely will be back for indoor activity to beat the Florida heat. read more

I have to say this is the cutest place ever. If you have small children, I highly suggest this indoor play place. It is amazing. Cleanliness is very important and they make sure to keep everything clean and orderly. So no worries there. The place is set up in different stations. So your child will never be bored. My granddaughter who is 4 asks every day if we can go back. She loved it. The sections as I remember are house, grocery store, learning center, beauty shop, office, doctors office, restaurant, construction site, and pirate ship. There are tons of toys in each section and even dress up clothes to fit the theme. I kid you not... it is very interactive and loads of fun. I even had fun myself. Why 5 stars? Because we may have just discovered our son's favorite place on Earth. --- --- --- Before having a child, this would have been a business I would have driven past 4,000 times and not even noticed. Now, my eyes almost popped out of my head with excitement the day I saw the sign go up. We would have definitely visited sooner if it weren't for COVID-19, but we were happy to get a spot last minute on a rainy Saturday morning. My wife handled signing us up for the 9a-1030a on Saturday morning at about 730a that same morning. I'm not sure if it's normally that easy to get into a class less than 2 hours beforehand, but we were pretty stoked about it. We've already been racking our brains for new things to keep him entertained and the options are so limited when rain is in the forecast for the majority of the day. During these times, the first thing they do is take everyone's temperature and ask you to walk directly to the restroom to wash everyone's hands. After that, the kids are free to roam. Our son, who is 1.5, was at a maximum level of happiness from the moment we put him down until 10:15a. He went frantically from toy to toy without stopping and had the energy of someone who just chugged 5 Red Bull's. The intricacy of these toys is incredible. They have a whole grocery section with empty boxes and bottles of real groceries. They even paint the inside of the bottles to make them look full (i.e. the Ketchup is still red). There are different themed rooms: there's an office with an actual (not functioning) Apple Computer. There's a hair and makeup room. There's a room full of tool and construction toys. There's one smaller fenced in room that's better for the younger kids but still enjoyed by ours. I can't stress this enough - imagine heaven for 1-3 year olds: this is it. The only negative to the whole experience is that at 10:15a, he walked to the door and asked to leave. It was like in one moment, he snapped into over-stimulated mode. He was pretty crabby for the next couple of hours until his nap. But for all we know, the crab coming out may have had nothing to do with that - parents of young children know that there doesn't always need to be an excuse for a fit. Just this week, we've gotten a completely different child every other day after daycare. I only throw out that he *may* have been over-stimulated in case any parents are worried about that kind of thing and want to watch for those signs. After 15 minutes, I asked my wife if there was such a thing as a season pass. We will definitely be back. Often. read more

Amazing place to host a birthday party. Apparently I'm just about a year and a half discovering this place after Brett N. I'm sure he told me about it and I ignored him, so here we are. We were invited to come here for a birthday party. She rented out the entire place for her son and when I learned the cost, let me just say it is super reasonable. I may host my birthday parties here from here on out. The entire place is super clean, which is great during a pandemic. Workers were going behind kids and disinfecting things. There were tons of little rooms where kids could pretend to be all sorts of things, like hairdressers, construction workers, doctors, etc. There's a room in the back for parties. My son is three and he had the best time. There's even a little area in the front where babies can hang out and they have a nursing room. My son played here for hours and never got bored. It's stimulating without being overwhelming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. read more

Looking for a nice indoor play space to escape the Florida heat for young children? This place is perfect! They limit the amount of guests so that it doesn't get overcrowded and overwhelming. There's different play sessions that you can sign up for online. As for safety, there's a gate at the entrance that keeps children from wandering off without their parents. You can also hear a bell sound whenever someone walks through the front door. Love all the little zones and the cards that encourages imaginative play with parents and caregivers. My oldest (4) loves the shopping area, office and construction zone. My youngest (1) loves riding on the different cars, grocery shopping and playing in the construction zone. Since I'm still breastfeeding my 1 year old, I love that there's a nursing room to relax. It's also perfect for moms who need to pump. There's an outlet, pumping bags and water available. Need a break to feed your little one? There's an area out front with tables, chairs and high chairs to eat comfortably. Forgot to bring snacks from home? Love love love this little play place! I took my 15 month old and she had so much fun at the different play stations. You can definitely take a child up to 7 years old to enjoy some pretend fun. It's $15 per child for 90 minutes. Adults are free with a child's admission. I just love that because I can't understand why other places charge parents: there is nothing for adults to do and the kids need adults to get there. I believe there are 10 play stations with numerous items to stimulate the little ones. There is so much creativity at each station, they really thought about different aspects; from a grocery store to a medical office, they will be occupied. Some other tidbits: There is one small area where no shoes are allowed. They have lockers to put your baby bags so you don't have to log it around. Although the Little Play Place is a young business, there is a reason why this small business has exploded and done so well. The customer service is amazing, every time I call the helping hands are always so kind and very understanding on how being a parent can be. They are amazing with children and always excited to see the little ones come in. The play area is always very clean, maintained and ready for my little one's imagination to run wild! There's so many options for your young ones to play with and there's even an area for the even younger babies (younger than 1) to hang out in and have fun in. Most places here in Tampa don't have an option like that for the little littles. I've lived coming here since day one and look forward to many other play dates! read more

Little Play Place is great! It's my go-to place with my grandkids! It is very organized and well set up with separate spaces for creative play -- house, grocery store, cafe, ... and much more. And is just right to encourage imaginative play!!! Professional staff instructs classes after the open play periods, and maintains orderly / very positive environment. It has been so good for my grandson as a 1-2 year old. His experience there has helped him to learn to play with others & gain confidence around other kids. Now almost 3 my grandson has benefited greatly from music/movement & sensory play classes. He'll be ready for preschool this Fall. An amazing find and experience! Visiting the area for a week and found this gem of a place for our 3 year old and 1 year old to play. Way better than going to a children's museum! Everything is carefully thought out to the nines. They are a new business, but know their stuff. It is extremely clean. There are sanitizing stations throughout. There is a beautiful nursing room and the bathrooms are impeccable. Everything is organized and in the right place. There is so much to do and the 90 minutes fly by, which is why we waited in their cool lobby area, bought a few toys and went back for a second session. There is a house station; a sensory station; a classroom; a marketplace; a salon; a doctors office; a work office; a cafe; a construction site; a flower shop; a calm station and I'm sure I'm missing a few more. We are thankful for their incredible courtesy and extreme thoughtfulness not only in their customer service, but in the layout, design and details that every child will enjoy immensely! I found this place on a whim last weekend. It took me way too long to get out the door for church so I skipped church and just kept driving north on Dale Mabry. I have two boys; a 3.5 year old and 11 month old. The little one is at a tough age because he wants to move/explore but usually I have to wear him so I can keep track/chase the 3.5 year old. That can be tough at bigger places like the Glazer Children's Museum or Bounce Houses and then the little guy doesn't get to play much. Well, that's not an issue here! There is a little kid play area at the front and then the rest of the space is divvied up (open concept as much as possible so you can see your kids no matter where you're at) into places like a grocery store, barber, office, etc. Both kids were enamored and the almost 1 year old got to ride a y-bike around so he got the explore way more than the little kid area. They cap it at 90 min of play and 30 kids at a time so never gets to crowded. I love this! Recommend scheduling your play session online before you head in so you can maximize play time and see how busy it will be before you even get there. There's a nursing room there and they are closed every Monday for cleaning (yay!)! I am huge fan and will def be back. First time in a long time I left a place like that with both kiddos and wasn't completely overwhelmed or ready for a nap myself...Thank you Robin and Rayna! read more

The woman with long hair employed there that does the cleaning up always seems so angry and bothered by the fact that children are using the toys and she has to pick up. Little Play Place Staff, Really disappointed that I wasn't given the opportunity to change my play time or at least get some of my money back. I've never booked with you guys and thought it would be fun. But an hour after booking my one year old puked all over me. I searched high and low (I'm sure it's in the fine print somewhere) about a cancellation fee and didn't see one. Even when I cancelled it didn't even tell me the fee I would be charged until after I hit the "cancel" button. That whole process has left a bad taste in my mouth. So not only did I cancel my spot (and wasn't given any kind of partial return) you also filled our spot (or maybe not) and basically made double off one spot. I'm not even giving this a second chance. It just seems like bad customer service all the way around. We will take our business else where. read more

I've been here twice in two days so I figured that means I should write a review. I have a 12 month old and a 2.5 year old so we are all always looking for places to play. What a wonderful concept- a well thought out, safe place for children to use their imagination and play with toys they usually don't get to use.
