It's $10/mo or $99/yr and you get 40% off all of their bestselling books (rotates weekly), 20% off everything else, and free drip coffee! If you're a big book buyer, that is soooo worth it! Or if you just love visiting coffee shops, the coffee would be worth it! They have several little tables and chairs around where you can perch to do some work. As I pulled into the parking lot, I didn't have many expectations. However, when I walked through the door, I was quickly proven incorrect! TYB is a cute, quaint bookstore that is filled with a great amount of books by genre and for a variety of readers. The staffer that was there was extremely helpful and happy to share some ideas for the book for me to purchase. I was in need of a book for my work travel, since I'd accidentally read my book too fast and did not bring up a backup book (rookie mistake). I perused the romance section, new releases, sale section, staff picks, and every nook and cranny of the bookstore. I finally settled on a new release, which was actually a signed copy -- bonus for me! I also snagged a really cute book for me (soon to be) nephew, as I've been building out his library as I've been building out mine with my independent book store visits! The bran muffin, which was my attempt to be healthy, was really a delicious stand-out. I would definitely get that again. And, of course, the breakup cookies are some of the best cookies in town. They bake all of the baked goods in-house, I believe, which gets a round of applause from me. A lot of the recipes are still the same ones I remember from 7 years ago. One thing I noticed that's even BETTER than I remember was the books and gift selection. A lot of the books caught my eye. I found their website in a Google search because I was looking for a signed addition of Bryan Stephenson's Just Mercy. I couldn't believe my luck when the signed edition was the same price as any other unsigned copy. I had stumbled upon a treasure trove of fantastic books all signed by their authors selling for the standard list price. Of course they have some extra special books that are collectors items and a bit more expensive. Those are featured on a different part of their website. Today I opened my signed copy of Jon Meacham's "And There Was Light". It's the perfect gift for book reading friends. One day I plan to make a pilgrimage to the store and actually shop in person. Until then I will continue to receive their emails and check their website.
