DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL! My wife tried to sign up my son for a soccer class but it would not let her due to the crappy website. When I tried to sign up it signed my son up for an August camp instead of the June class I had selected. The owner Jen then tells us we cannot switch and charges us a mandatory $50 cancelation fee. There is something really scammy going on here. How can you sign us up for an August camp in the middle of my sons school day then not let us switch to something that we are actually available for? If you look at the website there are entire unhinged paragraphs about charging $50 fees, which apparently gives the owner the right to scam you out of $50. When you talk to her on the phone she is also incredibly hostile and rude. Please save yourself the headache of getting scammed and choose another soccer school, there are plenty of other options out there read more

I cannot say enough good things about this program. We have been a part of Little Rascalz for 2 years now. My 4-year old joined just after turning 2 and we adore the coaches as well as the program. We play year-round and participate in summer camp. Class days/times can fit in anyone's schedule. They promote safety and fun, and soccer skills. Almost more importantly, they teach listening and working together. The coaches are all phenomenal, and so kind. Coach Jess, Coach Meredith, Coach Rick and Coach Rob have instilled confidence into my kiddo. The coaches always greet the kids by name and are really so very good with them. My son is on the younger side, and for 3 weeks that have taken extra time to engage him and make sure he plays along. Today coach Rick said something like "I'm so glad you are here" and my son came running to tell me. This is just one of 1000 stories I could tell. In a crazy world, where everyone complains and there are so many unkind words, it's amazing to watch these coaches laugh, play, teach valuable skills, and love on these kiddos! My child enjoyed her time in this program, the coaches Abby and Andrew were very nice and knew their stuff. However, we will not be returning. There was a problem in the initial days of the camp, because it was a joint program with Dance to Evolve: both crews thought the other one was providing the lunch break, so neither did. For two days a whole group of 4/5 year olds staying at camp 9am-3:30pm didn't have lunch time. When I reached out by email to make a complaint, I was faced with crassness and denial from Jen of Little Rascalz (who might or might not be Beth, the owner, signing with a different name). The Dance to Evolve team responded fine and the problem was corrected. I think a great way of judging a business's character is to see how it responds to constructive criticism. This is a great program, although there is room for improvement in customer service. Seeing how the owner dismisses every negative comment in this thread is an example of how she handles complaints: no apologies or acknowledgment, just rude snap back. I expect a similar reaction to my review... If you end up having a problem, you will have to deal with this person and it won't be pleasant. read more

5 stars for Little Rascalz! Our daughter has enjoyed their mommy'n'me class, and then recently graduated on to their regular class (non-parent participation). We've appreciated how they are COVID conscious and communicate well. Class sizes are small compared to other options that we saw when looking around. We had a blast in the mommy'n'me class and our daughter is getting used to the non-parent participation class. She's on the younger side but is showing improvement. Shout out for Coach Jess - she is amazing! She subbed one mommy'n'me class one week and went out of her way to compliment our daughter after class and say she was probably ready for the next level. Coach Jess is so patient and kind with the kiddos, even when the 3-5 year olds have their heads in the clouds or are picking flowers rather than focusing on their soccer skills (which is pretty much a constant). No negativity and lots of positive with the kiddos. Coach Jess creatively teaches skills through fun games and challenges. My daughter is showing growth in soccer skills and we are so pleased she can interact with other kiddos her age in a safe, fun, and positive environment. Eta: our daughter is now 5.5 and the coaches are as fabulous as ever. Coach Rob is amazing- he knows all the kids' personalities by heart and magically tailors his approach accordingly. He finds a way to connect with and include ea child in every single drill and activity. I feel SUPER safe with our daughter re-starting now (July 2020). They observe all the precautions that even the most COVID-concerned parents could wish for. I just wish they had more summer camps in addition to our usual weekly summer session class. Little Rascalz is the very best soccer program for young children! My daughter briefly took classes a few years ago and we are now back with my son and he absolutely loves it! It is the perfect amount of time for his age (3) and he is fully engaged the entire time. Coaches are fun, enthusiastic and encouraging. Nothing has changed in Merediths class to take preventive measures against covid transmission. None of the kids sanitize their hands prior to play as stated they would in LR email. None of them wear masks. No social distancing whatsoever..Meredith has them all piled on top of each other in the goal! Not one single reminder to keep a little space. Still razzing her tongue with spit flying everywhere. Then there are the dirty pennies that every kid is touching and pulling over their face/mouth/nose!! We've had our children in LR classes for literally years now and sadly we won't be returning. Really disappointed in the lack of responsibility!! read more

Effective & truly noncompetitive sports as stated on Little Rascalz web site - IT IS NOT. You may register online, pay, turn up, participate. But when an aggressive parent who did not get his kid in the class he wanted, complains..... Little Rascals make up stories and expect your kids to move aside from this "non-competitive" activity to satisfy a more competitive angle, which unlike I was told by coach Betty, was not the decision of the coach....it was a convenient decision. coach Ratio may be right for begginer classes, not at all so in the last two classes with Ratio of 1 to 9. My 2 1/2 year old tried the soccer program with little rascalz as his first sports experience. I'm not sure if he was too young or if sports are just not his thing, but he hated going each and everytime. My son is usually outgoing and pretty active but there was something about soccer he didn't like. The coaches were very nice and tried (as best they could) to give my son some individual attention despite his refusal to participate. Not only until our 5th week class (of an 8 week program) did one of the coaches suggest that the "mommy and me" classes might be better for my son. By then we figured it was too late to start a new class with only three more sessions to go. The website does state there is a money back guarantee, but no later than two weeks into the program. After two weeks, its too late for a refund. It was obvious to the coaches that my son did not enjoy his experience, even though we gave it more than two weeks to give him a chance get used to it. We thought after a few sessions he's get into soccer. We thought wrong and we were unable to get a refund. Other than our experience, watching the other children engage in the activities were fun and they seemed to enjoy it! read more

We were visiting my brother and his daughter was going to a class so they let Izzy join the class. What a great class! My daughter loved kicking the ball and took to the coaches instruction immediately. They know how to engage the kids and try to herd them as best they can but still there were stragglers or the occasional run to mommy. I liked how they were able to take the fun parts of being a kid yelling, jumping, being silly to get the kids comfortable and then praising all the small accomplishments. This is a great program for the little ones. My boy started at age 2 1/2. It was the first time he participated in any organized activity. He had never been to pre-school either. It was a great experience for him. The coaches are so much fun. The activities are a great introduction into sports. And there is no sense of competition. The ration of coaches to students is good. 1 coach per 5 kids (max). The ratio of soccer balls to students is even better: about 10 to 1!!! It's so cute watching them scramble all over the field. We have gone through several session of soccer and one of T-ball. We LOVE it! Our kids LOVE it! They have so much fun playing the games and doing the drills I don't even think they realize the important soccer skills they are learning during the process. And Coach Curtis for T-ball, they don't get anymore genuine than him. He is so kind with the kids and speaks to them directly, not like little babies/kids which I know my boys really appreciate. He is the BEST! I've even been to a birthday party that Little Rascalz put together for a friend. They were very organized and the kids had a blast trying all the different kinds of sports. We are on the last weeks of our first session, and we love the program. We're already signed up for another two months. The coaches are patient with the kids and very funny. Their soccer practice sessions focus on coordination, teamwork, and mastery of specific skills. This is the best program I have found for my 3 year old son--and I have dabbled quite a bit in various extracurricular activities with him. Also good to know, this school offers a military discount--which I really appreciate! My son really enjoys the tag-style soccer activities and looks forward to each week's sports practice. We do the Mommy and Me class and though he may not listen or follow half of the directions (he's 22 months) he can't wait for the class each week. The smile on his face is enough to make me love this program. Personally, I wasn't sure what to expect as this last session was our first interaction with Little Rascalz. I had a few issues with changes and what-not and I emailed to discuss them. The response really couldn't have been nicer. I was literally blown away with the customer service. I have been taking my nephew to Little Rascalz in Point Loma and then North PB, for 2yrs now. He started when he was 3yrs old. We absolutely LOVE the program. All of the coaches are so great with children. My nephew loves Coach Karen and though we have since moved on to another coach as he got older, he still talks about her! I just started taking my very busy 2 1/2 year old boy to the soccer lessons. I love it because besides de soccer "skills" that he may develop it's a great way to learn SOCIAL skills. At this stage, that is VERY important to me. So he has fun burning some energy while he continues to learn to follow directions from the couches and get along with the other little guys. Our son joined Little Rascalz 4 years ago when he was 2.5 years old. He and our family absolutely love Little Rascalz and all the coaches we have had! Every single one of their coaches are above and beyond other coaches that we have met in all kinds of other sports that our kids are doing. The LIttle Rascalz coaches take time to get to know each child and approach every Rascal appropriately. They are extremely patient, sensitive and yet super fun and easy going. Throughout these years, we have come to think of these coaches as family members - they have gotten to know our son and his personality so well! We are forever grateful to coach Bethy, Staci, Jessica and the other Jessica, Lois, Summer, Meredith and others! The program itself is very thoughtful and masterfully crafted. It starts from the early age of 18 months by teaching basic movement and game principles in a super fun and engaging way (at this age it includes parents in the Mommy'n'Me classes) so that kids grow to love not only soccer but physical activity in general. Soccer rules and drills are gently introduced in a way appropriate to each age group's developmental level and attention span and after just a few sessions kids have already mastered real soccer skills without ever thinking about it! Our son is now in the Advanced class taught by the amazing pro soccer star coach Meredith and we are in awe of the progress he has made under her coaching. He is also playing at the DMCV Sharks rec league and he attribute his success there entirely to Little Rascalz. We have two more kids following in big brother's footsteps and we can't wait to get them hooked on soccer with Little Rascalz too! My husband and daughter are finishing up their first session, and have already signed up for the next. Our daughter is only 19 months old now, an it has been a great experience for her to play with other kids, and spend time with her dad. Granted our daughter would rather run through the tunnel than kick a soccer ball, but every week she has been getting better and more interested in the ball. I love to come at the end of class and watch our daughter with her dad play. This a well organized group with good parents and kids participating. Although this school was not the right fit for us, it's no one's fault (my kiddo is on the spectrum and has sensory sensitivities, so he just needs a different style/environment). All the other kids in the class seemed to be having a blast and it was super cute to watch them running around playing the fun little games the coach planned for each session. My son is in his 2nd session with Little Rascalz. He loves it! These coaches are obviously carefully selected. The coaches are great at getting the kids to work on gross & fine motor skills. We love Coach Beth, Smacky & everyone there. Especially, mr. Chris, he is very good at helping our son to engage into the game because he has a short attention span. The classes are fun, and they have classes all over North San Diego county. They have a very low coach/student ratio and are great at giving the kids individual attention. My 18m old son and I had the serendipitous luck of stumbling into this wonderful class today - he saw a pile of soccer balls (his favorite) and ran right to it, naturally! The coach, I believe it was Betty, was incredibly sweet and invited my son and I to attend the class. He had an absolute BLAST with the fellow toddlers and the various fun activities (parachute, bubbles, etc). We are moving up North but if not, I would definitely enroll in their program! LOVE Little Rascalz T-Ball program. My oldest son, Noah, has been involved with the camp since early last spring and he has not only learned so much about the sport, but made great friends and learned valuable lessons from the program.
