It turns out, we both did! I appreciated the welcoming employees, but they also didn't hover. We were able to stroll the property, and admire all of the beautiful plants. It was really peaceful. Although I didn't buy anything, I spotted a few things in the gift shop that will likely bring me back. I've heard that they host classes - wreath making, flower arrangements, etc. - and I would definitely sign up for something like that!

I was walking my dogs one day and walked by this place and fell in love. The vibes, immaculate, the people, wonderful, the plants? SO HEALTHY. Great place for buying seeds and for getting info on planting…read more The place is very small but they do a great job of keeping a great variety of seeds on hand. (Check out their website both for ordering online and for more information on the benefits of "sustainable" seeds.) They also sell home grown eggs; they even have a club you can join which guarantees you a certain number of eggs a month. I didn't get any of the eggs because we grow our own but from our conversation they clearly know chickens and eggs. They have great specials on seeds too; they have 99 varieties for $.99...so that is pretty cool. Also, talk to them about their grains. Most place don't carry grains but they have a great selection and can give you good advice on when and where to plant them and the best way to harvest them.

When I started using the feed it was obvious that the hole was from a rodent, the feed had paper shavings from the bag, and other questionable debris. Same visit I bought a bag of supplement, didn't notice until later that the expiration date was 12/25. I'm sure it's OK but makes me wonder how old some of the things they're selling are, and if outdates are checked. I always want to support local business, will probably still shop there but will pay very close attention to what I buy.
