I was walking my dogs one day and walked by this place and fell in love. The vibes, immaculate, the people, wonderful, the plants? SO HEALTHY. Every plant I buy here is so so so healthy and never has issues. The employees always answer my questions so nicely and they are so personable. I recommend all of my friends who love plants to come here.

The lady was so rude and told me if I wanted something cheap I should go to Safeway which I don't have a car to go to. I was attempting to buy local and was willing to buy $25 worth of flowers to litter the house. She made me feel so unwelcome and told me 'I don't know how to help you'. I started with telling her about my Grandma being sick, I can't believe someone would be so rude after that. I feel a hundred times worse than I did before and it made this hard time so much more painful. I don't know how this place will stay open if they treat their customers like this. Horrible service!!!

This is a small nursery but they've made it an oasis of cool and calm beauty…read more I have no problem driving up to Cloverdale for their plants, especially their succulents, as they have an interesting and varied selection. The plants are healthy, the staff knowledge, and they have beautiful gardening books that I've found helpful as I learn to garden in a less fertile environment, with more fire threat than I'm used to; the hills vs. valley floor -- huge difference. This has been a hot summer yet even the shade plants I purchased from them are flourishing. Additionally, CH&G has a very knowledgeable staff, all kinds of accessories, pots, tasteful garden art (tasteful being the operative word), and soil amendments. And because Cloverdale is not overrun by tourists -- there are parking places, often in front. Out back, they've created garden beds containing popular plants organized by their continents/climate of origin.
