The women at this daycare are the most caring individuals I have ever met. They care not only for…read morethe children but for their families as well. They make accommodations for every child's needs. My daughter has been going here for almost a year and I can't imagine her going anywhere else. They also are truly amazing teachers. My daughters language skills have improved tenfold since she began attending and her personality and social skills continue to grow and improve each day with the help of all of the amazing people working here. Enrolling here was one of the best decisions I've made for my daughter!

I don't have enough nice things to say. DECC has become family in lots of ways. I've had 2 kids go…read morethrough DECC and my youngest will be there for another year. They have provided a loving, trustworthy, thoughtful, and educational environment. Staff make it a point to learn about each child and create lasting relationships. It truly feels like "the neighborhood daycare/early childhood center" that so many caregivers wish for and for that, I have so much gratitude. As a parent, the last I want is to worry about my child when I drop them off. Never have I been worried about leaving my child there. Regarding the building, it's clean, safe with a security door, and a fenced play yard away from the busy street. they follow the public school curriculum. The teachers are wonderful. The director is amazing. If your child goes to DECC, you're one of the lucky ones.

1/5 - DO NOT ENROLL HERE - Safety & Supervision Nightmare…read more We won the lottery for this Pre-K and it was the worst experience of our child's life. Multiple red flags: 1. Punitive "discipline" - Our 4yo was repeatedly forced to sit with head down, sitting with legs crossed, unable to look up, if she didn't clean up fast enough. When we raised this with the principal, she dismissed our daughter as "confused." Another student confirmed the same punishment happened to them. Gaslighting parents is not OK. 2. Zero incident reports - A boy hit our daughter daily (hair-pulling, shoving, hitting, pushing her head down). We told the teacher. There was no documentation, no seating changes, no follow-up. He continued to sit directly behind her, and the abuse continued. 3. Dangerous nap-time supervision failure. The same boy was involved in a serious boundary violation with another little girl during nap. No staff intervened in time. We only learned because the other child's parent told us. Admin's response? Silence and deflection. We pulled our daughter immediately. We contacted RIDE, BrightStars, DHS, and all failed us, and every other child in that classroom. Nothing significant was done. Trust broken. Educators and admin failed at the most basic duty: keeping our 4-year-olds safe.. Our most prized possessions, and a truly vulnerable population. The only reason we sent her here were the glowing reviews. However, 2 students dropped by October 2025 and parents should have some background why. The school won't tell them because they prioritize the protection of their institution over the protection of the actual children. The bottom line is, our children are not being watched properly. Everything in this review is written from our perspective and based on what our child told us (and what we personally observed or were told by other parents). Warn your parent groups. Look elsewhere.

We were very fortunate to find The workshop after a not so great experience at our other day care, and they have been so great with accommodations for our girls. Additionally, as a parent you can be involved and work directly with Jess in the Family Advisory Board (FAB) to help with planning events and activities for the kids!

My son attended Way to Grow for one year, beginning in August of 2021. What we like most about…read morethis daycare is that the staff and atmosphere are friendly and there is strong communication. Whereas in many places parents are not allowed to enter the building, we were invited to come in, talk, and even sit and play with the kids for a bit at pickup. There was nothing to hide, which is important for building trust. Our 2-year-old (at the time) had a difficult transition. He would cry and scream at drop-offs for 2 months straight. We were called in for a behavioral meeting in the beginning as well, which helped all parties understand the situation better. Sometimes they would call me to let me know what was happening, or I would call and check. After the transition period, he adjusted quite well and became a star student. He enjoyed spending time with the small group of friends and his teachers. As parents, we liked getting picture updates by text or Facebook every once in a while. The teacher would let us know how the day went when we picked him up. There were arts and crafts projects and the teachers tried to find activities that interested individual kids as well (in my son's case, electronics and lights). They even worked with us regarding medical issues that came up. In many cases, they knew more about his ailments than the clueless doctors. The less-than-ideal factors were that within 1 year, his main teacher changed 3 times. This was hard for him. However, each one was wonderful. Food was not included in tuition at that time, which means the extra stress of packing snacks and lunch in the morning. At some points, there was overcommunication, like several emails within a week. Ultimately, this is better than being under-informed. We highly recommend this daycare. Every family is different but it was a great fit for us.
