The entire time, I had the feeling like I was just hanging out with my friends, only we were chatting about my kids teeth, in depth. Very professional team, yet personal. The building and decor had a fun fresh and bright feel. My daughter needed emgernt care for an infection that had started. I was happy with the female Dentist we first saw, she was patient and kind to my daughter. The front desk staff are also very warm and pleasant but that is where the care really stops. Once we came back to get my daughter's tooth removed, the male Dentist was extremely frustrated with my daughter. Mind you she is 5 and had never even sat for cleaning which I voiced repeatedly to the Dentist and staff. The hegentist was very sweet and tried to talk with my daughter to get her comfortable. Although once the dentist came in, that is when my daughter lost it. She wouldn't lay for him she began to get really scared. She was given the laughing gas which didn't do anything for her. She was very alert, and the dentist did nothing to encourage her or comfort her. Was visibly annoyed at my 5 year old, and I had to hold her down so he could get the tooth out. It was a very heightened situation with my daughter moving so much and crying but I expect the Dr. to be able to say we can't do this safely or to try to comfort her in some capacity. He was visibly irritated by the end and instead of saying it's okay you did great he immediately got up and said we can't do any more procedures with her safely if she is alert and left the room. I left upset and so did my daughter, but we had another procedure coming up with the same clinic and she was to be sedated so I went ahead and kept that appointment. We came back and the care was even worse but this time with the Anesthesiologist. Dr. Ron Wagner with Ambulatory Anesthesia Care. I will summarize this expereicne as best I can. Basically this man should not work with children. He was impatient to me and extremely insensitive. He did not say one thing to my daughter to make her feel safe or comfortable. He was annoyed that I wanted to help her back into the room mind you she is FIVE and has trauma from the dentist. I held her arms down for him because he was being extremely impatient clearly they were on a time crunch. She fell asleep quickly and as I am crying and my daughter too, he says "Yeah kids do a lot better when their parents aren't in the room.." The way you should be able to read the room as someone in this level of care. The most appropriate thing to say in that moment would have been " Great job mom, I know that was hard." He dismissed me by saying that and I told him that was unnecessary to say in this moment, and he ignored what I said and didn't apologize and told me I could leave. After this was completed the Dentist came in and checked in, and began to ask about my daughter's sleeping habits... because kids who don't sleep well often are more emotional. Needless to say I will not be back and the Anesthesiologist came back in and didn't even apologize to me after I let him know that was inappropriate. I will absolutely never go back to this clinic.

Dentistry has come a long ways, and as expected, HRD seems to keep up with new techniques, equipment, and trends. It's never fun to have to go to the dentist, however HRD has managed, in most cases to ease the pain quite effectively. Generally dentist visits are expensive. HRD is no different, but I do feel I have been treated fairly, received great compassionate care, and am generally pleased with my experiences with HRD.

This place is the bees knees folks…read more I have visited 3 different pediatricians in the past couple months, my google search bar is chock full of things like "small pediatric office, personable pediatrician, ect ect" while those 3 pediatricians we visited may have been fine for some people they simple wouldn't do for us.. Because we were spoiled by our previous pediatrician, or maybe bias.. Regardless to say Rich Martin is to blame for treating us too darn good.. The guy offered to help us move if that tells you anything.. And he's a car guy too, best.pediatrician.ever You see, Rich always remembered us, when we had a sick kid in the middle of the night we could talk to him, not an advice nurse. He would call us or have someone call us the following day to make sure our child was doing well. Visits that would take 5 minutes most places took an hour with him, you got to put all your concerns on the table and discuss your options. He isnt old school and set in his ways but rather perceptive while still being levelheaded. He would always check the kids over from head to toe to make sure they were healthy. The bottom line is the guy has compassion and cares about his patients.. Not to say the pediatricians down here are jerks, they just have too many patients to remember one kid. We began seeing Rich Martin when our oldest son was 3 months old, he was still working at La Clinica, 3 years later we had our second son, Rich was opening his own practice (awesome!) La Clinica left a lot to be desired... The new office is fantastic, it's completely set up for kids without being tacky looking. We were expecting our daughter in 2012 and were very happy to have the peace of mind that shed have a fantastic doctor. Then my husband was offered a job in the metro area, we were less than thrilled to be leaving our beloved doc. Our daughter was born and we visited the new ped for the first time, the visit was rather rushed by the doc.. After leaving we sat in the car I said to my husband "well what did you think?" "What did you think?" He said " It was okay I guess, but he didn't even ask us if we had any questions or look her over, he seemed in a hurry. I just miss Dr Martin." We were on the same page. So here I sit, trying to find a pediatrician somewhat like good old "Dr Mart" as my oldest son calls him.. It's just not happening, because a good pediatrician is rare these days, especially over here. However having a husband who works mandatory overtime and being a full time student doesn't really make time for 4 hour round trip visits to the doc. So the only solution is to beg him to move his practice, or be our doctor via Skype.. Totally worth it if you ask me.

Not only did we avoid a pricy emergency room trip we were able to see someone my son is comfortable with. Dr Martin's passion truly shows in his work.
