The crew at storybook dental are so great! To start with, the paperwork is a breeze and I was able to do it on my phone before the appointment so there was no waiting around for mom to get it together lol Everyone is so friendly and they made my 7yrold feel at ease. He was able to do the X-rays and the chair all by himself with absolutely NO TEARS! they were very informative and listened to my questions and concerns and took the time to thoroughly explaine everything to me. So glad we gave them a try!! Check in was quick and only waited minutes (great with a 4yo and 1.5yo), and the hygienist was so kind and informative and put my 4 yo at ease with her very first dentist visit. She had hurt a front tooth and we wanted to make sure we were doing all we needed to etc. and from a quick paste cleaning and front X-ray, to the dr exam, she was talked to and comforted whenever she said she was nervous or scared and even got a great toothbrush and pastes set with glasses for home. The atmosphere, kindness, professionalism, and quality make this a really great place for a child to learn great dentist/oral hygiene practices and make coming back an easier process. read more

First thing, COVID protocol is great and made me feel we were safe at storyboook dental. My little is 4 and while totally compliant, is always a little nervous. The dental hygienist was amazing with her. Really listened to her and even took a quick x-ray of a tooth she said was sometimes hurting her. She was engaging and fun and answered allllll the questions (again, 4 yrs old lol) happily. The doctor was really great too. I appreciated the care they gave her, they way they explained everything they were doing and my toddler appreciated the dentist approved lollipop The office itself has bright friendly colors, kid centric decor, and even a good amount of Harry Potter paraphernalia to round it out We'll be back and bringing little brother in tow next time! read more

This was a third time here and we absolutely love it. The decor of the office is always so fun. Today when we went, they were having Harry Potter week so the whole office was decked out and all the staff were in themed outfits. Really fun. I also love how the main room is open for the kids to see the other kids getting their dental work done. Makes it less scary for them. The staff is also wonderful, warm and friendly. They have always taken their time with my kid since the first visit. She's only 2 so she's still getting the hang of things. They're professional, let your kid take their time and respect them and the parents by not pushing the exam further if the kiddo isn't having it. My only complaint, which I'm guessing there isn't much the dental office can really do, is the parking lot. My appointment was for 9:30am and there were 3 spots available out of hundreds of spots total. 2 of those spots were obviously compact only. Most parents drive mini vans. So it has always been stressful to get in and out of this parking lot due to the high traffic. I'm also not a fan of having to haul my 2 year old in my arms across the big parking lot, where there aren't enough sidewalks that connect. I swear me almost got hit by 3 cars. So leave early for parking I guess. I left 10 minutes early and was still 3 minutes past my appointment time. They also have a policy where if you're 10 minutes late they have the right to ask you to reschedule. Just fyi. But I do really love this place! Just hate the parking situation. read more

They also kept me informed every few minutes of My Granddaughters progress by coming Out to Parking lot where I had to wait Because of the safety procedures put in place , they explained what was to be done and how long it would take . UPDATE - I switched my children to Camas Pediatrics down the road and boy am I satisfied! Dr. T and her team are amazing! Both my girls enjoyed their initial visit and look forward to their next visit (& not just because of their "prizes/gift"). Really disappointed with the lack of enforcing COVID mask madate. In the short time I was there I saw four kids over the age of five unmasked in waiting room & one adult wearing mask impoperly. Staff saw and didn't seem to care at all, I brought up my concern to the dental assistant. She was nice but said one of them forgot thier mask today. My daughter has a fear of the dentist and I was hoping we may have found a good fit after reading reviews, he seemed nice and caring but not as patient and engaging with our scared little one as our last dentist and not a good fit for what we are looking for. I wouldn't bring my daughter in there again. read more

I waited a while to write a review because I was so upset by our experience at Storybook. This was our first time at the dentist since my daughter was a baby because of the pandemic. I took her because I could see a small cavity. Firstly, the dentist did not make any eye contact with me and was clearly in a hurry to get back to another patient who came in at the same time as us and was seated across the room. He started to recline the chair without any warning which startled my 2 year old daughter. She tried to hold herself up because she was scared and he pushed her back and said "don't fight it". If he had gently explained what he was going to do, she would have been cooperative. But he didn't talk to my daughter at all in this regard. I was taken aback and should have stopped him at this point but I was shocked. I explained that I could see an obvious, but small cavity beginning, and he *glanced* in her mouth, not more than a few seconds, then said "don't worry about it". He then told the assistant to go over preventive care and he returned to the other patient. I asked the assistant if we could at least do a flouride treatment which she did very quickly. My daughter had visible plaque and I asked about cleaning. She said that insurance would not pay for a cleaning for 6 months. The dentist spent less than three minutes with my child. Needless to say i would never take my child back there. read more

My kids have been going to Storybook Dental since they first opened and every visit is a wonderful experience.

What a great office. There decor is amazing and super kid friendly. Office staff goes out of there way to make patients and parents feel comfortable. Dr. Hsu is very friendly and throughly explains any procedures and treatments that are necessary. It's very important to the entire staff that kids have the information and skills to take care of their mouth and take time to show kids how best to achieve a happy mouth. Dr. Hsu even went of if his way to order special toothpaste for my children that has extra cavity fighting "power". They easily accommodated my special needs children (who are both on the spectrum with some very heavy sensory issues). My kids love the "prize" packs that they get when they are done. My kids actually want to go to the dentist, imagine that. Definitely go excellent pediatric dental office. read more

I took a friends child in for some much needed dental work to these folks and they were amazing. The environment is so fun and everything is aimed to make the kids comfortable. I was blown away with how empathetic and compassionate everyone that worked there was. The sweet little girl needed extensive work done and the whole staff went out of their way to make sure she that she felt comfortable and got the care she needed. She was from out of town and the dentist and staff went as far as calling her local pediatric dentists to try to get her in close to home for some much needed work. Unfortunately no one was available for a while so they made sure they could take care of her while she was visiting. I will never forget this. I highly recommend this business. read more

Most HORRIBLE experience ever!! I took my child here after having long conversations with the staff on her high anxiety with dentist. I was reassured it would be different. Instead of making her feel calm this dentist threatened TO THE CHILD to do the extraction without the nitrus because she was not complying and was crying. Then had the gaul to use the cost of the supplies as a means to get her to agree. He actualy said "we can do it the easy way or the hard way"! No pediatric dentist should threaten a child EVER!!! Needless to say we walked out and I will never go back or recommend. Thank you Dr. Hsu now for reassuring the fear in dentist for this child! UNACCEPTABLE!!! I will not return for sure. read more
