You'll see Upper Pines, and Lower Pines first then you'll finally make a left into the North Pines Campsite. Experience: This was by far the best campsite I've ever stayed at. Pictures do not do it justice. We had the best views of El Cap on one side and Half Dome on the other. Waking up to those views are indescribable and incomparable to any other National Park. Logistically, we had snagged the campsite from a friend of a friend who was unable to go anymore. All we had to do was make sure we had access to the reservation and a photo ID of the person who booked the site and we were good to go! We were walking distance from Curry Village which was so convenient. It was also really easy to access the Mist Trail, and Nevada Falls trail from here. Campground and bathrooms were very clean. I don't think I can camp anywhere else in the park ever again after being spoiled camping here. Tips: - Screenshot the reservation before you lose service. If you can't access it before you get to the park entrance they will not let you in. Also, have your confirmation number just incase as well. - If you can snag site 511, you'll have these epic views we had.

Bridalveil Creek is such a wonderful campground with amazing staff…read more Check-in was so smooth, and if you arrive after their work hours, you will see your name on the window, with your campground location/ number. They have maps available, so it is easy to get around. When making a reservation, you will have the option to choose between a more private spot or one closer to other campers, so be sure to do your research before reserving. Either way, you will have a great time. The campground is very clean, well-equipped, and safe. Bathrooms are available as well. There are huge rocks in the middle of the campground, so you can camp around them as well. A creek is nearby, and there's plenty of greenery. The campground is also centrally located, making it easy to access nearby attractions, from waterfalls to various trails, Sentinel Dome, Glacier point and many more ( if you are interested in these, look for my other reviews, as I will add notes and photos of some of the waterfalls and other trails in the area)! There is also great bike trail that is part of this campground. There are a few trails right off the campground that you can hike, starting directly from the campground. However, if you bring your dogs, please note that most of the trails only allow service animals. Campground does allow dogs, just don't forget to be respectful and clean after your pets. Additionally, please please please make sure your fire is fully out before leaving. You can put everyone and all the wildlife in danger. Also, use the storage space for your food, that has a lock, to secure it from bears. Be respectful to this beautiful place and make great memories. Had a great time staying at this campground in Yosemite National Park and wish we could've stayed…read morefor longer. The staff were friendly and communicative and allowed us to check in early at 11am, and our site (24A) was conveniently located near a bathroom with real toilets and running water. There's a utility sink outside of, but attached to, the bathroom facilities to get and dump water (but NOT to wash dishes; that you have to do at your own site, so plan to bring a basin if you weren't already). Bear safety policies were printed and handed out to us to read and initial in acknowledgement of the rules, which were comprehensive and easy to follow. The food locker provided at our site was clean enough and big enough to store all of our food, toiletries, and scented products (because it's not just food that attracts bears). Maybe bring disinfecting wipes if you'd like to do an extra wipe-down of the locker though. Despite all the talk of bears, we had no incidents or sightings, so if you're afraid of them for whatever reason, be vigilant, but I wouldn't be too worried. Each campsite had a picnic table and fire ring, and you can buy wood at a general store in the park, like Wawona or the big store in Yosemite Valley. Both of those stores also have plenty of food items and basics in case you've forgotten anything, but despite stocking a wide variety of t-shirts and sweatshirts, they don't have any bottoms (pants, shorts), so do not skimp on packing those! (May seem like a random note, but I had a mishap with the one pair of shorts I'd brought and couldn't replace them.) You're also allowed to gather sticks and fallen wood around the camp area to use for kindling, though no pine cones. Despite it being summer, it got quite cold at night, so I'd suggest bringing layers even if you don't think you'll need them. Rubbish and recycling bins were just down the road from us, so we had no issue dumping our trash and securing it from animals. There were a lot of big ants in this area and other bugs, so watch your food and do not forget to apply insect repellent, and you'll be fine.

We were just there trying to have a good time so we just say sorry and put the parking passes up. We had quite a bit of stuff to unload so I was wondering if it would be okay to drive the car up onto the campsite (since we saw other people with their RVs and trailers parked onto the campsite) but since the range was such a ahole I didn't want to get in trouble so I went to go ask him, he tells me no and I say thanks and I walk away, as I'm walking away I hear him say "DUHHHHH" and start laughing with the other ranger, clearly making fun of me that I'm stupid or whatever so I turn around and I say "what, it was just a question you don't need to be rude about it, I just didn't want to get in trouble since you were so worked up about the parking passes" he just stayed silent and stopped laughing. Honestly this was a horrible experience to start off what was otherwise a great weekend, it's too bad this dick had to have an attitude. Aside from that the experience was not bad, a lot more bugs than other campsites I've been to but hey it's nature lol, lots of great hiking trails and scenery around the campsite area as well

First time camping ever and this campsite was far beyond my expectations!…read more I need to add that the weather was awful for camping with rain and snow so most of the campsites were empty and flooded. We were the only group to sleep in tents while the other campsites had recreational vehicles for shelter. Despite the horrible weather conditions, our campsite did not flood or pool as expected. Campground site- A driveway, picnic table, bear proof storage container, and fire pit are included at every site. The bear proof storage container is easy to use and was in good condition. Make sure to bring your own firewood! Bathrooms- I was very impressed with the facilities provided at the campground. The bathrooms were clean! Flushing toilets, toilet paper, sinks, and air dryers (very useful to dry wet clothes!) are all present. There is even a power outlet! Just outside the bathrooms are a filtered water station (which tastes DELICIOUS) and unfiltered water for washing dishes. Rangers- The rangers were helpful in giving us advice for hiking and camping. They were very pleasant and funny. In addition they were very resourceful. Location- When the sky cleared up, you can stare up at half dome and north dome from your campsite! It made a beautiful panorama!

I have a Nissan Sentra and I regret volunteering my car !): the road down there is so rough I think it would of been better if we pushed my car trough the pain !! There is a fire pit at every camp and a table !(: There are many caps inside the creek camp !! We just ended up staying in the first one because it was a bit isolated but if you keep driving down ! You'll hit the camps closer to the creek but even camp number 1 was close it was like a 5 min walk. Best creek spot is Area 51 where you can go rock diving , and 3 min ahead of that there's a little rock pool It's 12 dollars a night not bad It's cold at night, and hot during the day !! Time wise honestly we got there at 8 and there were so many camps open & we went on Friday !! All the cars arrived at 10 legit everyone so go b4 10 and u should be coo !! -@Islandalondra

This, unfortunately, is the BEST side of the campground... and when in use, possibly the best car camping setting ever. Most of these big sites are directly on a beautiful creek. Repairs were well underway, so I would guess that this will open soon. However, the side that is open right now isn't too shabby. Although there are some real dogs (like Site 39), there's a stream through the middle where you can pull water from (need filter or boil, of course). I drove through the other campgrounds near this site - White Wolf and Porcupine. Sites are piled on top of one another at White Wolf. Porcupine is the same, only right on Tioga Pass Rd. Seriously, unless you're not comfortable with driving down very rough roads, Yosemite Creek is the place to be. There's a trailhead right there. Plenty of parking. The only bad thing - and this goes for ALL campgrounds in summer - is that you have to be a vulture, ready to swoop in at the right time in order to get your dream site (at least in my experience).

Pros: it's close to the back entrance of the restroom - so close to enough but not in the path so people weren't walking through out site The parking pad is wide enough for 2 sprinter vans. I wish someone else had posted a photo of this. We called the site and they were "pretty sure" they would fit side by side but we still stressed about leading up to the trip. Cons: the fire pit was way too close to the campsite 205's firepit. This would be great if you booked both together, but otherwise we were sharing space. Half the site was in the afternoon sun. The firepit section was shaded for the most part but it was hard to enjoy the other half because of the heat. Bring easy ups. TIP: bring bicycles for everyone in your party. The Valley is flat and everything is bike able - trail heads, waterfalls, Curry and Yosemite village, etc. The shuttles are overcrowded because of the change to the park reservations so bikes are way more convenient. Get a bike rack if you have to. It changes the entire experience.

The campground was well-maintained, with neat grounds and clean restrooms, which made for a pleasant stay. The campground host was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our visit. However, I did encounter a concerning issue: during our hike in Yosemite Valley, some of my property was stolen from my campsite. While I don't want to negatively impact the campground's reputation, I feel it's important for fellow campers to be aware of this. Even though the area feels safe, I highly recommend keeping your belongings secured and out of sight when you're away from your site. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Summerland Campground and would recommend it, but just exercise caution with your belongings.

Took my family on our first camping trip in the housekeeping valley area and it was just simply stunning. No Wifi, no phones and no traffic. Just beautiful breathtaking taking views. We got to sit and relax in the river with the fresh mountain spring water running down hill. With the sun above us and fresh air everywhere we were able to reset and enjoy a family vacation like no other. There's lots of tours and hiking trails that take place through out the day. It's so relaxing and the day goes by so slow. We can't wait to go back.

On this trip, we visited 14 national parks, and Yosemite National Park was a special stop because it brought back memories while also giving us a new perspective. This is not a full review of Yosemite because I have visited before, many years ago. During that visit, I spent time in Yosemite Valley, hiked several trails, and experienced the incredible beauty of the park more extensively. Yosemite Valley is one of those places that stays in your memory forever, with its enormous granite cliffs, waterfalls, forests, and iconic landmarks. This time, as part of our six week journey, we only had a few hours to spend in Yosemite while traveling from Mono Lake toward Death Valley. We entered from the eastern side of the park, and even that short visit was absolutely spectacular. The drive itself was an experience. Coming through the Sierra Nevada, surrounded by towering mountains, dramatic rock formations, and breathtaking scenery, reminded us why Yosemite is considered one of America's greatest national parks. Every turn of the road revealed another incredible view. Even with only a few hours, Yosemite had that same powerful effect: it makes you feel small in the best possible way. The scale of the granite cliffs, the beauty of the valleys, and the sense of being surrounded by ancient landscapes are simply unforgettable. Yosemite is one of those places that deserves more than one visit. It is a park where every season, every trail, and every entrance offers something different. Whether you are standing below El Capitan, watching waterfalls pour down the cliffs, hiking through the forests, or simply sitting quietly and taking in the views, Yosemite reminds you of the incredible power and beauty of nature. This short return visit only confirmed what I already knew: Yosemite is a must-see national park, one that belongs on everyone's list and one that continues to inspire no matter how many times you return.

My family and I visited Yosemite for a week and we stayed at Housekeeping Camp with about 30 other…read morepeople! It was wonderful! This was our first time staying at Housekeeping Camp (my first time in Yosemite too) and we had a great time! The camp is well maintained and clean - it was actually pretty free of a lot of bugs which was surprising! They do have A LOT of brave squirrels and birds though! The sleeping huts were great - each one fit 6 people with a bunk bed and a full size bed. The hut also had a mirror, electrical outlets and a shelf that worked great for keeping things organized. We brought our own sheets and blankets, but they also have them for rent at the front office as well. The hut can get pretty hot during the day so I recommend bringing some sort of a fan - especially at night too! The hut also has a nice size shaded patio area too - there was a table with built in chairs plus counter space and electrical outlets. I also recommend bringing tarps or extra sheets for more privacy as the huts are open except for the curtains attached to the sleeping areas. Since there were close to 40 of us, we had 9 huts together and it was like an outdoor hotel with a designated cooking area plus we had a sitting area with a projector where we watched movies and the last game of the World Cup - it's a great place for a large group! There was a big open area too where the kids in our group played volleyball all week plus it didn't feel like we were on top of other groups due to how the huts are spaced out which was nice. Each hut also has a bear box that all food and anything that smells including toiletries needs to be placed in and locked up at night and when you aren't around - Rangers come around unexpectedly to check and you will get warned or fined if you are not following the rules. Quiet time is also from 10PM to 6AM. As for the bathrooms, the women's never felt super dirty. I was told the men's was questionable at times. They kept the toilet paper, toilet seat protectors and soap filled, but they do not have paper towels or air dryers so you're usually walking out with wet hands. They do have mirrors in the bathrooms though! They only have one building with showers, but I believe there were at least 8 stalls available for each side - they offer soap in the stalls as well and you can borrow a towel from the nice people at the laundry window. I never had to wait in line for the shower in the mornings, but there were always long lines at night. They also have a laundry room and a store! The store offered the basics plus souvenirs, but it gets busy in the morning when people are trying to buy ice and it goes fast! They only allow one bag of ice per hut FYI and they can be a bit rude about it. Housekeeping Camp is also really close to the river which was nice and it's about a 15 minute walk to Curry Village and other places to check out. They also offer a free bus that will take you to different hiking spots and tourist areas. Overall, my family and I had an amazing week in Housekeeping Camp and we cannot wait to come back for more memories next year! Check them out!

This is definitely glamping and it is so convenient to have the store in the front and clean, accessible bathrooms. This campsite is so close to all the major landmarks in Yosemite and we plan on camping here yearly!

Aspen trees for miles…read more I always make a point to stop here just to witness the Aspens changing color, a breathtaking transformation that typically peaks in late October. It's absolutely worth the short detour. Located approximately 20 mins from Yosemite's entrance at Tioga Pass. These golden groves are located just before the entrance to the campground. While I'm not much of a camper myself, I did stroll through the site to get a feel for it just incase I ever change and become a camper. It's serene, quiet, and beautifully nestled alongside Lee Vining Creek. The area is shaded by trees and offers amenities like restrooms and picnic tables. If camping is your thing, I recommend checking out their website for more details. Even if you're not into camping, catching the Aspens in their autumn glory should be on your list if you're in the area between late October and early November.

Luckily we came across some super friendly Aspen Campground regulars, who invited us to share their double site which just happened to be situated in a prime spot right next to the beautifully bustling river - SCORE! The Big draw to Aspen is hands down the fishing. It just so happened that right before we arrived the local hatchery dropped a load of fresh trouts, ready to be hooked! This was my first time fishing, and I was able to catch (and Cook) my very first fish! If you like to fish and you like to camp, going to Aspen is a no brainer. The trees are also large and plentiful, so if you come, don't forget to pack your hammock!

Water only available at the dish sink at the bathroom in your campground, there are no additional spigots near the sites. Beautiful campground about a half hour drive from Yosemite valley. There is ample downed wood you can find and collect for firewood, but bring a camping axe.

Thank goodness for the National Park ranger who helped us book this campground…read more I accidentally mixed our dates to Yosemite and unfortunately showed up to our Glacier Point campground with the correct booking. We used the sheet provided to us by the ranger to try to book a campground and got lucky with a one night stay at Crane Flat! They have running water, clean toilets, and a place to fill your water containers that's great for rinsing your cooking items/etc. Our location had a table, a bear lock storage container, and a fire pit with a grill! We also had parking for up to two cars. It is about a 20-25 minute drive down to Yosemite Valley (traffic dependent) and a short walk from a convenience store and gas station. Perfect spot if you're focusing your trip on the Tioga Pass section of Yosemite.
