The store itself is nice but the service is not. I was in the store for about 20 min before one, of at least 4 that I had seen, asked if I needed any help. I called Ace, asked for the mower shop. Asked them about the lawn mower I just bought wouldn't start. Instead of service, the gentleman said I haven't sold a lawn mower today. if you are looking for poor service and incompetence this is the place for you. after three weeks of not hearing a word from them I had to go into the store because the email doesn't work and they don't answer the phone. in the end after 5 weeks they didn't bother to even do the one thing I requested. This is the worst store I have been in since the Covaid19 virus started in the Colorado. Only a few staff had mask's . The ones that did had them on and off frequently. They had no gloves or plexiglass protection. It appeared that they had made no effort to keep their staff and customers save. This store should be shut down. I will never shop there again and I will be telling everyone I know about this store. As the say, if you treat a customer well, they will tell 15 people, if you treat them poorly, they will tell 100 people. Those are real customers with real money. This is a great neighborhood hardware store that has a big selection of products. The gifs in the front of the store are adorable. I love that there is a post office in the back of the store as well. Great location with plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and helpful. read more

I've never met more disrespectful or rude people in my life than the women who work the post office in the back here. They always have a horrible attitude and are just nasty. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt- maybe they were having a bad day- but no. I've been here countless times now and they are horrible- every single time. I went into ace with a co worker to buy a trash can. We pulled trash cans off the shelf to see how big they were and made sure to measure the can so the trash bags we had would work. After finding one that would work and being checked on twice by a nice older gentleman, I told my co worker to go grab the car while I paid for the trash can. Before getting up to the register, I heard a younger woman say, "can you go make sure they put all of our shit back" in a very condescending voice. A younger man checked the isle where we were and then gave her a thumbs up. While checking out, there was a lot of attitude coming from the younger lady. She checked me out as fast as possible to, I guess, get me gone. I have worked in retail and the most important part of that job is making sure customers leave happier than when they came in. I was very displeased with how things went and I will not be returning to this location. The staff is hit or miss and do not want a 50/50 shot at good attitude when I shop there. Go to another location. They are immature and do not understand that customers have ears and a mouth and can represent plenty of other customers just from one experience at a location. read more

All of a sudden Aces are everywhere! This one is on the way to Aspen Grove, off Mineral, so it gets a stop in when we are going this way. However, the usual very helpful, very friendly Ace doesn't apply. We really needed help one day and there was none to be found. No greetings, no assistance and no kind of interaction at the check out. It is weird and very un-Ace like. Not to mention, this used to be a Marshalls and the whole set up is odd inside (right when you walk in it is all greeting cards and knick knacks!?). It works in a pinch, but we will try not to go here unless we need to. read more

Somehow the new area we've moved to is surrounded by Ace Hardware's. I think there are 5 within a 10 minute drive. Unfortunately for this Ace, that means there's lots of stuff to compare it to, which shows how much it really, really lacks. The staff were less than helpful. I am angry and telling you why I am never coming back to this neighborhood Ace Hardware. I will visit another Ace Hardware or Home Depot when I need something around the house! I came into this store as I usually do for some odds and ends. After checking out I saw there was still 2 or 3 bags of popcorn left in the machine. So I grabbed one bag which was only about 1/2 full. There was a small portion of loose popcorn in the front right corner, other than that the machine was mostly empty of any popcorn so I placed my bare hand in and scooped the small portion of popcorn into my 1/2 full bag. The elderly cashier ( which did not check me out with my purchase) SNAPPED and YELLED at me like I was a small child " Do Not Put Your Hands In There! Read The Sign And Use The Scoop! It is all ruined and now I have to make new POPCORN!" I apologized with disgust, because I actually thought about using the scooper that would have been held with my bare hands, but the problem was the scoop was behind the red and white bags on top of the machine and I could not identify it at the time, the sign she mentioned was laid over where I could not read it ..........AND the machine was mostly empty of any remaining loose popcorn. In my previous visits, this same elderly cashier has never been customer friendly, but I disregarded her bad attitude. Shame on her, there is no reason to yell at any customer! I am now a well educated customer that should have used the popcorn scoop and now know to visit local businesses with caring smiles and attitudes, which is not at this ACE. Terrible customer service! I purchased a set of jumper cables at the Johnstown Ace Hardware, and ended up not needing them after all. I went to return them at the Mineral location, and was told that they would not take them back after purchasing them two days ago! I was told they don't take returns from other Ace Hardware location's!! When I asked for a manager, Lindsey came up and repeated that they don't take returns from other locations. The receipt states that returns can be processed at any location within 90 days, but nothing about having to return at the purchased location. The Ace Hardware on University just down the street was able to process my return with no questions asked! Makes no sense why the store Lindsey runs has different policy's then other locations? read more

I've always been treated well by the folks at this hardware. They are friendly, courteous and go out of their way to help me. I also love the fresh bags of popcorn they provide to their customers. I've read some reviews that are critical of a few of the staff however, I have found that once you get to know them all they are really sweet people with good hearts. read more

I have been going to ACE Littleton for many years, dating back to when they were on Ridge Road. Their selection is excellent and the people are friendly and helpful. I am consistently greeted by name and asked if I need help but normally know where the item is myself. The Post Office staff always are always great, even at Christmas. I would never enter another US Post Office when this ACE is in the business. Especially appreciate Barb - thanks for your great customer service! read more

This is a Great Place with some friendly staffers. Whit went above and beyond helping me with some shelf brackets that Ace didn't have. He made some up for me out of some screws and plastic tubing...Amazing, and all of that for less than $1. I'd never get that kind of personalized attention at Home Depot or Lowes. read more

We were searching for a gas grill and found the best grill, helpful service at this Ace Hardware store. We explored the highestest end outdoor kitchens to dug fire pits. We originally did the internet search, put eyes on a model at another Ace aHardware in New Orleans. We have a seondhom in the Clorado Rockies, so orderring a grill though this store was our best option. The order wetn well, and ultimately arrived and picked it up, with etheir crew loading into our trailer and scuring it. Special crdit to the manager Jim, as well as Laurie. I called as we approached Denver about a week before pickup. They had apparently sold the grill be bought to another sustomer, but were able to get another promptly. Ace has a a small-town customer service with a chain's distrbution system. The pregnant pauses I was getting on th phone made me think I was headed to a corporate-drone-land of misssed deliveries and excuses. I was delighted to find otherwise! Just rememebr as a customer, you are also a partner and give 'em a heads up on your plans so they can work their system. This ws a world-class experience and offer my highest recommendation. This Ace is closer and more convenient than Home Depot or Lowe's, and I've enjoyed coming here for a few quick projects. I recently came to buy some canning supplies and browse their kitchen gadgets. It's not the biggest Ace Hardware in the area, but it's always had everything I need when I need it. The cashiers and other employees are friendly and they seem to know their stuff. There's a popcorn machine with free popcorn for customers (a nice welcoming aroma, that hot popcorn) at the front counter and a contract post office in the back if you need to drop off a package. read more
