One of the best bike shops that i've ever been to. Came in with a mind set of getting 700c fixie wheelsets(included innertube & wheel) that they were selling for $100 which is one of the cheapest prices around L.A. But instead got a micargi wheelset which was retailed at $189.99 but Carlos hooked it up for $110.00. I also replaced my bottom bracket for $30.00, so the overall price was $152 with tax but all i had with me was $148 and they accepted it which was awesome. I went online an there was no bike. So I called back an informed them the bike was not online. Bad customer service. I purchased my son's bike today, and I heard pop sound while driving bact to home. The bike's a flat tire. I went back there, and they made me wait for service again, and they said that they woudn't give a refund. Only store credit's available. I asked to exchange for another bike then, and they refused. RIDICULOUS SERVICE HERE !! Don't waste your time here . Our experience we had Saturday was awful . They had an older lady and a other girl that don't know how to do anything . We waited like an hour but my boyfriend insisted on giving a try . Kevin was awesome he's the only one that knew how to do anything there but the lady so called manager or owner kept telling to do other things . She doesn't know how to manage the store . We came in first and she helped the customers that came after us and made us wait . Maybe because we came in for an inner tube and that was less purchase than the other customer that purchase a seat . After waiting long time the girl kept telling us if we needed help we would tell her she would tell the older lady and the older lady tell Kevin so frustrating. Happened about 3-4 times repeatedly the same thing . The girl tried to fix a seat and she was unscrewing the wrong side of the bolt and scratched all the bolts paint off until we told her the other side . My boyfriend insisted to pamper me and buy a bike , I wanted to go to PATS FAMILY CYCLING CENTER (PATS 605) They are fast and so professional and we've been going there since my dads times . We purchased a new $300 bike here with this unprofessional old lady and today we wanted to ride and the inner tube all flat . We called her and they said unfortunately they can't do nothing, not even let me see or maybe upsell us w new tires or a new bike .!!!!!!! So rude . These guys gave me some pretty good reasons to never sell bikes here. I originally dropped off two bikes to be sold, both aluminum frame road bikes. One sold and the other one collected dust, so I swung by to pick it back up along with my money. I got paid the amount we agreed to, but they gave me a check. They didn't have the cash on hand and I have to wait a week to cash it. The Mexican lady only spoke Spanish but I could make out a little from what she said with her coworker was saying. I think she said "we don't have the cash right now" which made me believe that they're walking on thin ice in terms of money. I can understand check, but to not have my money that was brought through a sale and not have it sit somewhere safe makes me wonder if they even have an organized system. She also was shuffling through a bunch of papers that were recordings of transaction. Thankfully I brought my receipts. I'm pretty sure if I didn't, I wouldn't have been able to bring my bike back home with me. She looked heavily reluctant and somewhat irritated when she was signing my check too. Oh, and there was also a new big scratch on my bike that goes all the way down to the bare metal. I brought it up and they didn't charge me for service fees which barely softened the blow. The scratch will always be there. I told him they had "questionable quality control" and he didn't even deny it. He probably knew because they had a high school freshman kid working on the bikes when I came in. Never coming back here. read more

Amazing bike shop. Highly recommend. First, I am looking to get into biking as a hobby and don't know much about bikes. I told them my price range and they gave me options both new and used. The service is exceptional- not only did they let me try out the bikes (I am extremely thorough and indecisive... I was biking around the parking lot for about an hour with a bunch of different bikes) they also were very trustworthy in their recommendations. They suggested I take the cheaper of 2 bikes because it was higher quality parts, hard to find something that good used, and a good deal. When someone suggests you take a cheaper option, I think that speaks to their integrity. They upgraded my seat, and pedals, and any other changes I wanted to the bike. I was not charged anything for labor. I walked out with exceptional service and patience from the guys, an excellent condition used "specialized ruby carbon bike" with new pedals, handlebar taping, water bottle attachment, and lights and only spent $540... definitely will return. read more

What you're paying for is to skip the dyi process, so if that's your goal it's a pretty reasonable place to visit, not sure if they have negotiable pricing for regulars but i think i paid top dollar for my repairs. I have bought 3 $500+ bikes over the last 6 years for myself, my fiancé, and another family member. Each purchase has had a couple years in between, so I would visit this bike shop in between each purchase because it is the closest to me...I can say that this shop excels in consistency...They consistently have the worse customer service, knowledge of product, and general attitude out of any local shops including bellflower bicycles, and pats cyclery to name a few. They have that attitude that they are doing you a favor by just addressing your questions, they thrive off customers with no knowledge who hopefully will impulse buy. Their answers tend to be contradictory and have even told me they have something better to do than help me out....I have thought my first few experience were one off so I refrained from writing reviews.... I believe in supporting local business but if they don't offer great customer service, have higher prices, terrible attitudes, and a general lack of knowledge of the products they carry they deserve to be consumed by amazon honestly...Let this be a warning to any potential customers I hope they catch on and retrain their employees....or join in with me by voting with your dollar by no longer supporting shops who conduct business this way read more

This shop is awesome. They treat you like a friend AND a customer. Yesterday they stayed late to help me out because I got stuck in traffic. They take a very low-key, no-pressure approach and help you test ride any bike you want to try. Once I arrived at a choice they threw in a couple extras for free (which included installation and labor) and they even ran a couple price checks on a carrying case and recommended I shop online to get the best price instead of buying through them. Then, when I left, they cut some cardboard and gave it to me to protect my leather seats as I transported the bike home! First-class service and the most chill shop there is. They sold a Trek for me last year and that couldn't have been easier, either. So I came back when I was ready to buy and I'm glad I did. Their selection is great, that little shop is absolutely packed with bikes, so you really have no excuse for not giving them a shot if you're in the market. If they don't have what you want, they can either order it for you, or you can go look at a higher-end shop, but it's worth it to try these guys first. read more

I got helped by Hector right away when I went to Live4Bikes. He immediately knew which bike would fit my height, (I'm 6'2) and recommended a bike that I just fell in love with right away. I asked to try other bikes just for comparison sakes and he was more than happy to help me with my selection. Live4Bikes to the rescue! My 47cm Victor PureFix was stolen. The only thing that could make that better was ordering the exact bike again, or order one with better colors and consider it an unexpected upgrade. Well, PureFix no longer offers the Victor in a 47cm, but I found it on Live4Bikes.com! While browsing I noticed I could build my own custom bike! Upgrade here I come... I was able to order an all white and gold (All Gold Everything!) in my size. Size was an issue when shopping other bike brands as most XS bikes are 49cm (I am under 5'), but Live4Bikes was able to order me a 47cm white PureFix frame for only an additional $30! So worth it to have the right size bike. Let me tell you what, this custom PureFix will NOT be stolen. I will be very grateful to Live4Bikes when I can cruz down the streets of Sacramento again.
