An old man like me likes to spend his weekends getting a little sun and chasing some dirt. I've ridden trails all over Southern California in my day. These days I keep it simple -- a cool, breezy ride through the Fullerton Loop, maybe cruise the Greenway Trail or Riverbed. If you see an old man rolling by, feel free to say hello. I neglected my bike coming out of the pandemic and it showed. I wanted to start riding again, but so many things needed work. I drove past Pats everyday for over a year, and did a yelp search for bike tune ups, only to find Pats was a stones throw from my front door. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a wonderful lady at the front (beautiful mom vibes ) she got me a ticket written up for service. We came in to check out a specific size mountain bike with a smaller frame. Large selection of small, medium, large and electrical bikes at very reasonable prices. We were allowed to test ride a bike just to be sure which was very helpful. After a few additions to the handle bar and basket attachment, we purchased a nice mountain bike that met all of the specs we were looking for. After switching from clinchers to tubeless, I ran into some issues when adding air, the seal kept popping out. I took my wheels to Pat's 605 Cyclery, and Tristan helped diagnose the problem. He found that the valve stem was too short for my setup and replaced it with a longer one, which immediately fixed the issue.
