At first, we didn't do so great but towards the end our talents started picking up. There is a axe throwing specialists that goes over some rules and teaches your form and technique before you're up to the plate to throw some axes. We personally had a lot of fun. I highly recommend it for any day of the week whether you are alone (maybe take out some frustrations) or with friends. It's a great stress reliever for sure...I know, because I needed it!!! I think it's a unique evening out with the guys, gals, or couples. It can also be a great family activity for kids 13+. You won't be disappointed! We had 4 of us and the timeframe was perfect. We did a regular target game, a balloon popping game, and a zombie game. All fun for different points. Your score shows on top of the lane (think bowling). Setup is two lanes side by side with the axes in the middle. There are two axe options for you to try, a larger one you can throw with one or two hands and a smaller, lighter one that you use one hand for. I preferred the two hand axe, did better with this. Fun time for sure. They sell non-alcoholic drinks Ks and I believe you can bring beer (we weren't aware but another group had). This was my first time- Will be back!

The facility itself is a great idea for group events. For us, bringing a variety of personal from assorted assignments together in a relaxed atmosphere for mind mapping purposes did yield a few useful ideas. Mostly it educated. We found that we still hung on to traditional gaming match-ups such as: Tim and Lisa vs. Stephanie and Greg. We quickly learned that Greg is useless at cornhole but excels at axe throwing. Lisa was the opposite. It's all Learning. Steven can't drink enough to keep up with Diana; Tim can shoot stick, Stephanie is the best dancer of anyone in the building. These morsels are telling and provide valuable data. We persevered by focusing our strengths on various problems in the equation. Now, the Ideation storm did lead the way to an avalanche of potential plans and schemes. It also worked to solve existing production issues. We finally found the guy and he just told us he would be there in a little while. So far I'm not impressed. There are other hatchet throwing places in town. Will try one of those next time. Having been in the Navy and the Marine Corps this appealed to the warrior within. I did not have a reservation but I was properly dressed, unlike some guys who went in there with socks and sandals (true story). The business is prepared to rent shoes because your feet should be protected when throwing axes around. Everyone has to watch a safety video regardless of how many times you have participated and there are instructors to help and guide you. David was my instructor and he was accommodating and personable. He showed me different axes to throw and gave me some Chinese throwing stars. I only did this activity for 30 minutes which is more than enough time for a first timer. It can be exhausting and you don't want to overdo it because accuracy and safety come first. I got a military discount plus a birthday discount! It was a great experience, but I wish they had more instructors on the floor but were short-staffed.
