We finally found the guy and he just told us he would be there in a little while. So far I'm not impressed. There are other hatchet throwing places in town. Will try one of those next time. Went for a birthday party where host reserved back room. The guys were great teaching us and setting up games. Our "guy" seemed more like part of our party. He was very patient and encouraging. The ax throwing is a lot of fun. More than I actually thought. Place is clean and well set up with good parking. There a cooler of drinks to choose from. No food though you can have food delivered. I came here with a group of work colleagues on a Saturday night and the place was busy. Make sure to call ahead or reserve a time online if you're planning to come on a weekend. There's a lively atmosphere and the staff make it a fun place by teaching you different games to play while throwing the axes. There's a bar inside for those of age. The staff is great and can't wait to see the bar they will put in.My only complaint is that they are clearly understaffed since I saw so many people waiting in check in and looking around for someone to come help them. Unfortunately as much as I love supporting venues as a serious axe thrower, this venue was a hot mess yesterday. Starting out, they invited 21 serious throwers for a marathon, many of which have competed in the world championship. They started late and didn't fully communicate to all members who were traveling far distances and left us all in a bad place from the getgo. Upon arriving, we heard from members that the wood used is incredibly hard, and pros who never drop their throw were finding endless drops because of the lack of care in the boards. They also appeared to be using non-WATL certified markers that bled so heavily that a 1.5" mark ran down to look 6" in length because the correct tools weren't used by the venue to mark the boards and caused many tough calls to be made without visible pen line to dictate the points and Killshots especially. Funky lighting made it hard to see and line up, with lights on the boards causing them to dry out quickly and increase drops as well. Only three employees staffed for a large event, and they chose to stay open to the public and ignore both customers and professional clientele. When things would go wrong with the scoring tablets provided or when boards needed changed, the staff was no where to be found or would stand and watch the throwers work to fix the venue instead of doing anything to help. This rubbed many of us the wrong way, and that the male staff preferred to flirt with female clientele and not showing them how to throw effectively in the slightest, and leaving those of us who paid a pretty penny and spent many hours on the road to be there pretty upset. Lunch was supposed to be provided as it's an all day event, and they failed to provide enough food to feed everyone and left every thrower starving while performing a high level of physical and mental work. While it is to my understanding that the owners majorly did the staff dirty around this event, the staff didn't do anything to help and could often not be found, and looked just as bad as the owners did with the experience had. Out of 21 throwers, they'll be lucky if two come back after how horrendously that event was managed. The layout and aesthetic was awesome in the venue, but bad management and poor staffing ruined this experience for the vast majority of attendees. An event of this nature shouldn't have taken 11 hours for us to complete and we would have been there even longer had it not been for all of the incredible non-Hatchetbury throwers from other venues doing all of the work for the staff. A very poor experience in every way possible, can truly say that the Tampa Bay and Orlando area throwers will be first time and last time guests after the chaos that yesterday brought. They should really be considering partial refunds after we spent all day doing their jobs for them, might be the only way to salvage any pros and get them to consider coming back. read more

This was an awesome experience! Yeah, it may be a little on the pricy side but don't let that stop you from coming because it's well worth it. Plus there are nights of the week with specials if you're on a tight budget. They didn't have a full bar but they had a good selection of canned drinks and wine. Our axe-pert (Devin) was really awesome and funny but knowledgeable about keeping us safe. I definitely recommend this for a fun night out that's different from your typical bar. read more

I have always wanted to go to an axe throwing bar as friends of mine have said they were a lot of fun. Went on a Saturday and waited about 10 minutes to get checked-in at the lobby. As no one had come out, I popped my head in to get the attention of someone who worked there and was told he would be right out. After waiting 20 minutes with no one coming out to check us in. We left. My guess is that it's best not to go there on a weekend night unless you have reserved it for a special event. read more

The owner/operator of this establishment is incredibly unorganized, which is a shame because the right management would make this place great. She is incredibly difficult to work with and does not communicate well with her staff. This place is understaffed, there are better axe throwing places to try out instead. read more

I've been in now twice. The staff is spectacular and the owners are great. I throw axes pretty regularly and stopping here felt just like going to my home venue. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. good atmosphere and music choice. Nice selection of drinks too. The facility is awesome. Easy parking and great location. read more
