The lanes are so clean and we had a great time. They have a bar and good as well. We will be back for sure!

Duck Pinz is a blast! My family and I (three folks total for this visit) had a wonderful time here…read moreon a Friday afternoon. It's a cute location in a cute area; it had such a fun, authentic vibe outside and in. We came in and wanted to get straight to bowling, and the staff member who set us up was helpful and friendly. The alley area is pretty small, as it's only four lanes. But while I'm sure that could be a disappointment on a crowded night, we found the small size to be conducive to chatting with each other as we played. It's definitely different from standard bowling: you don't wear bowling shoes, the pins are attached to strings that pull them up (as opposed to freestanding pins at a standard alley), and you use smaller, hole-free balls. You also get three throws per frame as opposed to two. I'm not good at bowling, and I'm -- so far -- not good at the duck pin variant. But I didn't find it frustrating, just fun to learn and play! I managed no strikes and a whopping one spare, although I did find the advice posted on the walls helped me get a bit better. I think there is a type of person (someone who takes bowling seriously, or maybe too seriously) who wouldn't enjoy this, but it's really entertaining if you can go in with a good mindset. And not having to find shoes or bowling balls that fit is a huge plus. As far as timing, it took us about an hour and 15 minutes to play two full games; we didn't rush, but we didn't daddle, either. They charge by the hour or half hour, and we paid for our first hour then added a half hour to finish out a second game. A couple who came in about halfway through our visit managed to just squeeze in 10 frames in 30 minutes. We didn't explore the (intriguing) upstairs area, but I did get a fabulous drink -- the Saturn -- at the bar. While I felt like the bowling was a little pricey (not unreasonably priced, to be clear, just something I couldn't afford quite as often), I was surprised at the great value of the drink. Plus, it was delicious -- super well-balanced -- and the bartender was lovely. Even outside of the bowling fun, I could see this being a regular hangout for me if I lived in the area. But even though it's more than an hour from home for me, I'll absolutely take family and friends up to visit when I can. It's an awesome place to have in the region.

Even though it was a busy day, the environment was clean and not overwhelming with noise. What saved the establishment from me giving it lower stars is how explemary Anthony and Renoa were behind the bar, excellent mixing skills and super informative about how to navigate the website. Edit: (per the owners request) - several of the games were out of commission ranging from classics like "the walking dead" and even some traditional games like basketball. There was at least five different occasions were we were turned away from a game not working. That is what keeps it from the full five stars.

I had previously spoken to the party planners a few days prior and food was to be ready at 10. When we arrived, it was only set up for 10. When asked, I was told they ran out of placemats and such to set up even though other parties were set up. Around 10:20 the server, who we had only seen 2 times at that point, asked if the manager that had let us in had asked when we wanted the food. I responded no and that it had been arranged that it would be 10. Needless to say, it wasnt ready. They brought the food out at 10:35 and set it up. It was cold and not very good. The pancakes were clearly frozen pancakes and the sausages were hard. Also, the fruit platter was slices of watermelon, not even enough for the 15 I paid for. In the meantime, the unlimited drinks that the kids were supposed to get were absolutely limited. The server sporadically came out to serve. At 11:00 am, the server vanished. She really never refilled anything. I sent the kids to use their cards to play. I didnt see the server again until 11:40. Again, we were the only party there. I then told her I needed to pay for the balance. She asked how it was and I told her the food was cold and such. She said they tried to keep it warm. Really offered no solution or anything. She brought me the bill with almost a $100 gratuity added on. I had already stated earlier in the week to the party planners I would pay cash. I paid the gratuity in cash and asked for the manager. I spoke to the manager who gave me 2 coupons she said she happened to find...For a party that cost over $600, that did not seem to be reasonable. I still have one of the coupons which I offered to give tgem back. She said the party planners would follow up. They did not and when I called to follow up, I was told they would research it. They never called back. When I followed up again, I was told "You got 2 coupons, what else do you want?". That is exactly how they responded. Frankly, per the contract I signed, I did not get the services as described. 2 coupons to force you to spend more money...well that does not seem to equal what was paid versus the services received. I would not recommend them for a party ever again.

Put on the first floor- ok, prefer second or top, but it was fine. Server greeted us pretty quickly, good service. Games- Two different rounds of Angry Birds. Fun, allowed every level to stay on the game. Then we did Sonic- really didn't understand the logic in how that relates to your swings and wouldn't recommend. Food & Drinks- Sodas and a mimosa. We split pretzels- basic and served with queso and honey mustard and we split the chicken nachos- decent size, some chicken, corn, tomatoes, cheese. No sc or guac to dip in, but was good. We would have extended a bit, but there was a reservation right after us- which was fine. For a party of 5 if eating, I would recommend 2 hours. For Sunday they also offered brunch options.
